Meubles RINCK" is an entity specializing in high end furniture inside the RINCK group. The desk is 52" wide x 27" deep x 30 1/2" high. The underside is stamped with the maker's mark by M. Rinck and the seal of"UNION NATle INDUSTRIE FRANCAISES DE L'AMEUBLEMENT" The 3 drawers all lock with a deadbolt and each have their own key. The two outside drawers measure 10 1/2" wide X 20" deep X 3" high with the middle drawer measuring 15 1/2" wide X 21" deep X 3" high. This desk was my father's pride and joy. My earliest memories of it date back to the 1970s when we lived in NYC and it was in his private study. It is in excellent condition with signs of use on the burgundy leather working area on top which also has a couple of stains. A competent furniture restorer can easily replace this leather piece but I would order a replacement directly from Rinck to preserve the desk's heritage. The following information was supplied by Rinck in reply to my recent email inquiry regarding the desk's provenance: Dear Sir, I can confirm that desk is coming from our company and Parisian work shop. I can not be more precise about the year. Because all client's files are archived, but: It is a Louis XV style desk, traditionally manufactured with a solid oak structure, with mortaises and tenons joined, hand dovetail joins for the drawers, black lacquered finishing, ornate with sand casted, chiseled, and ormolu set of bronze. The round UNIFA stamp on the underside of the desk is there to assure the desk has respectability and was constructed to the standards of the Professional Union. The UNIFA stamp also confirms your desk is from the period between 1960 and 1980. Because after it would have been stamped"Groupement ébénisterie d'art" As Rinck at this period was only working on

Overall height is47.75" high with the writing desk top at a standard 30" height from the floor. It has a blind front oak panel where the center drawer once sat but for some reason the previous owner chose to do away with the drawer and make a blind front oak board. The original drawer guides are still intact and you could easily add a drawer box to the panel to have a top center drawer again. From the materials used to the production values themselves. Everything about this bookcase is of the utmost quality. The flame mahogany, for instance, displays a remarkably rich complexion and a pronounced grain that are sure to look great in any setting. Complementing the exquisite wood is not only the fine, stained interior, but also the solid brass, winged escutcheons, all of which house functioning locks. I added a steel bracket on to stabilize it a few years ago, but it was neither an attractive nor particularly stable solution. Also the top does not close flush because the hinges have been attached incorrectly and need to be moved(as simple as drilling two new holes and puttying over the old ones) On the plus side, the quarter sawn oak is really beautiful, the tiger oak pattern is exactly what you'd want in this kind of piece. The Clock works are not marked as far as I can see and the Clock runs for a few minutes and then stops, most likely just needing a good cleaning though I am no clock expert. The Sterling is fully Hallmarked for the fine Period Silversmiths W J Myatt& Co. Birmingham England, Sterling Silver and the Date Letter for 1910. The Clock is in very fine condition overall, the Sterling face shows a few light marks consistent with being over 100 years old and the Case is in excellent condition. Beautiful antique golden oak 3" x 5" card filing box. This box measures 5 5/8" wide x 3 1/4" deep x 4 1/8" tall. The sides of the are constructed of 1/4" thick oak. Top and bottom are 1/8" thick solid oak. Unusual hinge mechanism is original and functions normally. Original finish was restored with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand-polished with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax to a soft luster. Excellent condition. All joints are solid. We are pleased to offer this antique desk. This is a beautiful old desk dating to the early half of the 20th century. The desk is made of solid oak in the Mission. Arts& Crafts style. It is"Stickley" styled with a clean, simple design. The desk top is compromised of 2 planks which provide a generous work space. It has a single center drawer for pens, pencils, etc. Each side features two, open shelves for paper/file storage. The legs are simple and slightly supercede the height of the table top. The desk has wooden buttons which cover the screws/nails. It is in very good antique condition. There is a very slight bow on the top which is neither severe or distracting. There are some minor nicks and dings from use, but again, nothing too obvious or distracting. There is one screw cover that is missing on the back of the desk(see ... morephoto 10) The desk is sturdy and the screws can be tightened if they loosen. Tiger Oak Mission Style Drop Down Desk Quarter Sewn
This beautiful desk is made out of oak wood. Tiger oak wood, quarter sawn and is in solid, good original condition. This wonderful secretary style desk has a light/medium oak stain finish color, and it has a pull-down front with a drawer and shelving inside the top section, see pictures. Dove-tailed drawer with wood handles on the outside, see pictures, and the drawer is working properly. This is a high-quality piece with an elegant mission/arts and crafts style design. The condition is very good for it's age but there are some aging imperfections with a small dark spot on the top, and some on the bottom shelf and a couple inside. Also some sort of small circle outline near the top key hole. It looks like the front drop down is made in two pieces and there is a small separation of the two in an area. Really just part of the old character ... morebut I want to point out as much as I see so that you can decide if you are interested. Escutcheon needs re-attached but I do have that and both original keys. There is a key hole on the drop down part and on the drawer. This is local pick up only.

This terrific, interesting piece is constructed of oak, which has a mid to dark mellow patina. The most wonderful feature of this desk is the fact that the surface is constructed of oak planks. Not a single piece of timber. The result is a mix of gorgeous grains and feature timber. The desk stands on stunning turned, reeded legs, and has three drawers on each side, and a large central drawer. Each drawer front features ornate carving around the escutcheon. The raised attitional drawer bank is a wonderful feature and consists of two smaller side drawers and a wider central drawer. There are two original keys for the desk, though locks have seized up over time. This is a large and impressive piece! The desk itself measures 137cm wide. 84cm deep and 75cm high. The overall height extends to 101.5cm including the detachable drawers on the top. This gorgeous desk is scarce. And has character and charm in abundance! It presents in very good antique condition, is strong and robust, and has great overall appeal as well as functionality. I am selling one of my family heirlooms. It has been in the family over 70 years. I am not sure of its origin or maker. It is heavily carved all over in great detail. It is gorgeous. The only problem I found was one of the hinges is in need of repair. I have tried to take good photos for you to see its condition. There are no visable nicks or pieces missing.
