The desk top measures 18" wide x 12" deep. The seat measures 10" x 10" the back rest measures 10" high. The Cast Iron base of the chair is marked" CHANDLER" along with the patent dates. It also features 6 holes around the base for securing it to the floor if desired. Beautiful oak linen cabinet/writing desk
This is a beautiful piece of furniture. I use it for display of decorative items and for storage of linens. The right side fold-down piece is slate and can be used for writing. There are three glass shelves inside and four standard-size drawers and one double drawer on the bottom. This would be a great addition to your home. Mossy Oak Desk Clock-Camo-Metal-Battery-5.5"-Not a Passion-It's an Obsession
I purchased this at an estate sale and when I opened the back. The AA battery had leaked and wouldn't come out and of course the the clock didn't work and and the alarm stem was broken off. I had decided to not list it but then checked out the other Mossy Oak clocks and there isn't one like this one listed so I worked on the battery, got it out, cleaned up the leak with alcohol(I'm for hire) and got it working and it keeps time. Second. Minute, hour, and alarm hands work just fine. The minute and hour hands have the glow in the dark green spots. I can't figure out the alarm stem so that may or may not be fixable. This is a HEAVY brown metal clock with a 3.5 x 2 inch felt lined base and it stand about 5.5 inches in height. The dial has the MOSSY OAK name and logo with"It's not a passion, It's an obsession" ... morephrase around it. Outside of the numbers is a ring of camo. The front is glass, not plastic and it is in excellent condition with no scratches. The whole clock(except broken alarm stem) is in excellent condition. This is a really cool clock and if the alarm doesn't work and not needed. The stem still fits in the top, camouflages the fact that it doesn't work! I wouldn't be surprised if this is a really old clock. It doesn't show up on the Mossy Oak home site, isn't available at Cabelas. Also on the hutch is a pencil holder that attaches tot he side but is not attached. it got knocked off when moving it out of my house, still in one piece but not attached) The locks also work on the hutch drawers but again, I have lost the keys. The back section of this desk is what makes it very different and sort of unique. It has a filing section in it. There are two doors that also have a lock without a key. The left door has a latch and the right door locks. There are several"cubby holes" with some of the original paperboard boxes/trays and there are also other section in different sizes back there. Some of the boxes have markings on them such as insurance claims. Losses etc. I had the desk refinished and cleaned the best it could be without over sanding and damaging the original look and feel of the desk in 1976. The top of the desk has not had the leather put back on it. You can see where it was damaged and mostly removed to still use the desk. Impressive piece of antique oak furniture& commands a presence& comments from most everyone who sees it. It's a tall counter-height. Great for standing at. The drawers& storage are numerous, with gorgeous tambour over the vertical filing compartment. The piece comes apart in three sections: the two base towers and the slanted top. There's plenty of character in this exceptionally well-made. Heavy oak desk. You'll find signs of its history and remarkable depth of patina decorating its gorgeous quarter sawn tiger oak surfaces. To my eye, the character and age-appropriate signs of use add to the character of this tremendous desk, making it that much more ... moreprofound. Personally I'd never want to refinish it, but that will be up to the next custodian of this venerable antique. It seems this piece is pretty rare as I've not found any others available in searches. We've given this a good cleaning and a coat of paste wax inside& out(whew! Waxed the drawer-runners so they glide decently. I think it's looking more fabulous than ever! When I originally collected this awesome piece. It came with some additional parts which appear to stand on the top in back, sort of a railing the full length of the desk, with a metal bracket attached to the edge for holding(I figure) rubber stamps. There are some spots where you can see it was attached but I've never tried to reattach or restore this as I preferred it to be clean and simple without the additional detail, but whatever parts I have are included. Measures about 8' long. Desk is about 46" high at its tallest top of the slope& about 32-1/2" wide. This piece will want to be picked up by a mover. Antique Child School Desk Oak Cast Iron Adjustable Tilt Top Book Drawer Rack
As found at estate sale from garage. Dust and all. 23" tall desk top, back of seat is 26 1/2" tall. Desk top is 22" x 15. 26" overall length. Desk tilts and entire top goes up and down to adjust as child grows, it has a 3" up and down play by loosening 2 round knobs on side. The top also slants at an angle and is adjustable. I could not find a makers name on it. Except the ink well is made by Henry Wilkes Bakelite, it has a glass well. This desk will last a lifetime and will be passed down from generation to generation. It's a great investment. Picture your children sitting in it for pictures every year to see them growing up.

