An outstanding 1880's-1890's New Haven clock case with J& J G Low Putti tiles in green. Case is very heavy. I am not sure if the metal is brass or bronze. Has wonderful casting and a great patina. The tiles have Putti/Cherubs on the sides and front. Sides are 3 figures flying around an hour glass. The front has many cherubs flying in the clouds. Tiles are very cool! The works on this clock are Ansonia, I believe they are not original. The case was made by New Haven. Not sure if the hinged door on front is original or not, It does match color and metal wise to the rest of the case. I have owned this clock for 10 or so years, was this way when I bought it. A Rare Large Federal Style Banjo Clock by Willard. This Clock features the United States Naval Ship. The USS Constitution" doing battle with the HMS Guerriere or" Old Ironsides" in one of many sea battles from the war of 1812. This clock celebrates the that Anniversary. I can't find any marks on the clock that will allow me to age it all the features of its build and it materials suggest it is an Antique. That it the clocks case, however the movement is a West German movement and I am not sure if this movement is original. As I said the construction of the case where the movement is placed does suggest that it is original but there is no info any where I can find about this certain clock. It is decorated in a rich blue glaze. Highlighted with gold gilt and comes with the matching candlesticks. It has a Samuel Marti movement with enamel dial. It dates from the 19th Century and measures approximately 10 + ¼ inches tall by 7 + ½ inches across the mask handles by 3 + ¼ inches front to back. The candlesticks measure 6 inches tall by 3 + ¾ inches square across the base. This clock. Along with several other antique clocks which we inherited and will probably be listing as well, was inspected by an antique clock dealer. Although I appreciate the beauty and sounds of antique mechanical clocks, I am not an expert in any way. I will give you all the information I have and if you need more photos, please contact me. We were advised to have the clocks cleaned and serviced. So. This clock was recently completely"overhauled" and cleaned by a professional clock master. It runs well; the chimes don't quite correspond with the hands on the clock, but that should be a minor adjustment; the chimes work well and sound beautifully. This clock is a fabulous Beaux Arts Onyx and gilt Spelter French clock from the 1800's. It has an ornate hand painted porcelain face. All in Baroque Form. Clock works well and ... morethe pendulum is present(although I cannot seem to find the proper key-we did have the key for this clock and if I find it, it will be sent should the auction be successful; the clock master who overhauled the clock did not want the key, and I thought I put it with all the other clocks and their keys) It does not seem to have a maker's marking on it, but I was told that this was common with French clocks. There are three holes drilled in the top of the clock surface for attaching the topper. Please note that this topper is not bolted to the base. The clock topper figure is a 1800's Beaux Arts casting in gilt Spelter of a small child. Seemingly repeating school lessons from an open book on the child's lap. This might or might not have been the original clock topper; we cannot be sure, but it does go well with this clock. It is about 10 inches tall, and is in very good condition with not cracks or repairs. With a great amount of detail you will not find with most other statue makers of the era. Ansonia's chief designer for the time was Henry Davies, and as you can see, he was a master craftsman. This is the"Lord and Lady" pair and they stand a whopping 25" high with a base diameter of 9" and are extremely detailed from head to toe. Even the bases are highly detailed with lots of scroll work. You can see the"Lord" Or more commonly called a"swashbuckler or swordsman" handing the beautiful"Lady" a bouquet of flowers as she is reaching out to take them into her hand. Both statues were also offered as a fixed statue on a clock base. Which in themselves are nearly impossible to find(Ansonia called them Suitor and Countess when offered as statue clocks) You can reference them on Page 148, No. 462/463. Both of the statues are complete and outstanding with the following minor exceptions. About a half inch of the end of Lord's scabbard is broken off and missing. It is a simple round shape and would be an easy fix. The sword is to the rear of the statue so it cannot be seen in from the front.

Not one of the cheap knockoffs that pop up every now and then. I have spent the last two days hand waxing the statues with a high quality paste wax. The spelter statues have some wear to the original finish and are perfect in every other way, there are no bends, breaks or missing pieces, not even a finger missing. Door swings open, and there is a bit of wear from door, also two tiny areas of missing veneer on one corner of bottom right- see next to last photos. These are the only flaws. Antique French Figural Porcelain Clock by Leroy A Paris with Sultan
A beautiful French porcelain clock by Leroy A Paris. Clock base is done in vibrant blues with gold accents and central floral detailing. Enamel clock face is in very good condition with blue numbers and has Leroy a Paris at top. Gilded frame around face is in good cond. Porcelain figure of sitting Sultan in vivid colors sits atop the clock base. Clock is an early one(late 1800's) with original pedulum. Original key is missing and back plate has disappeared. There is no damage noted to porcelain, there is wear to the gold detailing as pictured. Chime works, clock runs but stops, likely needs a good cleaning. large Art Deco Impala clock
Awesome Art Deco marble and metal clock. Features a coppery/bronze colored Impala. Clock looks like it works. I wound it and it seems to be keeping good time. The Impala needs some screws to anchor it back onto the marble base. The impala is about 10 1/2" long and about 7" tall. The clock and base are beautiful combination of black and earthtones. Overall length is about 21 1/2" long by about 12" tall and about 4 1/2" deep. I don't see any chips or damage to the marble. The only thing that concerns me is the hinged circular face. It appears to be stuck shut. It will probably open. But I'll leave that to the winner to figure out. The finish of the Impala is worn from decades of cleaning. Phenomenal piece all things considered.

Up for auction is this turn-of-the-century time clock machine made by the Ajax Time Stamp Company of New York. NY, U.S.A. The time clock has a serial no. 12891 and appears to be in working order with the clock keeping accurate time for the past 24 hours. The inkpad tape is intact and the winder turns it effectively. The back has the clock winder and a date setting adjuster. There is no key to the machine. The compact time stamp machine only 6 3/4" wide by 6" deep by 10" high to the top of the stamp compressor knob. Weighs 9 lbs. before packaging. A nice find for the collector of antique office machines or for the buyer who wants a turn-of-the-century Ajax Time Stamp machine that can be used as a conversation piece or as a clock that runs reliably at the time of the auction.

A very nice working order antique. Circa 1840, portico mantel clock. The clock is rosewood veneered, with scrolling marquetry and string inlays. The cornice is with an original ivory color paint. The column bases and capitols, and the dial frame, are ormolu bronze. The dial is engine turned metal, possibly silver, with black enamel numerals. It is in working order: tells the time, gong chimes the hours and halves. The clockworks are unmarked, probably French. It has the original ormolu brass pendulum. No key included, will accept an American key. Clock measures 18-1/2" tall by 9-1/2" wide by 5" deep. Very good condition: original finishes. Small chip to the top edge of the cornice(see photo. The base is probably missing a molding around, and the ball or bun feet.

This auction is for the coolest clock I have ever seen. First of all. It was made by Smiths Enfield in Great Britain. It is not dated by an educated guess would be 50's or 60's. It works wonderfully. What is pretty cool is that Smiths Enfield makes some pretty expensive, but kinda stuffy clocks. By that I mean clocks that are boring to look at, made out of wood and sits on a mantel. This is a way cool model from that company. Perhaps the boss went out of town for the week and a young clockmaker decided to make something cool and get it out before the boss got back. Who knows?
