1955 Vintage Wooden Pepsi Cola Bottle Crate This crate is has faded stamped markings on it that were once bright red. Since they were actually stamped hard enough to indent the surface of the wood you can still easily make them out and might consider repainting them. This crate missing part of one of its bottom slats but is otherwise pretty solid and could be displayed in its present antique condition quite attractively or restored. You would certainly enjoy looking at it as is if you were in a Cracker Barrel restaurant. Curiously. It’s even stamped“Drink Pepsi Cola” on the inside too! It held 24 bottles. These aren’t too many of these things around anymore. They were certainly about as lightly built as they could be and still be serviceable. It has a sliding top lid as shown. The front and back of box reads" French's Fine Extracts" in black lettering. It measures approx. 6" x 6" x 4" The remnant of the paper label is on one side which reads"Lemon- Pennant- Rochester. NY. The inside contains six old, small cork tops which are included. CONDITION: Very good condition for age with no damage. One side has a round burn mark as shown. Wood shows minor wear, lid still slides, label ... moreis only partial but part is readable as shown. Up for grabs is a wonderful local estate sale find. Please see photos for exact condition-pictures say a 1000 words. This is an old Shell Oil Company wooden crate that was used to hold 6 one gallon cans of'wet clutch oil' The box is very sturdy and solid. Even with the close up photos of the box, showing some surface damage. The box measures approx. 14' across and is 8 3/4' deep on the inside and 9 1/8 deep when measuring on the outside(due to a thick piece of wood on the bottom of the box) The Shell Emblem'Logo' is stamped on the crate and you can feel the groves on it and for the 6-One Gal. Cans. One side(the lead photo) is in really good shape. The other side unfortunately has some non-factory stamp marks on it(see pictures) where someone used it as a media to stamp imprinted marks on it. Wooden Crate Storage Ammo Vintage Box
For auction is(1) Wooden crate that would make a great ammo box! These crates can be used for anything as they are completely empty. The inside dimensions are 20 7/8 x 8 5/8 x 11 3/8(the width of the crate between the dividers is 7 1/16) and the outside dimensions are 24 x 11 1/2 x 13 1/2. The dividers can easily be pried off if not desired. There are some stencils on the crate as these were originally made for a military application. We will ship this item in a cardboard box to protect it from damage during shipping even though these are sturdy enough to ship on their own.
