Part of the case is sterling and is marked. There is a 15 jewel Swiss movement and it seems to run well. The easel works well and the back to the movement opens and closes tightly. There is some wear and pitting to the metal. The hands still give off some illumination. There is also some discoloration to the enameling in the bottom left corner. A very nice little clock. It is coming from a very wealthy Short Hills, NJ estate where they family had been in the jewelry business in the early 1900s. Made of a spelter type metal with gold coloring. Condition: The legs are a bit splayed. But could be bent back into position. Clock does run sometimes, but I have not tried to wind it to see if it keeps time. Would probably need to be serviced. Very rare brass winding clock made by New Haven USA. I purchased this item in a box with many items in it. I'm not sure where it's primary use took place. It is heavy. Perhaps between 1 and 2 pounds. The casing is solid brass. It obviously was attached to something such as an old automobile or boat dash board. There are 3 screws on the back of the casing that hold the front and back of the casing together. I have not attempted to remove. The winding handle seems normal when used, I can move the hands and wind. But the clock does not function. There is no reserve on this item. There is no return of this item. Antique Artist Signed French Madaille D'Argent Figural Clock
I have been going to some shows and trying to find some interesting items to add to shop to try to both get sales a little jumpstart and to stock up for the fall. This is a very attractive clock and one of the many things I like about it. Is the multi tone hardware used on the base where you have the bronze and brass to go along with the marble. There is some wear to the figure but I honestly think it is the perfect amount for a 1900 clock. It strikes on the half hour as well as the proper number on the hour. I checked out the movement while picturing and it does appear to have very low wear and I saw no areas of concern before reinstalling. rather than trying to go over all the markings and numbers I tried to picture everything well. The only thing that will not be original is the pendulum, I purchased it with no pendulum and it will have ... morea proper replacement and the fast/slow will be properly adjusted. It measures about 21" tall x 13" wide x 71/2" deep. The dial is porcelain and has no hairlines and all the legs are good with no cracks from being dropped, a bit loose but I will tighten before shipping and this baby will be very carefully packed and double boxed because it is indeed not replaceable. I tried to price it for nice for good value and hopefully quick sale so I can go find more good stuff for your consideration. Thanks for your time and interest

Seth Thomas Crystal Regulator Empire Clock No. 13. Beautiful Patina, Running This Seth Thomas crystal regulator is No. 13 in their Empire Series. It has an 8 day time and strike movement that runs well and runs way beyond 8 days. And it counts the half hour and the hour on a cathedral gong. The strike side is a rack and snail type rather than a count wheel. The advantage of the rack and snail is that the time and the strike never get out of synchronization like they sometimes do with a count wheel strike. The clock is solid brass and has four beveled glass sides. The British call it a four glass regulator but it is generally known as a crystal regulator in the USA. There is a 2-1/2" stress crack in the bottom of the left glass but there are no other imperfections in the glass. The 4"porcelain dial has no chips or cracks but it is ... moremissing the brass trim piece on the strike side arbor. The clock stands 11-3/4" high. 6-3/4" wide, and 5-1/2" deep. It weighs 11 lbs 8 oz prior to packing. The clock runs correctly and we will guarantee it for 30 days. The sale includes the correct double ended winding key(big end winds the time and the strike springs and the small end adjusts the speed of the clock using the small arbor just above the 12 on the dial) and written set up instructions. The clock has the original electric plug in. The second hand is a large piece of plastic that spins with black on the outside that makes the neon look like it is moving. Antique 1850 Dutch Staartklok clock 42 inches long 12 inches wide running
This is a very unusual old Dutch clock with a fine brass movement and Heat shaped pendulum opening. There is a little turned brass headed nail on one side that you pull out and slide the bottom part of the case down to get a hold of the pendulum if you need to. That heart shaped hole has a brass flange around it that is different from any others I have seen. This wall hanging Dutch Staartklok clock Circa 1850 was found completely as you see it in original condition in a old store building having not been seen for more than 60 years. Upon purchasing. It has not been restored. A handsome redish brown sturdy handmade walnut or walnut colored oak case. With a shaped slide-down lower body, with the original carved gilded figures of Atlantis to the centre, between two trumpeting angels, which are missing their horn ends and have been repaired, ... moreto the cresting of the hood which houses the beautiful painted dial with a Dutch scene with, boats etc in the arch and brass four seasons painted spandrels on the corners of the dial. Original. Ornately cut brass hands to the centre, with Arabic and Roman numerals around the dial. Glass panels also to the sides of the hood, the door is mortised and tendoned with pegs, which also houses the 30 hour chain driven, turned posted movement with bell strike and alarm work, striking dully on a flat sounding bell that has a cast flaw of a hole in it which is what makes it sound dull. On the face of the shaped slender trunk are the weights with which to drive the clock movement and alarm. Also set with a cast brass bordered pendulum aperture, depicting a heart shape, with which to view the pendulum.
