This is a rare pearlware cup plate in excellent condition. A beautiful wash of pink lustre over the blue & white transfer border of daisy-like blooms ... moreadds an elegance to this small pottery cup plate. The blue transfer that is encircled by the border illustrates a water fall with a gentleman and a cow in the foreground. A ruin with an arcade and tower is in the middle-ground. A country church pin-points a small village in the distance. This print is not attributed to any particular Staffordshire pottery, as far as I know. This cup plate was made in England at the end of the Georgian era, about 1825. The condition is near perfect. There are only some minor rubs in lustre.3.7” Diameter.3” Deep

They each have crazing and enamel loss as pictured
Antique 18th Century Staffordshire Shell-edged Pearlware Plate w/ Green Rim
Antique 18th-early 19th Century English Staffordshire Shell Edged Pearlware Plate This is a nice old Staffordshire Shell Edged Pearlware dinner plate with an incised green rim. It is an antique piece dating from the late 18th to early 19th centuries. Made at the latter part of the cream ware craze. Potters always chased the idea of a whiter ware, and this harder white past body was glazed with a glaze that had a slight blue tint to it(which you can see puddled around the rim of the base etc) It rapidly became the most popular ware of its' day, and this colored shell-edged style was broadly in use. This plate is 9" in diameter. It definitely has what folks call"condition issues" There is a crack running along across the face of the plate, almost edge to edge(the plate is still intact, though, and the crack doesn't actually ... moredetract from it when it is in a display setting) There is a small firing flaw on the face, too, along with use wear scratches where the rim is joined to the body. There are a few chips on the underside of the rim, the largest of which is about 1/4" in diameter- none of these show on the front of the plate when it is displayed. The crack is visible on the back, and there is the characteristic pooling of blue so characteristic of this ware. The back carries a potter's mark that looks like a small eagle, with the embossed name, Adams Warranted, Staffordshire" surrounding it. In the picture of the potter's mark I've darkened it somewhat to try to bring out the lettering and eagle- it actually is the same blue/white color as the face. OK- so she is no longer a beauty queen, but this nice old plate is close to 200 years old. I displayed her for a long time in my china cabinet and the flaws never seemed very noticeable to me. A great addition to a"type collection" of early English Pottery. Please note: Paypal is required for payment. And payment should be completed promptly following close of bidding. I wrap and pack carefully and ship USPS parcel

LOVELY STAFFORDSHIRE PEARLWARE TEAPOT,( WOOD(?)
