The large crate's capacity is 7 1/2 dozen eggs and has 3 pulp fiber cardboard separators each holding 30 eggs. The medium crate's capacity is 5 dozen eggs and has 2 pulp fiber cardboard separators each holding 30 eggs. The small crate's capacity is 1 1/2 dozen eggs and has 2 pulp fiber cardboard separators each holding 9 eggs. T hey were used on farms for gathering the Hen's eggs from the chicken coop that were to be sold. These old wooden crates seem to be getting more popular all the time for so many different and creative decorating ideas. I know my daughters keep asking me for more crates all the time! This is one of several adverting crates I will be listing or have listed. They were setting in an old shed in on a Wisconsin farm for probably 40-50 years. So they really needed to be cleaned up. All my crates have been power washed carefully as not to destroy any printing, and lightly sanded to remove any slivers or rough spots. Gold Medal Explosives" Gelatin, 50lbs. 40% and 11/2" X 8" sticks of dynamite. The box is still in the same condition as originally found. Meaning it has not been repaired or altered in anyway since it was acquired a little over a year ago. The dimensions of the box is 18 1/4" Length X 12" Width X 7 1/2" Height. This is a vintage large RC Royal Crown Cola Soda Pop Crate Wood Red Advertising wooden crate. This crate measures 17" x 11 1/2" x 10" and both sides where the handles are say RC and Saginaw. Michigan. As you can see from the photos this crate has some fading wit one side being the worst. However, it does still have all the markings on the inside and no cracks in the wood. This is a great advertising piece.
