For your consideration is this industrial/steam punk style desk chair. The quarter sawn oak chair has great grain pattern and wear. The 22" base has been outfitted with oversized 3" casters. Overall the chair measures 22" wide x 22" deep x 37" tall. The seat will adjust from 18 3/4" 24" tall. The piece has scratches. Chips, rust and tarnish which all add to the character. The old varnish does have some scratches and worn through areas.but I like the look and have given it a hand rubbed wax finish. The chair is solid and operates nicely! Massive Antique Quarter-Sawn Oak Roll Top Desk Owned by Canadian Mounties
Massive antique oak roll top desk made by Horrocks— practically a ship. 71.5" wide. 35" almost 35.5" deep, with 30.5" of desk surface, and 43" high at the tallest point. This desk spent most of its life in an office of the Canadian Mounties. A traveling U.S. citizen fell in love with it and talked the Mounties into selling it to him; he moved it to Colorado, where he discovered it was too big to fit into his study/office, and so it went into storage for 40 years. It came to Santa Cruz, CA, in 1970; my father, who loves all things massive and well-made, bought it and it has been in my family's home since then. It needs a new home. A big one. With a big door. The smaller things: this desk has three deep drawers to the left of the chair space and two to the right(one is sized as a file cabinet) And a large flat drawer ... morewith a key(we have the key) It has many small drawers at the back of the desk space. There are two very cool corner drawers(on the inside of the inner arch, and they open up to a curved trough, which is perfect for pens and pencils. There is a mystery drawer with no known key. There are two pull-out writing tables. One drawer has a chip taken out of the wood, and we have the piece(as shown) One leg(to the left of the chair space) needs some refinishing. The desk is in very good general condition, and could use a good waxing. The hardware is brass. The roll top can stick but it works. And we have the key for it, too. Finally, the number"1821" is stamped on the underside of the desk. This is a splendid and dramatic desk. It is also comfortable to use. Its size makes it easier to accommodate modern office equipment than most antiques.

Antique Moulthrop Oak School Desk Early 1900's Local Pick Up Only
Antique Moulthrop school desk. Oak. Great collector's piece. Top is adjustable. And I think the height is too, I just don't know how to do it! The drawer pull says"Langslow Fowler Co. Rochester, NY" with"Moulthrop" at the bottom with another word above it that I cannot make out. The words are worn. There is a small linear crack on the top of the desk in the writing area that you can see in the photos. I cannot ship this item so it's local pick up only, due to the weight. Original piece in good condition for how old it is! Antique Solid Oak Cylinder Desk circa 1875-1890
This is a solid oak hand carved work of art that anyone would have proud to adorn their home. A cylinder desk that purportedly was once owned by the tobacconist Philip Morris. His name is stamped in the upper right hand drawer of the desk. This unit is a handcarved and handcrafted work of art and was built between 1875 and 1890. There is one lock missing from one of the drawers and it cannot be replaced with an original as we were not able to locate one. In addition. The top of the desks surface has had an insert set in as the desk once had some mechanical device mounted in the top two drawers of the main part of the desk and apparantly rose through the top and was later replaced with matching oak boards, however, this was done before the turn of the century. The two pedestals contain 9 large working drawers to the front on one side. The drawers are hand dovetailed and lined with cedar(a sign of good quality) The drawer fronts feature brass back-plate escutcheons connected to brass swan neck handles. The drawers also feature brass escutcheon keyholes. All the drawers feature a working lock and key. There are only drawers to one side of the desk. Below. This is a very pretty ladies desk owned by the seller’s family for over 40 years. It has a low applied scroll-carved crest rail over the wide hinged curved slant front and cabriole legs. A fitted interior. Long curved front drawer and two smaller curved front drawers complement the design. Height at center back 42 5/8" Width of cabinet 27 1/2" Depth of cabinet 14 1/4" Width of legs 29 1/2" Depth of legs 16 3/8" The desk has some wear from years of use. Please review photos. This desk is very well built and sturdy. There is no key and a small block is missing underneath on the right side of the cabinet(under the desk) that could easily be replaced. The right rear leg(viewed from the desk front) has a repair. The seat height is adjustable but note the screw post wobbles a bit in the hole in the rolling wood base. Seat measures 18 wide x 16 deep and the seat back measures 18 ½ tall from the seat. Antique Slant Drop Front Oak Secretary Desk - Lionhead
I am not an expert but an antique furniture appraiser looked at this piece recently and stated this is a unique desk that he's never seen one quite like it. It was likely made in the early 1900's. Made of oak. And has a spooncarved front. There are no identifying markings. It is in excellent shape and it has the original finish. Brass fittings show a bit of tarnish but should clean up easily with a little TLC. Three of the posts on the brass rail at the top are loose but can be easily secured with a little bit of attention. One of the rail ends is stripped so that will need to be secured as well. Otherwise this piece is ready for your home. I would be happy to provide more detailed photos if requested. Behind the roll, dated April 29, 1909, addressed to Gus Lilquist, City from C. W. Davis, Lumber and Coal, Gladstone, Mich. postmarked Gladstone, Mich.1909. Research indicates that Gus operated a saloon in Gladstone up until 1918. The intrigue builds! There is a bullet hole through the front of one of the drawers, and a round ball impression on the inside of the drawer where the ball stopped, like from an old muzzle