SORRY FOR THE PICTURES FOR SOME REASON THEY DIDN`T COME OUT GREAT. This is a very nice mahogany partners desk made in England circa 1870. Its in very good condition. The only thing I can see is that there has been a repair to the top right of the desk but looks fine, there are a few marks in the leather again nothing really bad. To either side of the desk there are pull out slides with leather insert. The quality is very good the drawer linings are solid oak with dove tail joints. This comes in 3 parts two pedestals and the top. It has brass handles and also brass key plates. There is one key plate that is missing. Measurements are 60 wide. 45 deep, 32 high.

And unique spiral full columns flanking the drawers at the base Circa 1830's. This fine 19th century piece has its original wavy glass and original hardware with all the locks intact but the key just aids in opening the doors at the top and doesn't work the locks. This secretary desk does separate into two pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. This secretary measures 76 1/2 inches tall.41 3/4 inches wide,24 inches deep at the base, 13 inches deep at the bookcase portion top and weighs approximately 150 lbs. This piece does show some veneer chips and some areas where the veneer has been patched with newer veneer. This is very common in period Empire pieces of this age along with some slight age shrinkage cracks in the veneer. Partners' Desk- Antique English Mahogany -London- circa 1850
This over-sized partner's desk was made in England circa 1850. I found it in an antique store in 1974 and restored it. It served as my desk in my 40 years practicing law. And it never failed to draw compliments. It is the ingenious"pedestal" style, meaning that it consists of three pieces: 2 side pedestals(on concealed rollers) which contain locking drawers on one side and cabinets on the other, and the top which is inlaid leather. The top is grooved so as to fit perfectly atop the pedestals for a solid connection,yet easy moving. The tops of these desks were made of one solid piece of mahogany. As such, they are prone to crack along one line across the desktop. This was the case when I bought it. We repaired it and recovered the top using an ENTIRE cowhide. Vintage Antique Mahogany Rolltop Desk by Derby Desk Company
This Roll-top desk is a Fine antique. Solid mahogany manufactured by Derby Desk Company Boston, Massachusetts. The desk lock is by Corbin cabinet lock company with a patent date Dec 16, 1884. I think the desk is approximately 1920, but I've gotten that from looking at other desks and growing up with other antique furniture. The size is 50" wide by 33 1/2" deep by 50 1/2" tall. It has the S type tambour roll. After the roll top is open. The side panel guides have locks that when released, allow the hinged sides to swing out of the way. All the cubbyholes, drawers and hardware are original and in good condition. The desk has raised panel sides and back including back of kneehole, with none missing. HISTORY: I bought the desk from a Mr. Harmon in Phoenix 1998 and have a receipt in the desk that Mr. Harmon bought it from his ... morefather Nathaniel P. Harmon in April 1980 in Jaffrey New Hampshire. The senior Mr. Harmon bought the desk from the original owner 40 years previous. Who was from Boston, Massachusetts. He left a stogie burn on the top of the desk, which somebody partially rubbed out, and now it's called a character mark. I thought of doing an overall staining, touch up and polishing, but decided not to, pending what a buyer might want to do if anything. This desk has been in a smoke free house since 1998. It in a great old original finish and we are sorry but we took these pictures after giving it a preliminary cleaning. After the polish drys out the crotched mahogany panels on the desk's lid will really pop with it graining that is a bit subdued after it was polished. This Maddox Secretary Desk is from the 1940's. It has been in my family since I was born. It is approximately 84 inches tall. 36 inches wide and 21 inches deep when closed. When opened the table top/desk measures 35 in. x 15 in. There is one flaw on the top left of the bottom drawer and can be seen in the fourth picture. First. The pictures do not do justice to the beautiful piece of work. It's a Flame Mahogany Writing Desk with overhead 2-Door bookcase and single Drawer below. This piece was estimated to have been made in the 1800's and is in remarkable condition. The inside 2 drawers are hand dove-tailed. The bottom wide drawer is hand dove-tailed as well. The bead work along the front doors and along the top is in excellent condition and beautifully done. This great piece of furniture hows signs of age as you can see in the close up picture of the zipper-like crackle in the veneer, but, there is no separation. The desk measures 80" at the peak and is 39" wide and is mounted on 4 turned legs. The depth at the top is 11" and is 18-1/2" for the drawer section. Exquisite Rare Butler's Desk Chest of Drawers Burled Maple and Mahogany
This is a Stunning solid Burled Maple and Mahogany Butlers Desk Chest of Drawers. It weighs approximately 250-300 pounds and measures 52” in height. 42 3/4” in width, and 21 ½”in depth. It features beautiful detailing and a deep rich patina. A large false drawer front drops to reveal a Burled Maple writing surface with six small drawers and a middle storage compartment all over three drawers flankled by twisted columns. I'm not sure of the date on this piece. I've had several antique dealers and professionals who looked at it and the concensus is between 1930-1950 possibly made in Ohio. They all agree it is a very rare piece and something you may never see again. Vintage Mahogany Maddox Claw Foot Secretary Desk Bookcase Chippendale Style
This is a very nice Chippendale style mahogany secretary desk. The desk is complete and is in good condition with several cosmetic flaws but great structural integrity. This desk is complete with original"Genuine Mahogany" tag(photo#3) 2 paper Maddox tags and a metal Maddox shield(photo#9) The shield reads"Maddox Colonial Reproductions Jamestown, NY. The desk is complete with claw feet(photo#5) and beautiful top decoration(photo#4) There are four large drawers in the bottom part of the desk that work perfectly. The desk is quite beautiful when you put the slant top down into writing position. The writing surface is in nice condition but does have several scratches on it. There are five small drawers across the inside of the desk that are topped by 8 letter slots(4 on each side) an open center space with a door, and two hidden ... morevertical pillar drawers(photo#6) There is some damage around the knobs of the drawers and door, particular the center drawer and door, and something stuck inside one of the letter slots(see photo#7) The glass doors on the top of the desk are in very nice condition with the only visible flaw being some imperfection(retouching? in the finish at the center of the doors(photo#8) There are three shelves behind the glass doors. The top shelf has some paper stuck on three side of the back left corner(I do not know if it can be removed or what the finish looks like underneath it) and a circular scuff mark on the back in the center(photo#10) On the lower portion of both the right and left side there is some kind of residue or damage(photo#11) I do not know exactly what it is or if it can be repaired. Finally, the curved parts that stick out above the first large drawer have some damage from moving(photo#12) This desk was in the living room of my grandparent's house from the 1950's or 1960's until we recently sold the house and moved it up to New Jersey. Civil War Era Mahogany & Flamed Mahogany Desk Organizer with Secret Drawers
