Vintage FAYGO SODA Wooden Crate. Very Good Condition. Faygo Remembers!
Up for auction is this terrific vintage FAYGO wooden carrier. I've had it in my direct possession since. At least 1980, because I stored my record albums in this crate in my college dorm. This crate measures approximately 17" tall X 12" wide X 12" deep. The writing is clear and the color is vibrant. The wood is sturdy and strong. And the edges are protected by a metal band. The crate is also marked DETROIT 7. MICHIGAN. The two larger interior panels have each have a faint red FAYGO stamped on them. Also, on the interior, a smaller red stamped 11- 66 with the name of the company that manufactured the box. I'm assuming that the box was manufactured in November of 1966. It also has the wooden box manufacturer's stamp, but I just can't read it clearly. According to Faygo's history website. The shield on this ... morebox was introduced in the 1940's. CIRCA 1900 PEET BROS MFG CO SILK SOAP WOODEN SHIPPING CRATE BOX KANSAS CITY
I picked up another large group of old drug store inventory and will be listing approximately 150 items which come from an old drug store/barber supply store that closed its doors many years ago. According to the owner. The store closed in the 1950s, but I have found a handful of items that appear to be as new as the 1960s to 1980s. At any rate, all of the items have been in storage for decades and nearly all are NEW OLD STOCK! Most items date from the 1880s to the 1950s. If you collect old drug store items, this is an opportunity to purchase some really nice items! This item is a circa 1900 Peet Bros. Mfg. Co. Silk Soap wooden shipping crate. Peet Brothers was a Kansas based soap manufacturer that was founded in 1872. Their products included Crystal White Laundry Soap. Crystal White Soap Flakes, Creme Oil Toilet Soap, Imperial Peroxide Toilet ... moreSoap, Sea Foam Naphtha Washing Powder, Borax Washing Compound, and many others. The company's main plant was located in Kansas City. In 1926, Peet Peet brothers merged with Palmolive to become Palmolive-Peet Company. The colored printing on one side is in EXCELLENT condition. The printing on the opposite side has partially worn off. As is the case with one end of the crate. One end has no legible printing on it. The crate has very nice dove tailed corners. There are a few cracks to the wood that can be seen in the photos, but nothing major. The crate is complete, with no missing pieces. Overall condition of the crate is VERY GOOD. It measures 17-1/2" X 15" X 10" Display it, use it as a table, store your old vinyl records in it- the possibilities are endless. This is a wonderful example of old drugstore memorabilia! Antique CONOCO CONTINENTAL OIL WOODEN CRATE/BOX oil and gas advertising
Continental Oil and Transportation Company(Conoco) begun in 1875 in Ogden. Utah. As derived from reading different information on internet(some listed below) Continental Oil used the Continental solder logo from around 1914 to 1930. Part of the log is shown in one of the pictures. So the date of this box is between 1914 to 1930. It looks like this box was either produced by or sent to the Continental Oil facility in Butte, MT(see pictures) The box/crate is 21" long by 10" wide by 15' high. The box weighs around 8 pounds or so. The print on the front reads"Continental Safety Oil Water White High Test" and is in great shape for its age. The box also is in great shape for its age. Vintage Pansy Prunes Wood Wooden Crate Box Advertising 20"WX12"DX11"H
This Vintage Pansy Prunes Wood Wooden Crate is 20" wide X 12" deep X 11" high. There is a slat at the bottom that is 1" high so the crate is 10" not including the slat. It has been gently restored. What do I mean by gently restored? My overall objective is to preserve as much as the old tool or item with its lifetime patina as possible without the use of power tools. To clean metal I typically initially use mineral oil. Or a weak solution of washing soda and water and if necessary brief electrolysis to remove and or convert rust to black oxide. This technique may not remove imperfections and oxidations as it is not a full restoration method. Whichever method is best I then use a scotch brite plastic cleaning pad with water so the underlying metal is not damaged. I immediately use a heat gun to blow dry and eliminate ... moremoisture which is followed by a hand rubbed coat of mineral oil. After letting the oil“soak in” for a day or so, I wipe it clean then hand rub in bees wax to seal it. For wood I use a weak solution of oil soap and water to remove grime, old oils and dirt then blow dry with a heat gun. I occasionaly use 600 grit emery for wood, explicitly stating this in the description if I do) This is followed by a hand rub of“feed and wax" If the situation requires it for metal, I might occasionally lightly use a soft brass bristle brush or“0000” steel wool. While this may seem like a lot of work compared to the quick use of a wire wheel and/or power sander I believe it best represents how the craftsman of the period would protect and preserve their tools. A colorful wooden box.it is marked"Kraft Harlequin Cheese Kraft Cheese Loaf. 5 Pounds Chicago Ill" The graphics on front and back are still bright and legible. Side graphics are faded and one side does have 3 drips of paint. One end has a metal eye. But the other side is missing one.Great antique patina! A terrific old wooden cheese box!

Here for your consideration we have an authentic 1971 Wooden Coca Cola Carrier. This item holds 12 x 26 FLOZ bottles. It is dated inside 4-71(see pictures) and in very good condition. The outside painted areas are in very good condition with just some light soiling. There is very little if any fading of the paint. The dividers are all intact and in great shape. The base has just a touch of rust on the nail heads and a little on the galvanized rails. Base has dirt and some discolor of the wood from use. All wood is in good condition for its age. No rotting or holes are present. The brackets that secure the wood stays together on the topside are in excellent condition. It measures 17" long by just over 12" deep by 5" tall. There is some dust and dirt inside from sitting for years. It looks as though it has never been exposed ... moreto water or moisture in its life. Overall condition is considered to be very good. 1st issue 1955 Coca-Cola Coke Family sized soda pop wooden crate box carrier
Rare and seldom seen early wooden Coca-Cola crate that holds the 26 ounce family sized bottles which originally came out in 1955. This crate is from the first year of those bottles and is dated July. 1955(7-55) stamped on the inside as such. Crate measures 11.5 wide, 11.5 tall and 16 inches long and is open with no dividers for maximum storage utility. Crate is in solid condition with no"wiggle" but does have some rust on the metal bands and some split s in the wood. a little chunk of wood off the top of one side. Graphics are faded and rustic for a crate this age and is seldom seen with the natural wood look. Add this special crate to your collection today!

Nabisco Anniversary 1998 Wood Wooden Advertising Crate Case National Biscuit Co
Up for auction is this really neat nabisco anniversary 1898 1998 100 year wood advertising crate. It is in good.condition and still sturdy and useable. It has scratches scuffs some chipping to the wood and some wood loss but overall still looks nice please see pics. It measures about 17 3/4" wide by about 11 3/4" deep by about 10 1/2" high. It will also need cleaning to the interior mostly to the bottom. Buyer pays shipping. Please note I ship once a week due to my work schedule. Insurance is included in the price of shipping.