loader! And a door on the other side with 3 square open cubbyholes, above 3 long open cubbyholes that are behind the door. Above each side, just under the writing surface, is a pull-out board. The cubbyhole section contains 18 open slots, 1 drawer, and 2 pencil slots. The tambour slides easily and has a key to lock it. Its dimensions are 48" wide, 30" deep, and 44" tall. It is in very good. Beautiful condition. I have included photos of the bullet hole. Antique Tiger Oak Desk This beautiful desk has been sitting in storage for 30 years. It looks really old. But I have no idea how old it is or where it came from. The number 126 is impressed into the underside of the desk, but I have found no other marks on it. There are 5 drawers on one side. And 5 false drawer fronts on the other. As you can see in the photos, 4 of the 5 drawer fronts are curved, and the drawer joints are dovetailed. There are keyholes in the drawers(no keyholes on the false fronts, see photo#1) All 5 drawer locks are present, but I do not have the key. I’m sure that the drawer pulls are not the originals, since the pulls on two of the drawers cover up the keyholes. All 4 caster wheels roll well. The wood grain is amazing. But there are several condition issues. Two of the boards that make up the desk top have separated(have ... morecome unglued) and some crazy person(not me) drove a couple of headless nails into the boards to hold them in place. The nail heads are double-circled in yellow in the last photo. When I flipped the desk over, I saw the nails coming through an inch or so. It looks like it would not be too difficult to push them out from the underside. Also, something was spilled on the top, maybe ink. The stain is circled in yellow. The four inside corners of the desk are banged up, due to being struck repeatedly by a chair. A yellow arrow points to the most seriously damaged corner. The back and sides are gorgeously paneled. Too. Needless to say. It's not factory-fresh. Sold as is. My own Dad bought it in about 1953 from a pharmacist William Votteler in Louisville. These changes are then used to predict the weather. There are three main type: Water. Mercury& Aneroid. This is an Aneroid Barometer. This type of barometer has a small, evacuated cell at its heart. As the air pressure changes, the cell expands or contracts. The overlaying mechanism, attached to a pointer, amplifies these small changes causing the pointer to move. This example was made in the UK by Shortland Brothers: a traditional and respected maker of barometers. It measures approximately 15 cm x 13 cm x 7.5 cm. This is a very fine antique American carved oak desk. It is large and very substantial with a new set in felt top framed by oak. The drawers are carved. Dovetailed and retain the original brass knobs. It has fancy carved corners and panels framed by decorative moldings all around. The doors have nicely carved raised panels and decorative moldings. Inside there are three drawers on one side and two pull out shelves on the other side. This is an exceptional antique oak desk in excellent condition with original finish and nice patina. Circa 1910. Antique Roll Top Quarter-sawn desk in oak--early 1900s and chair
This is a beautiful S-curve roll top desk in very good condition. We have owned this desk for 35 years. But the prior owner found an envelope inside the desk dated 1905. It is crafted all around so does not have to be placed against a wall. The drawers have dovetail joints-a few of the joints are loose, but drawers work fine. There are 3 locks-one on the roll-top, one on the side or end of the desk, and one on the right-hand door and we have all keys and the locks work perfectly. The top rolls up and down very smoothly. I do not know who made the desk. The oak chair did not come with it, but matches nicely. 2 of the back slats are broken but the swivel and wheels are very sturdy and work great. Chair is free. We are pleased to be offering today a gorgeous solid tiger sawn oak double pedestal raised panel lawyers flat top desk that dates from the ... more1890s to 1910s. this is a typical double raised panel desk that someone has modified and maybe it was a roll top base at one time. I am not sure. But it came out of a local estate sale. You can tell that the top has been remanufactured somewhere along the line in the pictures and the front piece between the two columns is definitely been replaced. The rest of the desk is really nice and has raised panels and a medium oak stain finish. The back is all raised panel except for the modesty panel that is all plain tiger, which would indicate that someone probably drilled holes in the original panel and this modesty panel has been replaced. It is non raised panel. The desk has four drawers going down one side that are all the same size and dove tail. On the right hand side it has three drawers with the bottom one camouflaged as a double drawer, which is really a file cabinet drawer. It originally had pull out sides for writing surfaces at the top of each drawer bank that are missing. They said that they would look for them, but they have not shown up yet. If the buyer so desires, we can make a pair and ship them to you for an additional cost of $85 for the two. A

Hello. Here's a great old project desk. OAK SECRETARY DESK! It measures: 41" Tall in the back. The desk to is approx 28" off floor, 30 3/4" Wide x 14" Deep, with 2 3/4" deep Drawers. It's very solid& quite attractive despite is custom huumm paint job. It looks like pretty OAK underneath. Just needs some elbow grease to bring it back out. It needs work but it's not all hammered up, doesn't look like it's been abused(except for paint) I have no keys to it, unknown if locks work properly. This is a oak travelers desk. It is in good condition for the age. Measuresments are 13" x 9" x 4 3/4" It does has some paint loss to the lid. A black scuff mark on one of the sides and a scratch arcoss the lid(not cracked) and a few darkened shots to the wood(see photo) I'm not sure if the key is the right one or if the lock assembly is broke because it does not seem to want to lock but the lid does close all the way with the lock assembly not working.
