The gothic revival begins in earnest in 1837 with the publication in London of Pugin's Contrasts. But this gothic revival bookcase with glazed doors must date towards the 4th quarter of the 19th century. It seems well constructed and an attractive piece of furniture that would prove useful and harmonic in almost any home decor. This bookcase has wear commensurate with its age. It is a 10 1/8 by 7 1/4 inch wooden box that stands 7 inches tall. All four sides are decorated in impressed ink stamped labels. The lateral joints are tongue and grooved with box jointed ends. This crate is in great looking condition. The corner box joints are a little loose but are holding together well. There is one board chipped on the top edge. The labels are bold and easily legible. Vintage 1969 Coca-Cola Soda Bottle Wooden Crate-Chattanooga-Collectible-CHARM!!
This is a great piece of advertising from days gone by. 1969 Chattanooga Coca-Cola wooden soda bottle crate. This measures 18 x 11 5/8 x 3 5/8 inches. It is in average condition. Please take a look at photos for the overall shape of the crate. There is some damage to the wood and a few cracks in the bottom of the crate. Some of the paint is worn off as well in spots. There is also rust on the metal pieces of the crate. You can make out 1969 on the interior and then you can see"nooga" so I am assuming this is a Chattanooga crate. This has great patina and will still display pretty nicely. But again. Please note photos for condition and color. This is a fabulous starting piece for your coke collection. Up for sale is one wooden Donald Duck soft drink crate. The crate measures 18 1/2" wide. 12" deep and sits 4" high. The crate is stained white on the outside. With blue lettering. The front and back read"Donald Duck" and"Copyright Walt Disney Productions" and include a likeness of Donald Duck. The sides read. Commercial Beverage CO INC. One of the side members is stamped with an emblem on the inside and reads. Merchant Box Company, Gloucester Mass. Since 1877. Underneath the emblem, there is also a"6-53" stamped(does that mean this crate was manufactured in June of 1953? Set up for six packs rather than individual bottles(I've seen others configured this way) the crate is solidly constructed. Steel bands and nails are still in place and holding firm. Up for bid is a Pettijohn's California Breakfast Food antique box crate lid. This is a very cool unique item. There aren't many others around these days like this. If there's any at all. This is the lid off of an old wooden crate of Pettijohn's California Breakfast food like what the store keepers would have to take off the crates before they put it on the shelves. It measures about 14" x 18.5" and weighs nearly 4 pounds. As you can see in the photos, it has wear in the form of some of the paper from the Pettijohn's advertisement on the lid is missing. Also a couple of boards feel on the loose side even though they're all still in tact. This dates from the late 1800's to early 1900's so for it's age it's in considerably good condition still.
