Vtg Hand Carved German Cuckoo Clock/Parts or Repair/Nesting Bird/Black Forest ?
Vintage hand carved Cuckoo Clock made in Germany. Once beautiful German Cuckoo Clock took a tumble and is now a question mark as to its working condition. Some of the wood pieces broke off and were thrown away. And some of the metal pieces were tossed too. What is seen in the photographs is what you are bidding on. Clock still has its original"Hand-Carved" label attached and you can read"Made in Germany" on the dial face. It may be a Black Forest clock. And if not it is certainly in the style of Black Forest clocks. As I was working with this clock taking these pictures I lightly pushed the Cuckoo bird on the left side down. And as he popped back up again he made a little"peep. Got a little sentimental after hearing that(this is Mrs. Marbleman) so I made him sing a little more before finishing taking these photos. ... moreLove the little bird sitting on her nest and the bird at the top of the clock just taking flight. I do not know what to say concerning this clock other than it is broken. All the parts are not there and it does not work. Hopefully someone can use it for parts or restore this clock. Up for auction is this beautifully maintained antique brass and glass regulator clock made by the Ansonia Clock Company of New York. U.S.A. The clock is in very good condition after over a century with no damage whatsoever. The movement is an open escapement that has been running reliably for the past 24 hours. The clock with it's four(4) beveled glass sides and two(2) hinged doors measures 6 1/2" wide by 5 1/2" deep by 11" high and weighs 9 lbs. before packaging. The clock's open escapement movement is inside the 4" porcelain dial that has no chips, cracks, or hairlines which is rare after all these years. The clock chimes on the hour. No key included. Thank you for viewing this auction for a unique clock with nice ornate and bird carvings. I listed as Urgos as that is what the paper say's but I am unsure and there are no markings on the clock mechanism to verify. I took lots of photos as I am selling as found. The wind up key I went and purchased after getting the clock and to My surprise it wound and ran and the rang out at 1/2 and on the hour. I personally think the ringing out needs some adjusting as I think it should ring out 10 at 10 5 at 5 this one seems to have its own mind! The clock part seems fine lost then gained some minutes after adjusting the pendulum. The carved work has some cracks nothing to dramatic. The wood could use a good cleaning. Has some cracks were it was glued. The back paper I am unsure if it is original to the clock it is as shown in the photo. 9 3/8 inches ... morehigh 10 1/4 wide and 5 inch deep Measurement are taking at the base feet. SELLING AS FOUND. French Boulle Clock circa 1860 21 inches tall by 15.5 inches wide and 6 inches in depth. It is typical of the Boulle style that has inlaid with brass and tortoise shell as veneers. as found condition” and has 95% of the inlay intact. The ormolu adornments are fire-gilded brass and are all original. The dial is repousse brass that has individual porcelain fired cartouches. The has been hand fashioned. This Magnificent and very Large Old German Black Forest"8-Day" Hand Carved"Hunter" theme Cuckoo clock was found at a recent private estate sale along with several other old Cuckoo clocks. Please view the pictures below) This Black Forest Cuckoo clock was totally beautifully deep carved in a dimensional look showing"life like" details in all the animals. The clock is very impressive in size with measurements of 26" from top of Stag's antlers to bottom of the pendulum and 14" wide at the widest point.Really grand) There are many wonderful carvings and other items that catch your eye. So I will start at the top mentioning the large carved Stag's head displayed on a unique shaped plaque at the very top peak of the clock. The Stag has very large antlers and accented on both sides with hand carved ... moreElm leaves and tree branches. He even has Glass inlaid eyes. The center of the clock is completely framed with more of the Elm leaves and branches with a Hunter's pouch and hanging Rifle at the bottom. On both sides of the center piece are displayed the Hunter's catch of the day. A carved Pheasant bird on the left and a Rabbit on the right. They also have glass inlaid eyes. The wooden face is easy to read with Roman numerals done in White and marked"Germany" at the bottom and framed with a circular Hunter's horn also caved from wood. The hands are also decorative in design. The movement is of the finest German quality made by the Cuckoo clock mfg co. Regula and marked the same. It was created from solid Brass and powered by two large pine cone shaped metal weights that hang on Brass chains beneath the clock. The movement is regulated by a Unique hand carved leaf pendulum(See picture) that swings back and forth beneath clock. At the very peak of the front is a little hinged wooden door. 1890's~SETH THOMAS~ANTIQUE GINGERBREAD OAK MANTLE CLOCK w/CHIMES, KEY & PENDULUM
This auction is for an antique Gingerbread style oak mantel clock. I believe from the 1890's, marked on the face: SETH THOMAS- MANUFACTURED IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA- marked on the interior label: MANUFACTURED BY THE SETH THOMAS CLOCK CO. THOMASTON, CONN. Please see pictures for the label on the back. This classic old clock is still in very good condition overall in my opinion. The clock spring will wind up fine and it will run for 3 to 4 hours before stopping and then a little nudge on the pendulum will start it back up. The chimes will sound when the arms are manually moved around but they do not chime when the clock is running on its own. The chime spring is wound tight and seems stuck. I am fairly certain this clock only needs a little Clean, Lube and Adjustment for full function. There is a little splinter missing on the oak ... moreveneer on the lower right wing and otherwise the clock cabinet is also in very good condition. The label on the back is a little chipped in the middle area and some little pieces seem glued back on. This rare old clock measures 22 1/2" tall, 15" wide and it weighs approx. 6 lbs. 14 oz. with the key and pendulum. No rules. Simply pay and I mail promptly. Superior French Black Forest wall clock---carved dog ---14843
