The large crate's capacity is 7 1/2 dozen eggs and has 3 pulp fiber cardboard separators each holding 30 eggs. The medium crate's capacity is 5 dozen eggs and has 2 pulp fiber cardboard separators each holding 30 eggs. The small crate's capacity is 1 1/2 dozen eggs and has 2 pulp fiber cardboard separators each holding 9 eggs. T hey were used on farms for gathering the Hen's eggs from the chicken coop that were to be sold. The eggs would be transported to the Country Store or Market in these to prevent the breaking of the eggs. They are constructed with a sturdy wood slat design with a wire and wood handle on the secure lock top. The top's design is made to not come off while they were being carried. It has two compartments under the lift off lid which will have been original intended to take cardboard boxes of shotgun cartridges. It is in excellent condition with very good patina and the carries the number 27 on the front. This probably indicates it came from a large shooting estate where each individual marksman would have been allocated his own box of cartridges. It has a leather stitched carrying handle and a steel padlock hasp plus two clip fasteners to hold the lid in place. It measures 13.5 inches square by 6 inches deep. It weighs just under 3KG. PA I think early 1900s(closest info I can find) It is in very nice shape overall with some picture cracking due to age. Also has a mark underneath and one in the back which I show in pics these marks shouldn't be seen when displayed. This is a Hard To Find. Vintage U.S. GOVERNMENT MINT CARSON CITY NEVADA 1887 Morgan Silver Dollar WOODEN CRATE BOX. It is in Nice condition. It measures 16 1/2 x 11 x 12 inches. It has Dovetailed corner joints. It has Wooden& Rope Handles. One side has the 1887 Morgan Silver Dollar Head, and the other side has the Eagle"tails" side of the Morgan Silver Dollar. The ends of the box are stamped"1887" twice, and"PROPERTY OF U.S. GOVERNMENT CARSON CITY MINT NEVADA" The lid has the U.S. Eagle seal on it. These graphics are All stamped Into the wood as well as printed in with ink or pigment. I believe the wood is Pine. I do Not know when it was made. But my guess is probably that it was some type of limited edition item from around the 1960s-70s.But that is just my guess.

This is a beautiful United Dairies Inc. Detroit, MI 1967 Richards Wooden Dairy vintage milk crate! The"United Dairies Inc Detroit, MI 67" is double sided. The"R" in Richard Wooden Dairy is slightly faded but still legible. The fourth side has what appears to be some paint stains. This is a wooden and metal crate with only a few areas of rust, particularly to the bottom of the crate. This piece is perfect for décor and is still usable for storage or whatever your imagination has in mind.
