Large Antique MODEL Scale Child's WIRE Framed School DESK and CHAIR
This auction is for a very unique and fascinating model scale display piece of an antique child's school desk and seat. It comes designed in black metal wire framed body where the desk and the chair are attached together. The desk and the chair are constructed from wood. It appears to be of pine. The total measurement of the display is approximately 10 3/4" tall x 15" long x 8 1/2" wide. The slanted desk measures about 8 1/4" x 83/4" w. The display is quite sturdy. I am not sure how old this piece is but it is in good condition with few flaws and dings. The desk has some marks on the top and on the side and the chair has even less with only a couple one the top and a small scuff on the side. Antique 9" Cast Iron Pedestal Table Base w/ Original Wood School Desk Chair

This is the smallest chair we have ever come across. And the cast iron pedestal base is perfectly level and flat- no tilt at all. I have taken pictures with the seat still attached with the 4 screws to the pedestal base and I also took pictures after we removed the wooden seat. We are going to ship the chair with the seat NOT ATTACHED. We are including the original mounting screws so attaching the base to the seat again will be easy– only a flat tip ... morescrewdriver needed. The chair stands 21 ½” tall when the seat is attached. The wooden chair by itself is 13 ¼” tall at the back and the seat is 10 ½” x 11” x 1 ¼” The wood is in very good condition with minor signs of wear and scuff marks and scratches on the top surfaces. The bottom of the seat has a few cracks in the wood and a very old small chunk of wood that came out– all if which has occurred over the years– please look at the pictures to get a better idea of these minor flaws. The cast iron pedestal base(by itself) weighs 5lbs. Stands 9” tall, measures 7 3/8” across the round bottom, 8 ¼” across the top, and the center post is about 2 ¼” wide. Both the top and bottom surfaces have 4 holes for mounting screws. The pedestal base has the original black paint, most of which still in place. There is one minor flaw on this piece– a small hole in the cast iron that measures ¼” x 3/8” this hold occurred during the manufacturing process and in no way at effects the structural integrity or strength of the base. Next item is this beautiful child's antique Oak flip-top school desk with Ink Well and Pencil or Pen station in original condition with aged wear. Minor and heavier scratches, nicks, dings, minor chips to the finish and the wood and areas of ink stains and minor paint residue. One of the rubber pads of the flip-top is missing and there are areas of minor surface corrosion to the metal hardware. The desk measures 25-1/2"H x 24"W x 16" front to back and assembled from 3/4" thick pieces of White Oak. From the floor to the bottom of the desk measures 19-3/4" to accommodate a chair no taller than that. This desk is solid. No wobble, wiggle or shake. It was very well made, strong and durable. There are no makers marks. That I can find, anywhere on the desk. The larger glass inkwell seen in the photos is included. This desk was painted more than 40 years ago. Not a faux paint job. The colors are ivory(creamy) and the stencil work is in a brown and white. The age showing is natural not intentionally painted. Measuring 25 1/2 inches tall, 21 1/4 inches wide, 26 inches deep from the back to front with the seat down. The seat is 14 inches from the floor. All measurements are including the wooden planks attached to the iron legs. The seat folds up to save a little space. Please ask any questions prior to purchase. Charming antique adorable all oak seat and back antique school bench from the 1880s. Legs are iron and it's very heavy; seat folds up for storage. Fully functional and ready to go. Has gorgeous iron work. It was painted green and I stripped it down to the oak and iron; paint protected the oak and it's lovely with no carved names or graffiti. Pickup in Reno. Nevada. This is a rare one because it's the bench that sat at the END of the row of desks. These school desks can be awkward with the desk behind the bench. This was only ever a bench.

Up for sale are a pair of Heywood Eclipse wooden school desk chairs with adjustable metal bases. On the base is the Manufacturer name and the#3. I believe these date to 1890 time frame. They have been in my family since I was a child and at one time we had the desks to them that we used at home as kids. One chair is in better shape than the other but both are very solid with no major issues. One of the chairs does have some separation in the glue joints although nothing is loose. Antique Oak Student School Desk, nice for display or use, fits most adults
Oak antique student desk(but accommodates most adults up to perhaps 175 lbs. and 5' 10" with 4 rungs below for books. Etc. and ample writing surface. Remaining in whole and good condition with a few issues as described. LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY in zip 22802, Harrisonburg, Virginia. A relatively well-preserved all nearly-all-oak desk. Measuring as follows: 27 1/2" high at the writing surface 33: high at the chair back 17 1/2" high at the seat 18 1/2" x 17" seat 4 rungs below double-back braces(rather thick and substantial) I'm not sure of the wood type of the writing surface. But strikes me as original, with original hardware underneath. One final word on the crack in the seat. It does not bother the butt when sitting at all. And the photos of it may exaggerate it. For display and comfort purposes, I've use a ... morered cushion with it the last few years. It's really been a display piece in my living room, so a guest or two have sat in it maybe 3-4 times just to try it out. Kids also like it. The"45" painted on the back could be removed if you'd like. Antique Chautauqua Combination Writing Desk& Drawing Board last patent date in 1898 made in Chicago has some tears on the sides and the last few panels had been glued and pulled apart with some missing and torn edges there(see pictures) This was a teaching item for drawing.
