I went to a ... moregood auction in upstate New York the other day and tried to pick up smaller furniture that fits within Greyhound Express size limits. Anyway this is a score and I'm proud to offer this for your consideration. I believe this is a No 17 model desk and it is truly in very nice condition with no signs of repairs or break except the bottom drawer has a minor glue in corner. The finish is very good as the pictures should show off and the original key works fine and all hardware is original and working perfectly. It is nice and sturdy a sets flush with no wobbles. It measures 47" tall x 30" wide x 17" deep. The back is not beautiful with the white wash but the original Larkin labels are present and in good shape. Once again Greyhound Express is great and should ship this for about 90 west coast and 70 east. As long as you can pick it up. Local pick up is always option too and I now have a utility trailer and can deliver within reason. I tried to picture it well to both show it off and answer questions and price it nice so shipping is easier on wallet. I saw the same desk in online shop for 650 plus shipping. Meubles RINCK" is an entity specializing in high end furniture inside the RINCK group. The desk is 52" wide x 27" deep x 30 1/2" high. The underside is stamped with the maker's mark by M. Rinck and the seal of"UNION NATle INDUSTRIE FRANCAISES DE L'AMEUBLEMENT" The 3 drawers all lock with a deadbolt and each have their own key. The two outside drawers measure 10 1/2" wide X 20" deep X 3" high with the middle drawer measuring 15 1/2" wide X 21" deep X 3" high. This desk was my father's pride and joy. My earliest memories of it date back to the 1970s when we lived in NYC and it was in his private study. It is in excellent condition with signs of use on the burgundy leather working area on top which also has a couple of stains. A competent furniture restorer can easily replace this leather piece but I would order a replacement directly from Rinck to preserve the desk's heritage. The following information was supplied by Rinck in reply to my recent email inquiry regarding the desk's provenance: Dear Sir, I can confirm that desk is coming from our company and Parisian work shop. I can not be more precise about the year. Because all client's files are archived, but: It is a Louis XV style desk, traditionally manufactured with a solid oak structure, with mortaises and tenons joined, hand dovetail joins for the drawers, black lacquered finishing, ornate with sand casted, chiseled, and ormolu set of bronze. The round UNIFA stamp on the underside of the desk is there to assure the desk has respectability and was constructed to the standards of the Professional Union. The UNIFA stamp also confirms your desk is from the period between 1960 and 1980. Because after it would have been stamped"Groupement ébénisterie d'art" As Rinck at this period was only working on

Here is an awesome rolltop desk that is about 100 years old. $695 or best offer. The photos show the desk utilized as an electronic device station. Very cool. The back and sides are gorgeously paneled. Too. Needless to say. It's not factory-fresh. Sold as is. My own Dad bought it in about 1953 from a pharmacist William Votteler in Louisville. It is also finished on the back so it can be used as a floating desk and it will look great from every angle. It is solid oak with a blonde wood veneer and it is very heavy. The desk measure 29-1/2" tall, it is 46-1/4" long and 23-1/4" wide. The chair is 32" tall, 18" wide and 17" deep. The seat is 17-3/4" tall and 15-1/2" deep. This is a very fine antique American carved oak desk. It is large and very substantial with a new set in felt top framed by oak. The drawers are carved. Dovetailed and retain the original brass knobs. It has fancy carved corners and panels framed by decorative moldings all around. The doors have nicely carved raised panels and decorative moldings. Inside there are three drawers on one side and two pull out shelves on the other side. This is an exceptional antique oak desk in excellent condition with original finish and nice patina. Circa 1910. Antique Roll Top Quarter-sawn desk in oak--early 1900s and chair
This is a beautiful S-curve roll top desk in very good condition. We have owned this desk for 35 years. But the prior owner found an envelope inside the desk dated 1905. It is crafted all around so does not have to be placed against a wall. The drawers have dovetail joints-a few of the joints are loose, but drawers work fine. There are 3 locks-one on the roll-top, one on the side or end of the desk, and one on the right-hand door and we have all keys and the locks work perfectly. The top rolls up and down very smoothly. I do not know who made the desk. The oak chair did not come with it, but matches nicely. 2 of the back slats are broken but the swivel and wheels are very sturdy and work great. Chair is free. We are pleased to be offering today a gorgeous solid tiger sawn oak double pedestal raised panel lawyers flat top desk that dates from the ... more1890s to 1910s. this is a typical double raised panel desk that someone has modified and maybe it was a roll top base at one time. I am not sure. But it came out of a local estate sale. You can tell that the top has been remanufactured somewhere along the line in the pictures and the front piece between the two columns is definitely been replaced. The rest of the desk is really nice and has raised panels and a medium oak stain finish. The back is all raised panel except for the modesty panel that is all plain tiger, which would indicate that someone probably drilled holes in the original panel and this modesty panel has been replaced. It is non raised panel. The desk has four drawers going down one side that are all the same size and dove tail. On the right hand side it has three drawers with the bottom one camouflaged as a double drawer, which is really a file cabinet drawer. It originally had pull out sides for writing surfaces at the top of each drawer bank that are missing. They said that they would look for them, but they have not shown up yet. If the buyer so desires, we can make a pair and ship them to you for an additional cost of $85 for the two. A

This is a oak travelers desk. It is in good condition for the age. Measuresments are 13" x 9" x 4 3/4" It does has some paint loss to the lid. A black scuff mark on one of the sides and a scratch arcoss the lid(not cracked) and a few darkened shots to the wood(see photo) I'm not sure if the key is the right one or if the lock assembly is broke because it does not seem to want to lock but the lid does close all the way with the lock assembly not working. Felt looks to be original and both felt boards fold with the felt holding it when folded back. If you have any questions please ask before bidding. 19th CENTURY GOLDEN OAK "S" ROLL TOP BUSINESS DESK
This unique. Beautiful, solid oak business desk is a replica of the Ross Desk's design patented in 1883 and one of the first roll top designs made by Forest City Furniture Co. Rockford, IL. This piece has hand written penciled notes that are barely legible on the wood underneath the desk in the drawer space. It is pictured in the Gallery as photo#8 and there is a legible date of 6- 1888 above a list of other written words that are illegible on this photographed panel in the small square lightened section. It is visible through the use of a magnifying glass. There are two writing slats on each side above the drawer and cabinet side pedestals. There is a paneled wide knee space under the desk top; five dovetail. Tongue and groove full extension drawers including wooden dowels as shown in photo#11. Oak Desk from carved 1905 Esty Pump Organ cabinet
This is an old Estey pump organ built in 1905. It is in oak with lots of incised carvings. The original high back/top had been removed for a mantel top. The works were missing parts and beyond my expertise. So were removed. I tried to use all the pieces of original wood in the conversion. I made doors in the bottom(for storage) from the original panels, recessed the panel where the pump pedals were, for a knee hole. The carved panel that was in front of the keyboard is used on top as a splash back. 1 board was added to the keyboard cover, needed for extra width.The 2 stationary carved panels at top, left and right, were removed and made to slide for access to storage space. The original sheet music stand was cut down, hinges added to let it fold forward for access to more storage in which I added dividers for cubbyholes. I made cubbyholes ... morefor the interior and used an old rolltop desk top for a slide-out writing surface. I attached the back panel w/screws to make them removable. The shelves in bottom storage are removable. This could be a great computor desk. As far as I know its one of a kind. I am a proffessional antique furniture restorer so this is not a cobbeled up piece. If I had the space, I would have to keep it(per she who must be obeyed) I also installed casters.