I have had other fine clocks from the Black Forest region of Germany over the years but this is certainly one of the best. A time and strike wall clock with fine carving of game. Foliage, and of course, the dog on the top. Most clocks of this type were German but this is a French clock. Very high quality brass movement with a'repeater' movement which allows it to strike on the hour but then again just a minute later-repeating the time strike. The piece also strikes on the quarter hours with a'bim bam' style. Movement is completely original and we even have the original oversized key for winding. Of special note is the quality of the carvings, exceptional would not be an overstatement. In excellent condition with a smooth and even finish. This is a 10" high mantle clock. It is in very good condition.the face is discolored from aging. Its been in a cabinet for ages. I pulled it out slid over the little lever and it has been keeping time for several hours. It may need a tune up or whatever they do to clocks.but the fact that its working. Is great. Antique weight driven Ogee mahogany mantle/shelf clock. Made by Chauncey Jerome, dates to the 1830s, has signed brass movement and is being sold in"as is" condition for restoration or parts. Clock measures 25 3/4" tall x 15 3/8" wide x 4 3/8" deep. Original painted glass has been replaced with mirror many years ago, glass over face is cracked, clock face is worn, faded, case has some small veneer chips at corners and one other spot. Included are weights and other parts that were found in a bag inside the clock(see last photo) On back side of mirror is cardboard which has the following written on it"1868 April the 7 The grate snow com? 9 inches. Antique NEW HAVEN MANTLE CLOCK Vintage Wood Case Shelf Tambour 1920's Art Deco
New Haven Mantle Clock This is a gorgeous old New Haven clock with a lovely shape. The latest patent date on the clock mechanisms is 8-14-23. This clock has a rich. Dark finished wood case. I believe the clock face is metal. There are three positions on the clock face for winding as well as the chime. The face is marked Chime Silent in addition to the New Haven mark on the lower part of the face. There is a key included, it is from Germany. A pendulum is also included. I consider the clock body and face to be in quite nice condition. The only alteration that I see is that it looks like someone may have used a very small nail to hold the hands on the clock. I have tested this. The clock keeps time and chimes. The chimes have a nice sound to them, it's not too gongy and loud. There are some very minor scratches on the case and the front ... morehas a mark where it looks like someone may have left a piece of tape on it for awhile. The glass door on the front opens and closes well in addition to the door on the back. This measures approximately 20.5" long. 9.5" tall and 5.75" deep. The pendulum and the key will be individually wrapped. I will place some bubble wrap against the face of the clock inside the door. This will be double boxed to avoid trauma during transit. Antique Miniature French Ladies Pearl Travel Clock in Fitted Case NR
Early Swiss miniature mother of pearl ladies travel clock in it's original fitted case. It dates to the early 20th.century, it has a circular case with an arched cresting, it has a foliate engraved backplate, it stands about 2 1/2in. high on ball feet on a bow sided base, it has a radial turned silvered dial with a heart shaped cut out for visible pendulum, it has Arabic chapters and is inscribed, Fleurs de lys Paris, the underside is stamped Lenox W.Co, it's in it's original leather case and does work well, it also has the original key to set the hands with, it is in perfect condition the case does show some wear from carrying over the years, if you collect miniature clocks or watches this is a nice one.

1700 Antique Gold French Mantle Clock Gold leaf Pre-1800 Possibly Henri Jacot
This clock was made in France during the 1700's possibly by Henri Jacot. Face has Paris in black script and L. Lombard at the top. It runs with a key turn at the bottom. Cherub at top was originally holding an arrow. It is in great shape except for two small chips in clock face porcelain. I had the gold professionally cleaned. But it needs to be done again. We bought it in Haiti in the 90's and had it put back together, it was in pieces. All pieces are original.

LARGE FRENCH ABALONE CARTEL WALL CLOCK
A highly collectible French cartel clock with a spectacular frame inlaid with beautiful shimmering abalone. Which my photo's do not do justice to. I am fairly sure the works are not original. The clock measures 24 inches high x 16 inches wide. The clock strikes on the hour and 1/2 hour but recently keeps time for about 5 minutes and then stops so it does need some attention. At 62cm High and 38cm Wide this is an impressive clock. Made in a gothic style the casework is wonderful. The 8 day single fusse and spring movement has been completely overhauled by Furtwangen trained Master Clock Maker Peter Schanz. From Toowoomba in Queensland, approx 2 years ago. This is not a clock that has been"oiled up" and is just"running" it has been done by a proper clock maker with 30 years in the trade. The clock is in good working order. The cuckoo will come out to cry the hours. With a strike of the gong, and a single cry for the half hour. It comes with it's original winding key. An interesting little fact. ... moreif this clock has been kept wound. The cuckoo would call 180 times a day, 1260 times a week, 65,700 times a year, which would make it about 9,200,000 times, since it was made. A testament to the skill of the maker.
