The largest font measures about 6 1/2 inches tall and the smallest one is about 4 inches tall. They are in very good condition- no chips. Cracks or breaks. The fonts are painted in soft colors of blue, pink with gold accents and bit of green on one bowl. I have photographed them with two backgrounds. Vintage Holy Water Blue Mirror Guardian Angel with Child Pewter Silver Tone
Holy Water Font Blue Mirror Silver Tone Plaque Angel and Child The oval background of this font is Blue MIrror with a bevel edge. The back is covered with velvet. Has a small paper label which reads, Design Pat Pending" It also has a metal hanger. The base is 5" 3/4 long and 3" 5/8 wide. The plague is an Angel protecting a child holding a long stem flower with split rail fence behind them. I do not know what metal the plaque is made of. It has a pewter or silver look. The font is in excellent condition. No chips or repairs. At the top of the font above the angel head, the mirror is discolored because the velvet backing has pulled off 1/4" I sell vintage and used items. As is, please ask questions, all sales are final. Vintage Bisque ANGEL Holy Water Font- Germany 5683 OLD Christian Nice Piece This is quite old. Incised 5683 and Germany on back of piece. This is made of bisque. It is matte in finish and there is some wear to the paint. Holy water font was used and shows some soiling in the bowl and also on reverse that I have not tried to clean. Brown drips on reverse is how this came to me. Smaller in size, this is a pretty piece and measures appx 4 3/4" high. One part of edge has some irregularity and looking closely, I believe it was an issue with cleaning the piece prior to firing. I'm seeing no repairs. This is quite nice. Please see and enlarge pix. Vintage Holy Water Font, Pink Plastic Angel Head
This auction is for a vintage pink plastic holy water font in the shape of an angel. It is about 5.5 inches high and 6 inches from wing tip to wing tip. The bowl to hold the water extends out about 1.5 inches from the rest of the font. The details on this font are really beautiful. And it is in very good condition, with no chips, cracks or breaks. At the very top of the halo you can see a small dent, which was probably caused by hanging the font from a nail, but I do not see any other damage. The font is a real peachy-pink color. As shown in the first picture. The rest of the pictures show the color to be lighter than it really is. Vintage Rare Bisque Holy Water Font - Angel / Cherub figurine - parian style
Vintage Rare Bisque Holy Water Font- Angel/ Cherub figurine- parian style This holy water font is shaped as an angel or cherub holding a benitier shell. It is well-modeled and cast out of bisque porcelain. The interior and exterior of the shell is glazed(to hold the water) and there are glazed highlights on the tips of her wings. The flowers on her headdress, and the heart on her collar. It hangs from the wall by a wire affixed to the back. The font measures approximately 10 inches long. 5.375 inches wide, and 4 inches deep. I do not know the exact age of this item and there are no maker's marks. I believe it to be a vintage item from the 20th century. Made from a classic design. There is a similar, but not exact, version of this font in the 1898 catalogue of English parian manufacturers Robinson and Leadbeater. I do not believe it was ... moremade by R&L as it is not parian, however, from its detail and beauty it appears to have been made by another highly-skilled porcelain manufacturer. This vintage holy water font is in excellent condition. With no noticeable chips or cracks. There are two minor firing flaws where her wings meet her hair(see photos 10 and 11) There are also some pepper marks. Or imperfections in the porcelain, an example being on the ring finger of her left hand(see photo 9) The wire hook on the back is a little rusty and the interior of the shell is discolored or soiled, but I have not tried to clean it(see photo 6) Overall, these minor manufacturing flaws are barely noticeable and do not distract from how well it displays. I have described and photographed this font to the best of my ability. And being that it is a vintage item, it is being sold as-is. Feel free to ask me any questions before making your purchase. Antique Holy Water Font This auction is for a really nice and very well made antique wall mounted holy water font that was made in Germany. The font is shaped like an angel holding a large clamshell that would be used to hold holy water. It’s hand painted with a great flow blue style accent and it has gold trim at the high points. The font measures about 10½" tall. So it’s a nice, large piece. It’s in excellent condition minus a few manufactured imperfections– like the split in the porcelain on the back and what looks like some kind of rough area at the clamshell edge near the angel’s chest. These articles are made of molded plastic and, although its hard to make out, at least two of them are marked"Hartland Plastics" on the back. Hartland was a big producer of plastic Wild West-themed toys back in the 1950s and 60s. The switch covers and font are in generally excellent condition with some light wear, more so on their backs than fronts. Additionally, there are a couple of small errant gilt trim spots on the face of the font's Angel, and one of the Angel switch covers has an extremely short, tight stress crack directly to the right of the lower ... morescrew hole. She has golden hair and holds a pale blue shell. You fill that with holy water. Theres 2 small holes behind the head where they used to tie a string to mount on wall. Theres also a round hole if you want to hang it on a nail. Part of my uncle's(who married my Dads sister) sisters estate. It was given to me. Now sadly. I must part with it as I am retiring soon. It's a white porcelain with hand painting and gilt details, there's a cross, the cherub and the small Valentine heart has an arrow going through it. It measures about 4 3/4" tall and the condition is wonderful considering the age, it has no chips, no cracks and no repairs. Expect the signs of wear for something that's true vintage or antique. This is a very collectible vintage molded plastic holy water font depicting the Guardian Angel protecting a young child and with unusual Morning Glory style fluted blue and gold basin all cast in single mold one piece design. It probably dates from the 1950s or earlier and is marked#59. Hartland Molded. Hartland Wisc(onsin) on the reverse back on the left hand side of the angel's wing. The font measures 5 1/2" long, with basin 3" wide and 1 1/2" deep and is graded in Very Fine condition. It came to me with a little brass nail included which fits perfectly into the tiny round perforation at the pinion of the angel's wing where it touches the face(cf photos#3&4) the ideal spot for mounting this very lightweight and very good example of excellent vintage Catholic memorabilia. I have photoed the base mark for you. I am not sure which American pottery maker made this I do believe there is age to the item though. Well there are no chips or cracks and then minimal useage to be picky there are asome FACTORY breathe dots in the pottery but I am picking. All in all a very nice holy water font in my opinion. Holy Water Font The font measures 5" tall. It has a kneeling angel with a pink robe and folded hands. There is a a gold cross on the bottom bowl that holds holy water. The face is very detailed. The robe is the perfect shade of vintage pink. It is made of a hard plastic material and has a tab with a hole on the back so that it can be attached to the wall. It is marked Hong Kong on the back.