DESCRIPTION THIS IS A WONDERFUL TEAPOT THAT I'VE HAD FOR ABOUT 25 YEARS. BY THE RESEARCH THAT I HAVE DONE. I HAVE FOUND THAT THIS PATTERN AND DESIGN ARE MOST LIKELY BY ENOCH WOOD,OR ENOCH WOOD AND SONS, AND THAT THEY ARE PIECES DATING TO THE EARLY TO MID 1800'S. THIS PIECE IS NOT SIGNED, BUT DOES HAVE A STYLIZED"3" ON THE BOTTOM. KINDLY TAKE NOTE OF THE BEAUTIFUL RAISED MOTIF AND LOVELY FLORAL FINIAL. THIS TEAPOT HAS A BEAUTIFUL STYLE AND SHAPE. I FIND THE PAINT TO BE FULLY INTACT OTHER THAN SOME VERY SLIGHT MANUFACTURER'S FLAWS. I HAVE EXAMINED IT THOROUGHLY. AND FIND NO REPAIRS. THE TEAPOT MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 6 INCHES TALL, INCLUDING THE FINIAL, AND ABOUT 10" LONG, SO IT'S A VERY NICE SIZE. AS WITH ANYTHING OF THIS AGE. THERE IS OVER-ALL CRAZING. THE PICTURES SHOW A SLIGHTLY ROUGH EDGE TO THE RIGHT SIDE ... moreOF THE SPOUT, AND 2 SMALL CHIPS TO THE FRONT AND LEFT OF THE SPOUT. VISIBLE ALSO IS A CRACK TO THE RIGHT SIDE, THAT RUNS FROM THE COLLAR TO THE MIDDLE OF THE DECOR AROUND THE BODY. THERE IS ALSO A HAIRLINE ON THE RIGHT BACK SECTION, RUNNING TOWARDS THE HANDLE, AND ALSO IN THE DECORATED PORTION. OTHER THAN THOSE, THE HANDLE, RIM AND COLLAR AMAZINGLY HAVE NO CHIPS, AND ANY OTHER FLAWS ARE IN THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS.SPEAKING OF WHICH, IF YOU ZOOM ON THE PHOTOS AND LOOK TOWARDS THE BASE, THERE ARE SEVERAL SPSOTS WHERE GLAZE DIDN'T COVER DURING THE MAKING. THE LID IS ABOUT AS PERFECT AS CAN BE. THERE ARE 3 TINY TINY SPOTS ON THE INSIDE RIM THAT ARE BARELY WORTHY OF EVEN BEING CALLED"FLEA BITES" THIS SIMPLY LOVELY PIECE DISPLAYS BEAUTIFULLY. TERMS OF SALE I ONLY ACCEPT PAYPAL. SOME BUYERS HAVE ASKED FOR OTHER METHODS. I'M SORRY.I'M NOT A DEALER OR A SPECIALIST IN ANYTHING. I AM MOSTLY JUST SELLING ITEMS FROM MY OWN COLLECTION. AS I AM GETTING OLDER AND DOWN-SIZING. ALTHOUGH I WILL GLADLY ALLOW IN PERSON PICK UP OF ITEMS FOR LOCAL BUYERS, PLEASE DON'T ASK FOR PAYMENT METHODS OTHER THAN PAYPAL. PAYMENT IS EXPECTED WITHIN 2 DAYS PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BID
RARE C.1790-1805 PRATT WARE PEARLWARE PITCHER WITH HEART AND CHILDREN
JUST OUT OF AN OLD ESTATE I FOUND THIS GREAT EARLY VERY DETAILED PRATT WARE PEARLWARE PITCHER. IT HAS A HEART ON BOTH SIDES WITH CHILDREN. TINY DIE STAMP MARKS IDENTIFY EACH SCENE. ONE SAYS SPORTIVE INNOCENCE AND THE OTHER MISCHIEVOUS SPORT. THERE IS A LIGHT CAST OF BLUE GLAZE ON THIS CLEARLY TYPICAL OF PEARLWARE. THERE ARE NO REPAIRS BUT IT DOES HAVE 2 REALLY OLD HAIRLINES IN THE BODY ON EACH SIDE OF HANDLE BUT NO DAMAGE TO THE HANDLE. NO DAMAGE TO LIP EITHER THOUGH THERE IS A SLIGHT GLAZE WEAR ON SIDE OF LIP. I HAVE SEEN A COUPLE OF THESE PITCHERS AND THIS HAS THE MOST SHARPEST DETAIL ESPECIALLY WITH THOSE TITLES OF SCENES VISABLE. THIS WAS NEVER HARD SCRUBBED AND THE SURFACE HAS SURVIVED IN EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION. VERY DETAILED PATTERN AT TOP AND THOSE LEAVES AT BASE ALSO HAVE SHARP DETAIL. ALSO THERE ARE STYLIZED LEAVES GOING DOWN THE ... moreHANDLE. THIS WAS PROBABLY DONE EARLY AROUND 1790 DUE TO THAT SHARP DETAIL. IT MEASURES 5 1/8 INCHES HIGH BY 5 3/8 WIDE FROM LIP TO HANDLE. MY PICTURES MAY SHOW A BIT OF PINK HUE TO THEM BUT IT IS NOT ON THE PITCHER. SHIPPING TO THE UK IS 20.00 BUYER TO PAY WITHIN 3 DAYS THANKS.