This is a fine example of a quality Victorian oak desk. It was manufactured circa 1890 and sold by the Paine Furniture Co. of Boston. The desk is made from quarter-sawn oak with lots of detail. The condition is excellent with smooth working and well-fitting drawers. Over the desks history the finish has evolved into warm colors with great patina. I do have the key for the desk. Here is a fantastic original Georgian circa late 1700's English solid oak desk with gorgeous figured mahogany. The mahogany would have probably been added at a later date such as the early 1800's when figured mahogany veneer became more popular and more readily available. The pigeon hole interior has a unique look and design with lots of extra added details as well as a well interior below the writing surface which simply slides open. The interior is solid oak.some beautiful quartersawn and this slant front will lock with a replaced lock and key. Hinges are heavy iron and original. The top drawer is a false drawer and then the 2 over 3 drawers are all graduated. All of the drawers inside and out are hand dovetailed as shown. The hardware is a later addition.possibly and most probably changed if and when the figured mahogany veneer ... morewas added in the very early 1800's. The desk is supported by a bracket foot base. Solid wood, nice details, and in great condition. It even has some of the old calligraphy drawer labels. For full disclosure, some of the knobs are missing from top drawers, but you can still open them. Some small areas of color fade. 1 Antique Oak Desk with"Secret Compartment" Chair Overall dimensions of this desk are 35" deep X 46" wide X 30 1/2" high. The hutch part of the desk is 17" Deep X 46" Wide X 21" High. The depth of the"Secret Compartment" back filing section of this desk is 13" Deep and app. 46" wide. This desk is much different than any that I have seen. It is a desk. With hutch that sits on top and is held in place with 4 dowels, one of which is broken. The desk has 12 drawers all of which are original and work. There are no guides, they slide on the wood. The drawer locks that hold the other drawers shut/locked all work and are not broken in any manner. The locks on the drawers do work but some how I have managed to lose the keys to this desk. The hutch has 4 drawers 16"cubby holes" for ... morestorage and one pencil holder drawer on the right and only the front piece of the left pencil holder. Also on the hutch is a pencil holder that attaches tot he side but is not attached. it got knocked off when moving it out of my house, still in one piece but not attached) The locks also work on the hutch drawers but again, I have lost the keys. The back section of this desk is what makes it very different and sort of unique. It has a filing section in it. There are two doors that also have a lock without a key. The left door has a latch and the right door locks. There are several"cubby holes" with some of the original paperboard boxes/trays and there are also other section in different sizes back there. Some of the boxes have markings on them such as insurance claims. Losses etc. I had the desk refinished and cleaned the best it could be without over sanding and damaging the original look and feel of the desk in 1976. The top of the desk has not had the leather put back on it. You can see where it was damaged and mostly removed to still use the desk. Large Antique Oak Roll Top Desk Vintage Very Nice
For sale is a very nice classic antique roll top desk. This desk is in excellent shape and all original. It is quarter sawn white oak and measures 65.5 across x 35.5 inches deep- uncommonly large for a vintage roll top desk. It stands 51 inches tall with the superstructure in place. I purchased the desk from an antique store in Pueblo. Colorado about 10 years ago and was told that it came from an attorney's office from Westcliffe, CO. I am no antique expert and can't estimate the age- only clue is the lock hardware that states a patent date of December 1884 and inscribed with"Corbin Cabin Lock Co. We are converting our home office into a bedroom and no longer need it. I have kept it regularly moisturized with Howard Feed-N-Wax wood preserver. All drawers are original and appear to have never been repaired or altered. The roll ... moretop is in excellent shape including the underside material and rolls smoothly to close and locks securely. Mail slots on each side(for after hours mail delivery if desk is closed and locked) see photos. Keys are included. The lap drawer includes 8 compartments for easy organization, and the bottom right drawer is a file drawer. It can be disassembled for transport or storage.
