Some vintage wear, but nothing to diminish the antique beauty. The roll top rolls beautifully. The top cover appears to be restored. High quality. Hard to find swivel chair with very few flaws. Dating from the 1890s era. It is in complete restored condition and all set to go in the home. We take a lot of pride in doing up our antiques nicely, and we certainly went all out here, with our head refinisher Norm doing a job of unbelievable quality on this desk. It has a tiger sawn writing surface in the center, which had to be glued back down as most desks of this age. We also had to re-glue everything, reinforce the roll, sand, strip, stain, and apply multiple coats of sealer and satin sheen lacquer on this hard-to-find 66-inch-wide roll-top desk by the Derby Desk Company of Boston, Mass. Antique Miniature Walnut & Bone Roll Top Cabinet With Three Drawers
Antique walnut and bone miniature roll top cabinet with three graduating drawers and a door. It stands 11" high. 7" deep, and 9" wide. Under the roll top there are six small cubby holes and a ledge for a pen or pencil. The three dovetailed drawers have bone knobs. On the door is a bone cross and a bone keyhole. There is a lock, but no key. It has four brass decorated ball feet. A very unusual miniature cabinet. This would be great for dolls. The top cubby holes have been papered in the past.

Untitled Document Two Antique Roll Top Desk Nightstands 1940s These two roll top desks can be used as desks or nightstands. They have had very limited use as they have been in the guest room. Two appraisers agreed that this style originated from the 1920s. But based on the design and canvas used as a backing for the roll top, it is very likely that they were built in the 1940s. Under the roll top is a writing surface with 4 small open compartments and one large compartment. One of the drawers was missing all parts except for the front of the drawer. That drawer was rebuilt using similar wood and the design of the period to match the other drawer. No glues were used on the rebuilt drawer to match the construction of the first drawer. One of the backs was replaced before we received them. The unit with the replacement back has a top that sticks. ... moreWe believe the back was originally removed to correct this. This is a custom Cutler Desk made in Buffalo. NY. I bought it in Portland OR about 30 years ago, I was told it was custom made for an attorney. It has 50 slots accessed by a slide system which is believe in unique to Cutler Desks. The mahogany slides move left and right to access the slots.The interior has the 50 slots, two drawers and two pencil/pen drawers.It has desk lock and key. The roll works perfectly and it has raised panels. The back is not finished and needs go against a wall. I have down sized homes and no longer have room for the desk. It is in my garage and needs a new home. The desk 60 inches wide and tall and very heavy.

Beautiful late 19th C Continental oak marquetry miniature desk / roll top
I called this a(miniature) desk for want of knowing what else to label it. But regardless of its purpose, the marquetry here is absolutely incredible. Not only are the drawer faces done with great detail, but the roll top itself is sections so as to be marquetry as well. something I've never seen before. As for dimensions, its 16 1/4" high, 12 1/2" wide and 6 3/8" deep at the base. The construction, moreover, is all wood pegs. no nails. There are though two apologies. First, there's some missing inlay at both ends of the top board(see my last picture) and more seriously, the veneer along one edge of the roll case needs restoration in the form of both adding some wood and then matching marquetry veneer(see my 11th picture) In any event, there is no reserve, but buyer pays $16 for USPS domestic shipping.

The silver plated dome piece stands approx. 5" tall x 5 1/4" I have only polished it slightly it could us a little more. Sits on 3 ornate Lion and claw legs. I see a small metal fracture on the base that isn't bad and hardly shows when on the table. This would be a nice piece for your next party. Is 5" high and has a hinge that rolls back with a handle on front. Butter Dish has 3 legs with lion's head on top and claws on bottom of each 3" leg. No inside dish but I have added a round glass dish that fits inside nicely. Silverplate is very clean, shiny and has no usage marks.
