New Orleans Louisiana it has the number 22 in the MFG seal so probably dates 1922.Displays good especially for its age and rarity.Check photos showing green paint on top of ends,small pieces of wood missing from top of same ends.Metallic silver paint sprayed on the inside of the box and on the top edges.I bought it this way.You won't find a nicer one.There are none to be found.Thank you for looking.

Another one of my estate sale Relics. The crate is farm fresh.And needs a detailed cleaning. The box is dirty,and the only thing i have done is wipe it down with a dry cloth. This piece needs some help,and is in poor condition. Maybe it can be saved,or taken appart and used as a wall piece. The fronts say Loose Wiles Biscuit Co,Bakers of sunshine busicuits. The side of the box says Hubbards wire sewed folding box pat june 28 1828 and patents pending,Made only by puffer Hubbard MFG Co minneapolis,Minn. USA 2-19. then in crayon it says W Girnac Marine City. I think the 2-19 is a date code for Feb 1919,and Marine city is in Michigan,and is also where i got the crate from. The flip down bottom is nearly gone. The lower portion of the crate which was sitting in the dirt floor barn is also in poor condition. The crate still folds flat,and is a ... moregreat Idea. I know that collectors really love the lids to these boxes,and you don't see the boxes hardly ever. This is actually the first i've come across in a very long time. It is in poor condition,and needs cleaning,and possible restoration. Or maybe taken apart and cleaned adding a coat of paste wax to the lettered portions. I leave it to the buyer to decide. Very rare and hard to find yellow 4- 6 pack Dr.Pepper bottle wooden crate. Stamped Pressed in the wood on each ends is Dr.Pepper Bottling CO. PHONE JA5-1545 OKLACITY. OKLA. and the clock face with 10-2-4 all which is painted in red. On the inside on each side is the words DRINK Dr.Pepper with the company logo and information of TEMPLE MFG. CO. On the inside on each side is the words DRINK Dr.Pepper with the company logo and information of TEMPLE MFG. CO. The crate is approx. 18 5/8 in wide 12 1/8 in. deep by 4 1/4 in. tall. It has 4 inside slots that would of held 4-6 packs. Those compartments are 5 1/2" by 8 1/4" each. The bottom is constructed of 3 rough cut wooden slats 3/8" by 3 1/2" by the length of the box. The box is constructed using dove tail and tounge/grove. The only nails or material used to hold it together ... moreis a metal band on each end with nails. There is some surface rust on the metal straps as to be expected with the age. In one of the pics. you can see that when the box was constructed the maker bent a nail hammering it in and another nail head is siting on top of it. I never tried to fix it I thought that it added character. This box is very sturdy and strong. It has 4 little screw holes in the bottom as it was hung on the wall as a shelf to display other Dr.Pepper items. This box is very sturdy and strong. When it comes to early country store wooden labelled soap crates. This is by far the holy grail. this 1880's crate is not only extraordinarily rare by it is also in remarkably mint condition. It measures 15" wide by 11" tall and 16" long. It would not only be extremely difficult to find another one of these crates. But it would be essentially impossible to find one in an equally mint condition. The stunningly beautiful lithographed adv label is almost entirely intact and it is also unbelievably detailed, colorful and absolutely incredibly beautiful. The label shows a trademark registered date of 1875 and 1871. I have included a close up of this along the bottom of the label. However please note that my camera is not great with close ups. Vintage Wood Scotch Crate“White Horse Cellar” Restored This is an original“White Horse Cellars” scotch crate from White Horse Distillers of Glasgow. Scotland. All of the original printing is intact. All of the wood is from the original crate. The bottom of the crate has the original printing showing that the crate was destined for“Atlas Dist. Corp. Worchester 3 MA” which means that this crate pre-dates the beginning of the zip code system(1963) All of the original printing is intact and much of the ink coloring is still vibrant and rich. These older. Wooden scotch crates are getting harder and harder to find in any condition since it’s been many decades since scotch was shipped in wooden crates and they were rarely preserved. The following was performed on this crate in the restoration process: Sanding of all non-printed panels. Mostly on ... morethe inside and bottom panel. No sanding was done to any panel with printing• Light sanding may have been done to some of the panels with printing but with great care to avoid damaging or removing the printing or graphics• Application of a clear. Satin polyurethane to all panels• Some areas had wood glue applied to repair breaks or cracks in the wood• The original nails were removed and new nails were used when the crate was reassembled. New nail holes were created if re-using the original hole would result in splitting or weakening the wood. The crate has been treated with clear. Satin polyurethane to enrich and seal the wood, protect it from moisture, rotting, humidity as well as to enhance the original color and luster of the wood. This crate measures approximately 17-7/8” x 13-3/4” x 8-1/2” L x W x H) Overall this is an excellent example of a vintage scotch crate with fantastic luster and color in the wood.