Up for auction is a beautiful Mahogany Desk Organizer that is more than likely out of a Mid 1800's Spinet desk. This organizer is in very nice shape with it's original leather missing where the writing surface would be. Organizer has two hidden drawers with finger cutouts so that they can be accesses by the owner.but don't tell anyone. It will be our little secret. This organizer is well made and finger jointed on top with what I believe is Pine. Organizer is 34.25" wide x 19" deep and 10" tall. There is a few pieces of missing veneer on the front of the cabinet cubbies, but does not take away from this piece. This would make a great mail/office organizer in a small aparment/ office. An antique. Circa 1800, Sheraton style butler's desk chest of drawers. It measures 44" tall by 47" wide by 22" deep. Original finish and oval brass pulls. The fronts and top are stripped mahogany veneers, the top drop front with oval string inlay. The sides are sold mahogany. The cubbyhole is missing four brass knobs, and key to center door. All drawer locks are present. Veneer trim missing from the end sides of the top board, mahogany repair plugs on front case above the locks on three drawers. Shrinkage vertical crack to the left side board, and shorter vertical crack on the right side board, short crack to thr right front corner on the top board.

1860's Flame Mahogany Late American Empire Desk with Carved Corner Columns and Feet This estate item is ready to use as is. It has beautifully carved front corner columns and feet. The inner desk case and all drawers are dovetailed construction. The front dovetails of the drawers have been bulked up with added strips of wood that cover them up. but they are there! The back corners of the drawers are dovetailed as well. I pulled the inner case out so you can see the construction. Also there is rough cut wood on all drawer bottoms and back of inner case. Secondary wood looks to be pine. The pulls as you can see are changed out to glass. The key is with it and works to secure the drop front. All and all this is a very pretty desk ready to use! English Mahogany Schoolmaster's Antique Desk w/ Slanted Leather Top Late 19th Century w/ Ebonized Reeded Legs in the George III Style Item# 130009FPX20 This is a just lovely English Antique Schoolmaster's desk. Crafted in the late 19th Century of solid mahogany, mahogany veneers and pine secondaries. The slanted top provides a fine writing surface, covered in a warm-khaki tone tooled leather; lifting over original brass hinges, the interior retains what is probably an original blue paper liner and reveals a large storage space. Every aspect of the top is crafted with dovetails, from the tiny inkwells to the joinery of the entire slant front portion of the desk. Two small hand dovetailed drawers retain their original stamped brass hardware, framed in ebonized stringer inlays and retaining the same light blue papered liner. The desk ... morerests over boldly reeded and ebonized legs that terminate simply in stumped toes. Simply gorgeous for anyone decorating their home and looking for a great form in the hallway or entry way. A highly unique side table for a living room or a small writing desk to actually use for work and storage, this is a wonderful selection. With a warm patina and mellowing of the mahogany surfaces, remaining in quite wonderful condition throughout, this is a piece you will cherish for a lifetime. It is possible the piece was originally crafted mostly during the early 19th Century and was re-fashioned slightly or at least restored during the late 19th Century- there is some curious work with the dowel restorations around the drawer blades. The lack of matching between the screw wells in the frame to the underside of the slant front desk(though we have not attempted to remove the slant front to truly examine this) As such, it should be assumed as a late 19th Century work of simply gorgeous form, but should not be collected as pure or without alteration. Beautiful Antique Mahogany English Inlaid Desk
You are bidding on a beautiful Antique Mahogany English Inlaid Desk. Unsure exactly how old this desk is but I have been told that it is possibly from the mid to late 1800's. There is such great detail all around this desk. On the top part of the desk there are two doors which slide open and closed. Which resembles an accordian. When the doors are open there are small pull out drawers and compartments to put pins, tacks, ink, letters, ect. The desk also has two pull out drawers on the bottom front of the desk. On the pull out drawers there are two handles for each drawer and each handle has a"hand painted porcelain piece" There are two areas that may need very little tlc. There are 2 seperate key holds which one used to lock the top two doors and the other locks the bottom pull out drawers. The lip of the desk extends so that ... moreone is able to write letters. When the lip of the desk is extended you can see the key hole just below where the two compartment doors meet. This locks the top. The lower part of the desk has two drawers each with it's own key hole for locking. As I mentioned. There are two area that may need a bit of tlc. The first area is in the front of the desk there are 2 doors, which easily slides open and closed. On both ends of the doors they are missing the edge of the door, which had a small latch in the middle. When the lip of the desk extends and both doors are closed they were able to be locked by the key hole which is located just underneath the lip of the desk. The second area that needs tlc is that one of the bottom drawers needs to have a ringlet placed back on. There would be no need to purchase the ringlet due to it being inside the desk. The ringlet came off during a move. I picked up this item at an estate sale in San Franscisco. California and it is a gorgeous piece of furniture.