Early Pearlware Staffordshire Child's Mug ~ MARTHA 1830
Early Pearlware Staffordshire Child's Mug ~ MARTHA 1830 Description& Details EARLY CHILDS TRANSFERWARE MUG NAMED MUG ~ MARTHA Staffordshire England ~ c. 1830 This is whimsical little child's transferware mug. Circa 1830. This diminutive piece stands 2 3/4" tall x 2 3/4" wide with an applied acanthus type loop handle. The mug is light weight and beautifully potted with a pearlware glaze. The small mug has a wonderful engine turned base. The mug is transfer printed in black with a spectacular scrolling with whisps of fern or seaweed and flowers surrounding the name. The name" MARTHA" in a lovely type is placed at the front of the mug. The mug is rare as the name Martha was very uncommon and near impossible to find on early children's ware. The piece is unmarked. It most certainly was made in the Staffordshire ... moredistrict. Mugs like this were made as gifts for good children and rewards of merit. Used to aid in children's education and moral training, and to encourage their imaginations in the early to mid-19th century. The images were taken from copperplate engravings used in children's books of the same period. The condition of this exceptional mug is EXCELLENT. Clean and bright with no wear. Normal stilt marks. Nicely potted and the transfers were applied with a good deal of attention to detail. It is amazing that this little piece was made for a child so long ago! Children's early mugs of this quality is quite scarce and highly sought after. The images are delightful. A throwback to a much simpler time. The cup will make a great addition to your collection of children's dishes. We have other mugs of this quality. Please inquire. Please email me if you need further information. Antique Porcelain PearlWare Rose Border pedestal round plate circa 1800's roses
For your consideration is an antique round pedestal plate. Marked Pearl Ware. Pearlware started being produced in 1779 and continued until around 1840. By 1820 Pearlware was in decline. I am not sure how old these dishes are. But are at least 150 years old. Pearlware was started by Staffordshire and Wedgwood later improved. I believe these are Wedgwood as they do not have the cream tint in them. They have scalloped edges and are just beautiful. Pattern is Rose Border. Signed and the number 3573 is on the bottom. The round dish measures 9 1/2" in diameter and rises about 3" All the dishes are concave, not flat plates. I have two of these, however one of the round dishes has a chip on the bottom of the handle and was cracked and glued. The top does not show the repair unless you really look for it, the bottom shows the glue mark. ... moreIf you are interest in the second one, let me know and we can decide on a price and I will change this listing to include both pieces. Beautiful white background with a pink outside and gold trim and hand painted primrose flowers on the top and bottom. Josiah Wedgwood in a response to a comment by Lady Dartmouth that she and her friends were tired of the creamware, so the boy worked on developing a formula which used traces of cobalt to achieve a white color. It also provided a good base for bright colors. Each piece was hand painted and fired at very high temperatures. What a wonderful addition for any collector. Great for any entertainer to make a statement. These are very rare to find and becoming a real collectors item. Insurance is added to the shipping total. Antique Pearlware plate, brown & white transferware, Chinese scene, pre 1890
Antique pearlware plate with brown and white transfer of a Chinese scene. This 7 1/2" diameter plate is in perfect condition with no chips. Cracks, crazing or discoloration. If you look closely at the design around the rim you will notice that it is not symmetrical. The number of flowers between the leaves and the length of vine varies with each placement of the transfer. The facial expressions of the people in the scene are quite interesting. There is no mark on this plate but it is possibly Creil of France. The lack of identification dates this piece to before 1890 and it is likely early 1800's. Pearlware Pink Lustre Dish and 2 Saucers Soft Paste
Antique Pearlware Pink Lustre Dish and 2 Saucers Soft Paste c. 1805-1830 F or auction three pieces of Pearlwear: A dish and two saucers. The saucers do not have cup rings so. Or course, can be used as sauce dishes. All three are hand decorated in a lovely floral pattern surrounding clusters of fruit. Colors include pink lustre, yellow, blue, green and dots of cobalt blue in little clusters that resemble grapes. The saucers are marked with a pattern number 928 and a circle with a dot inside. But no manufacturer name. The bowl is unmarked but decorated with the same pattern as the saucers. D uring some recent research I discovered information about luster decoration and believe these to be from that early 19th century. See Geoffrey Godden's"Guide to English Porcelain" 1978. 1992) page 164 plate 172. Godden writes"Luster effects ... moreon British porcelains mainly falls into the period 1805-1830 but unfortunately very few specimins were marked. M easurements: Bowl is 7 1/2 inches in diameter and about 1 3/8 inch deep. Each sauce measures 5 1/2 inches across and a little over 1 inch deep C ondition: Decoration on the bowl is very bright with just minimal signs of wear. The saucers appear to have been more used as the lustre ring at the cavetto on each is quite worn as is the cluster of fruits in the center and the little blossoms on the rim. One sauce has a hairline which runs from the footring on the bottom to the rim. It has not released and is barely visible on the face. The bowl and one sauce each chime like a bell when tapped. The one with the crack chimes, but not as good as the other two. TERMS: Winning bidder pays $10.80 shipping and handling. Fine Staffordshire Pearlware ~ SINGLE ROSE ~ Gaudy Dutch Teapot & Lid c1820
Superb Staffordshire Pearlware Gaudy Dutch Teapot& Cover c1820 ~ Single Rose Blue Border ~ Fine Condition ~ About 6 1/2" to top of finial ~ about 9" from spout to handle This globular or bulbous shape teapot is larger than the usual early English teapots but not quite as large as a punch or water pot either; it is about 6" across the middle and about 5 1/2" to the top of the shoulder. The enamels and painting are in excellent bright condition and the pot itself has clean white pottery. There is only the most minimum of flaking to the enamels. Displays beautifully; the spout is chipped around the bottom half; the top half of the spout. Including the painted brown flower are intact, this would be an easy fix for a restorer. The lid which I believe is the original as it is a perfect fit and match. Is a bit greyer pottery; ... moreI mention it only for accuracy, it looks fine sitting in place. There is no restoration or any touch ups, the finial has never been off, there are not even any tiny chips on the lid. It was kept beautifully for almost 200 years but someone nicked the spout once. Still looks wonderful. below you can see the smallest firing line under the handle at top; the handle is in excellent shape and it poses no threat. Thanks for looking! Please see the other English/ Historical Staffordshire/ porcelain/ pottery/ soft paste/ pearlware/ creamware I have listed.

