The details of which are as follows: Rinck manufactures its furniture in a historical workshop located in Paris since ... more1871. Meubles RINCK" is an entity specializing in high end furniture inside the RINCK group. The desk is 52" wide x 27" deep x 30 1/2" high. The underside is stamped with the maker's mark by M. Rinck and the seal of"UNION NATle INDUSTRIE FRANCAISES DE L'AMEUBLEMENT" The 3 drawers all lock with a deadbolt and each have their own key. The two outside drawers measure 10 1/2" wide X 20" deep X 3" high with the middle drawer measuring 15 1/2" wide X 21" deep X 3" high. This desk was my father's pride and joy. My earliest memories of it date back to the 1970s when we lived in NYC and it was in his private study. It is in excellent condition with signs of use on the burgundy leather working area on top which also has a couple of stains. A competent furniture restorer can easily replace this leather piece but I would order a replacement directly from Rinck to preserve the desk's heritage. The following information was supplied by Rinck in reply to my recent email inquiry regarding the desk's provenance: Dear Sir, I can confirm that desk is coming from our company and Parisian work shop. I can not be more precise about the year. Because all client's files are archived, but: It is a Louis XV style desk, traditionally manufactured with a solid oak structure, with mortaises and tenons joined, hand dovetail joins for the drawers, black lacquered finishing, ornate with sand casted, chiseled, and ormolu set of bronze. The round UNIFA stamp on the underside of the desk is there to assure the desk has respectability and was constructed to the standards of the Professional Union. The UNIFA stamp also confirms your desk is from the period between 1960 and 1980. Because after it would have been stamped"Groupement ébénisterie d'art" As Rinck at this period was only working on

For auction is one freshly restored vintage oak library table. It has a solid oak frame and legs and an oak veneer top. The two drawers have solid oak handles. It has been stripped. Sanded, stained, and refinished in a natural Danish oil. I usually prefer to keep the original finish when possible, but this table was truly in dire need of refinishing. There are still a few flaws present, but they simply add character. There are some thin, dark scratches on the top still, as well as areas along the edge and corners where the veneer has worn through. There is also about an inch long depression on the back edge where there is still the remnants of a small burn mark(pictured) DIMENSIONS: 59.5" long. 31.5" deep and 30.5" tall. We are pleased to offer this antique desk. This is a beautiful old desk dating to the early half of the 20th century. The desk is made of solid oak in the Mission. Arts& Crafts style. It is"Stickley" styled with a clean, simple design. The desk top is compromised of 2 planks which provide a generous work space. It has a single center drawer for pens, pencils, etc. Each side features two, open shelves for paper/file storage. The legs are simple and slightly supercede the height of the table top. The desk has wooden buttons which cover the screws/nails. It is in very good antique condition. There is a very slight bow on the top which is neither severe or distracting. There are some minor nicks and dings from use, but again, nothing too obvious or distracting. Antique Oak "S" Roll Top Desk with Raised Panels - VINTAGE
This is an Antique Oak"S" Roll Top Desk with raised panels that has been beautifully restored. This desk is from my Grandparents home as I can not ever remember not seeing it there and I am almost 50 years old. I do not have a maker on this desk but have to believe that it is from the early 1900's. I would love to display this in my home. But my home will not accommodate it. It is 54 inches long. 3 feet wide and 4 foot tall. It is Oak and it has 4 drawers on the left hand side and 3 drawers on the right hand side. There is a brass plate in which to lock the desk. But I do not have a key for it. The colors and details are beautiful. With it being so old. There are some imperfections as you can see. On the left hand pull out there are little holes in the wood. Not sure if they were put there by someone or if something happened ... moreto the wood. On the back there is a knick of wood missing as you can see in the picture. Two of the drawers bottoms have been replaced and two of the drawers have what looks like as stains, but it does not get on anything. Great Looking Smaller Size- Strong and Sturdy- Very Well Constructed. The seat measures approx 16.5" x 16.5" and when in its lowest position. It stands approx 20-1/4 from the ground to the seats top. The casters are newer, not the old originals. When I package- I will remove the backrest post section to help make it easier to fit in the box. There is a small cast iron section that attaches on to the lower part where the bottom of the post fits onto the base section. this is shown in pic 10 where its attached. I will put this small cast piece in a small box inside the larger box. It will take me a few days to package the chair and a few more to get it to FedEx for shipment. I live in the sticks and the nearest FedEx is 20 miles.
