18th CENTURY DAGGER HANDMADE HANDFORGED HANDMADE FIGHTING KNIFE ORIGINAL PATINA
This auction is a very nice handmade dagger that dates to the 18th/early 19th century period. It measures 10.75" long overall with a 6.5" blade. The iron hand guard measures 4.75" long. This looks like a simple back country knife. The blade is hand forged with a lot of striations in the metal. The guard may have been a file. The wood handle is simple and shows many of the original tool marks from when carved. There is an original crusty patina throughout with no cleaning. Moroccan Islamic Dagger Jambiya Koummya Knife with Scabbard - Authentic
Up for auction is an antique. 19th Century Moroccan Dagger with a curved blade and scabbard. I've also seen it called just a 19th Century Moroccan Knife. By the Moroccan's it was called Jambiya Koummya. Total length is approximately 17" Blade is approximately 9" Blade appears to be made of steel. It looks like it was hand-cast. The wooden grip is white metal on the front and brass on the back. Handle had a peacock's tail pommel. The scabbard is brass with an overlay of white metal. Possibly silver and two large suspension rings. On a nitric acid test the white colored metal appeared to test positive for silver. These tests are not 100% accurate. And so there's no guarantee that it's really silver. And if it is, I can't say how much is on there-it appears to just be covering one side and it doesn't go ... moreall the way through the scabbard. But, if the Moroccan's were making these knives with silver sheaths, then this looks to be one of them. Again, no guarantee on the silver. If I had another way to test it I would. But all I have is the acid test. I've found no distinguishing marks on this piece. It was purchased at an estate auction from a world traveler's collection of edged weapons. There is a lot of information on these knives online. Please research before bidding and bid with confidence.

Vintage Fishing net weaving shuttle 1940s (Indian made?) arrowheads, knife
Hello- here we have 5 items up for auction. The top item is a weaving shuttle that was used to create fishing nets. Etc. It is handmade of wood- with no mars. Dents or dings- very nice condition. I was told that it dates to at least the 1940's- if not prior. The second item is shaped like a knife(letter opener) I have NO IDEA if it was used with the shuttle- or just happened to be made of the same wood. Likewise. It is in excellent condition- no flaws whatsoever. The next 3 items are(of course) arrowheads. I am certainly NOT an expert on them And- I'll let you decide if they are authentic or not. Up for auction is a stunning turn of the 20th century fruit knife set with a silverplate stand. Stand is marked WMFM and 10C and has four feet with a globe with a raised pattern. Knives have sharp blades and feature beautiful hand painted gilt porcelain handles. Beautiful leaf pattern in blood orange. Pink, grey and gold. Stand is in good condition. It is wobbly, top bar is slightly bent. Knives are in good condition. No cracks or chips to the porcelain. Minor wear to the gilding. Blades need a good cleaning. 2 VINTAGE FILET KNIVES KNIFE RAPALA J. MARTTIINI AND FISKARS FINLAND & SCABBARD
We have for your viewing and bidding pleasure 2 collectible and/or useable filet knives from Finland. We believe them to be somewhat vintage and primarily used for fileting fish. They both have leather scabbards with belt loops and both have wooden handles. The first we are describing is the smallest one. On one side of the wood handle it has a design of a whale and a R with a circle around it. Coming out of the whales mouth is the name RAPALA. On one side of the blade it has the name J. Marttiini in writing and also the name of the country Finland in writing. At the back part of the blade it is brass wrapped on the hilt area. The wood handle has been varnished but some of it has flaked off on the end of the handle. From the end of the point of the blade to the end of the handle it measures 8” long. The blade is 4” long and ½” wide at ... morethe hilt. The knife is sharp and in good condition. The blade has a little light scraping and scratching. This is mainly from having been sharpened. The scabbard with this knife on one side has designs stamped into it. Above the whale it has a M in a circle stamped into the sheath. The second knife and scabbard have the name FISKARS. It is stamped on to one side of the light brown leather scabbard which is stitched and riveted. The FISKARS name appears on one side of the handle and one side of the knife blade. Under this name on the blade it states STAINLESS FINLAND. This knife is in very good condition with the brass wrap on the hilt area. End to end it measures 12 1/8” long. The blade is just over 7 ½” long by ¾” wide by the hilt area. This knife is all original and has never been sharpened. The scabbard is also in a very good condition with a Velcro closure. Such was the need for fighting knives during WW2 that many US servicemen custom"theater made" fighting knives crafted while stationed overseas. This US Army WW2 GI THEATER MADE German Style FIGHTING KNIFE is in very good condition. With some light surface scratching at each side of the blade, some sharpening to the edge, and with some light"salt and pepper" pitting evident at the ricasso(ALL pictured) Otherwise, the knife is in fine shape, with absolutely no nicks, chipping, or other damage to the well crafted drop point blade. Most interestingly, it's very closely modeled after a German WW2 boot knife. It features a long, sweeping drop point blade, and a clear plexiglas handle and guard almost exactly like those of a German WW2 boot knife. It's complete with its original WW2 custom theater made sheath in very ... moregood condition, with only one bare spot at the lower front(ALL pictured) Otherwise, the sheath is in fine shape, with absolutely no rips, holes, tears, or other damage.