800x600 Rare Child's Miniature Pearlware Platter COTTAGE SCENERY Staffordshire England c.1830 This is an extremely rare historical Staffordshire miniature platter or meat plate. C. 1830. The piece is transfer printed in a rich cobalt blue with a pearlware glaze. The platter is impeccably potted and finely detailed. Depicting the view of a thatched roof cottage with cows grazing in the front yard, and people standing in the backyard, which has a distant view of a church steeple. The figural imagery is so large that it spills over the rim with no room left for a decorative border. The pattern name is unknown and the exact maker has not been identified. The pattern ... moreis illustrated and discussed on page 122 of Lorraine Punchard’s book Playtime Pottery& Porcelain from the United Kingdom& the United States. RARE C.1840 STAFFORDSHIRE PEARLWARE TOBY PITCHER
JUST OUT OF AN OLD ESTATE I FOUND THIS VERY RARE STAFFORDSHIRE PITCHER OF A TOBY. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL OF THESE OVER THE YEARS BUT THIS BY FAR IS THE BEST DETAILED ONE I HAVE EVER HAD. IT HAS AN OFF WHITE GLAZE TO THE BODY WITH A VERY LIGHT BLUE IN THE RECESSED AREAS SUGGESTING THAT THIS IS CLASSIFIED AS PEARLWARE. IT DOES HAVE SOME GLAZE FLAWS. SOME FLAKING TO THE POLYCHROME PAINT MOSTLY ON ITS JACKET BUT IT IS ALL STABLE WITH NOTHING FLAKING OFF NOW. MANY YEARS AGO SOMEONE ADDED A FLAT BLACK TYPE PAINT TO HIS HAT AS IT HAD FLAKED AND THEY JUST WANTED TO MAKE IT LOOK LESS OBVIOUS. IT HAS A VERY SLIGHT TONE DIFFERENCE. IT LOOKS TO JUST BE THE POLYCHROME AND IS NOT HIDING AND REPAIRS TO THE HAT ITSELF. THAT WAS PROBABLY DONE 100 YEARS AGO. THE REST OF THE POLYCHROME PAINTED DETAILS IS ALL ORIGINAL AND UNTOUCHED. NO CRACKS. VERY MINOR BASE EDGE ... moreRUBS AND MINOR TINY EDGE WEAR TO LIP ON THE PITCHER HE IS HOLDING. DESPITE THESE FLAWS THE DETAIL ON THIS IS QUITE STRIKING. TINY DETAILED BRUSH STROKES ON HIS EYEBROWS. VERY DETAILED TEETH AND MOUTH. DETAILED FLORAL WORK ON THE PITCHER HE IS HOLDING AND UNUSUAL FROTHINESS AT TOP OF THAT PITCHER TOO. ALSO STRIPING TO HIS SHIRT. DETAILED TIES AT LEG OF PANTS,AND A VERY UNUSUAL MOLDED AND POLYCHROME DETAILS TO THE HANDLE ITSELF. THEY GAVE HIM 5 RED DOT SPLOTHES ON HIS FACE. ALSO A VERY UNUSUAL GREEN JACKET. ALL THE POLYCHROME ON HIM IS MUCH BETTER DETAILED THAN YOU FIND ON THESE PITCHERS. UNDER THE BASE IT LOOKS TO BE SIGNED WITH 3 LETTERS THAT ARE RAISED BUT VERY HARD TO MAKE OUT. ONE APPEARS TO BE A J. THERE LOOKS TO BE ANOTHER TINY IMPRESSED MARK ON A CORNER UNDER BASE THAT IS COVERED WITH GLAZE AND UNCLEAR. INTERIOR SHOWS LOTS OF HANDWORK CLEANING BY THE MOLD MAKER WHEN IT WAS MADE. HE MEASURES 8 5/8 INCHES HIGH BY 4 INCHES WIDE BY 6 1/4 INCHES DEEP FROM TIP OF FRONT TOE TO THE HANDLE IN THE BACK. THIS IS AUTHENTIC ANTIQUE STAFFORDSHIRE AND NOT ONE OF THOSE NASTY REPRODUCTIONS. THIS WEIGHS ALMOST 2 1/2 POUNDS BEFORE PACKING AND WILL COST 39.00 TO SHIP TO THE UK. BUYER TO PA

Antique English Pearlware transfer decorated pottery Coffee Pot c1800
Antique English Blue and White transfer decorated Coffee Pot with gilt decoration. The spout is transfer decorated and has a molded acanthus leaf at the base; the handle is also transfer decorated as is the foot. The lid has an acorn finial and also carries the transfer decoration. The pot is accented with gilt throughout. CONDITION: Minor Chip on Lid Restored MEASUREMENTS: 11" H x 9" W from the tip of the spout to the handle A little background on Transfer Printing and Pearlware: Transfer printing was the process of decorating pottery and porcelain by transferring a print. On tissue paper, from an engraved plate to a glazed or unglazed surface so that. After firing(and where necessary glazing) The impression remains as a permanent decoration. The making of a transfer print required a great deal of skill. Its quality depending partly ... moreon the excellence of the engraved plate and partly on the dexterity of the printer. Tissue paper