Up for auction is an antique Royal Crown Cola wood 6 bottle carrier/crate. It is all wood with metal bands around the edges holding it together. Has red graphics on all 4 sides. Built-in handle, divider in the middle. It's in very good condition considering it's age. I'm guessing it was made around the 20's. But I'm not sure about that. Doesn't appear anything is missing. Handle has a crack but doesn't affect stability at all. Some scuffs. Scrapes and general wear. Graphics are faded some but completely readable. Metal bands are on securely. One of the bottom slats has a small portion(maybe 1/8-1/4" wide and 4" long) broken off and a couple of cracks at one end. It's alittle dusty. Nice estate find-antique wooden crate in great antique condition. Seems to be a knotty pine given the appearance. Corners reinforced with metal strips that have been nailed in-original. On the short end it says"2 DOZ SMALL. On the long side it has a"B" surrounded by what looks to be a maple( leaf and below that"Trademark. The thought was that it was an oil crate(the estate thought maybe olive oil) but not sure. I tried to find info on the"B" and leaf logo but did not find anything that I was sure of. See all pics for condition. Lots of original patina that makes this crate look wonderfully rustic. Would look great in a room or garden.