which bears the engraved design in reverse is applied to the surface of the ware and the back rubbed with a flannel pad to transfer the design; the paper is then gently rubbed off and the piece is ready for its first firing. Josiah Wedgwood has traditionally been given the credit for"creating" what he referred to as"pearl ware. This ware was essentially the same ceramic composition as creamware with the added component of a small quantiry of cobalt. The addition of the cobalt. Gave the pottery a bluish cast to the glaze. Pearlware was used as the base for Prattware, Spatter and Spongeware, Luster, and many transfer-printed wares. Because in some cases, the quantity of cobalt is truly slight, it can be difficult to determine whether or not the piece is pearlware. If you are ever faced with this situation, just turn the piece over and look for the blue pooling; identifiying the cobalt blue glaze over the whitish body is regarded as the single most important diagnostic feature. The earliest forms of Pearlware are dated to around 1775. AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING

A Child’s toy pearlware blue featheredge dinner plate, circa 1800
rhusrluk rhusrluk Antique pottery in good taste– harmic.little A beautiful and very collectable pearlware tiny blue featheredge dinner plate; Staffordshire or Yorkshire. Circa 1800. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE PHOTOGRAPHS This wonderful little child's/ doll-house plate is delicately molded and as light as a feather. Plates of this size. Clearly intended for children to play with, appear with increasing frequency after 1800 suggesting that children began to acquire an increasingly distinctive identity from that of adults. The main reason for this is possibly that people were beginning to live longer lives with the childhood phase occupying a larger percentage of the whole. The potteries clearly saw this as a great marketing opportunity with large numbers of these beautiful children's services being produced. Most of these have now perished. ... moreSo this is quite a rare survivor. The plate is tiny. Only 3 ½ inches in diameter. It is press molded with a lovely'feather-edge' pattern which has been washed in cobalt blue. The condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or restoration- a great addition to your collection of children's plates or toy pottery. Staffordshire Pearlware Lion and Sheep, circa 1800-1820
Staffordshire Pearlware Lion and Sheep circa 1800-1820 These are beautiful pieces with a great deal of character. They make a compelling pair. The lion has form and glaze detail superior to other instances of the same casting I have been able to find. Please look at the selling price and quality of the lion you may find elsewhere on the Web. I was not able to find other instances of the sheep. The sheep has a small chip along its base and at the back of one ear. The Lion has several chips at its base. The largest at the back of the base near its tail end and smaller chips on the ears. I have not found these signs of age to detract in any way from the beauty of these pieces. Please examine them all in the images. There is a red manufacturer's mark of II on the inner surface of the base of the sheep. Lion: 3 1/4" wide. 1 1/2" ... moredeep, 2 7/8" tall(cm: 8.25 x 3.8 x 7.3) Sheep: 3 3/8" wide. 2" deep, 3" tall(cm: 8.573 x 5 x 7.6) The y appear larger in the images below in order t o show them clearly. Please write if you have any questions. These pieces have reminded me of parts of C. S. Lewis' book. The Problem of Pain. I haven't been able to find in it the descriptions of a kind of transcendence I most associated with them when I found them, but these lines from that book also describe what this lion does in its evocation of a sense of strange and wonderful tenderness: if there is a rudimentary Leontine self. To that God also gave a"body" a body no longer living by the destruction of the lamb, yet richly Leontine in the sense that it also expresses whatever energy and splendour and exulting power dwelled within the visible lion on this earth. 130" I think the lion. When he ceased to be dangerous, will still be awful: indeed, that we shall then first see that of which the present fangs and claws are clumsy[ imitation. 131 I find these pieces to also be lovely descriptions of an understanding of body that is not distinct from soul. Something William Blake, who lived a

Early Pearlware Saucer Tea Bowl Feeding Chickens 1805 Staffordshire Ridgway
800x600 Early Pearlware Saucer or Tea Bowl FEEDING CHICKENS ~ WILD ROSE BORDER Job Ridgway Staffordshire. England c. 1805 This is a stunning pearlware transfer printed saucer or tea bowl. Originally part of a complete tea set. The saucer measures 5 1/4" in diameter. The color is a rich medium blue with a pearlware glaze. The saucer is decorated with a transfer printed image of a woman feeding chickens from a basket of corn while a kneeling child holds out his hand for some. The delicate decoration is very rich. With little white space. There is no maker's mark except for a partially readable printed numeral that may read 09. According to the Transferware Collectors Club pattern database. The pattern has been found with an impressed lower-case"Ridgway" mark, probably indicating that it was made by the Job Ridgway factory ... morein 1802-1808, although another version called'Feeding Chickens' was also made by Riley. The saucer is in very good condition. And displays beautifully. There is a small nip on the foot rim, probably an enlarged stilt mark, and a bump in the well of the bowl, original to the making and glazed over before the original firing. A wonderful deep saucer, offered as is, in a very desirable pattern, perfect for farm life rooster cock or chicken fanciers, and advanced collectors of early pearlware dishes. LOVELY Pearlware ? Transferware Teapot Bird Pigeon Dove Blue Glaze
This is a beautiful old teapot. I don't know the pattern or the maker. From an old Connecticut estate of a wealthy mill owner. I am far from an expert but I believe this is pearlware, as there is a bluish tint to the glaze which is visible in areas where the glaze has pooled. Teapot measures 9 1/4 inches wide at the widest(spout to handle) the body is 5 1/2 across. rim at top is slightly over 4 1/2 inches. Picture of bird in a tree on both sides, decorated handle and spout, everything seems to have a pattern going on, with this piece. The cover seems small to me, which makes me doubt if it is original, however the design at the rim matches and it was found on the piece when we cleaned out the estate. CONDITION: There has been a professional repair to the edge of the lid. Visible in my photo as a white streak, I would say it was from quite ... morea while ago, it doesn't seem to go through to the other side. The knob of the lid has a flat side(see photo) which seems to have happened in the making as the blue color has pooled in it and the glaze does cover it completely. The handle has had a piece glued in, unprofessionally, but this may be worth having it repaired correctly. Also there is a roughness in a couple of places on the handle and a chip in the glaze(of the handle) as well(see photo) The body of the pot has an area(about 1 inch high) that seems to have been left unglazed near the handle(visible in the handle photo) The bottom outside has a Y shaped line with another single line beside(photo) but none of these go through to the inside. The spout has chipping on the underside(photo) and a little to one side, but this piece shows remarkably well with the spout as it is. There is general crazing as you would expect with a piece this old. How old? I really don't know. 1830s? Please email and educate me if you can! The bird on one side seems to have a flattened head. Also a lump under the glaze on his chest. Both things happened in the making I'm fairly sure. Grass at the base of the tree is slightly di
