Standing on tapering spade feet. Fine quality piece. Measures 72 inches wide x 54 inches high x 16 inches deep. The gothic revival begins in earnest in 1837 with the publication in London of Pugin's Contrasts. But this gothic revival bookcase with glazed doors must date towards the 4th quarter of the 19th century. It seems well constructed and an attractive piece of furniture that would prove useful and harmonic in almost any home decor. This bookcase has wear commensurate with its age. The outside finish is a bit dull, but a good polish would make it look fabulous. The shelves are all adjustable. The center door is missing the lock, the two side doors have locks and a key but I cannot get them to work. MEASUREMENTS: 72 long. The inside dimensions are 15 3/4 x 6 1/4 x 5 5/8 and the outside dimensions are 19 x 8 x 8. There are some stencils on the crate as these were originally made for a military application. Vintage Wooden Pepsi Cola Crate This is a wonderful piece of Pepsi history! It is a wooden Pepsi-Cola crate with four inner compartments. The crate measures 18" x 11 1/2" x 6" deep. The crate has one opening on each side that serves as a handle. The front and back of the crate reads"Drink Pepsi-Cola" and the handled sides read"Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. Chehalis Aberden. It appears the crate was once painted white and the lettering is red. The white paint has since faded and the letter is quite vintage looking as well but definitely still legible. The wooden compartment inserts could be removed but are held in place with metal edging. This edging has a couple places that are rusty and it is coming away from the wood in one area as well. This Griggs. Cooper, Co piece is most likely from the early 1900's. Griggs, Cooper& Co was founded in the late 1800's and was the largest grocery manufacturer in the Northwest. Eventually, after prohibition was lifted in 1933, the company moved into wine& spirits. The name is now Wirtz Beverage Group, still in Minnesota.This crate has"Griggs, Cooper and Company" on a stamped logo with the following words: The Blue Flame New Process Coffee, makes the best drink" Coffee Roasters" is the bottom of the stamp. There are a couple indistinguishable words in the middle. I can almost make out the word berry, but that doesn't make sense, so I'm not sure what it says. This auction is for a 7up 12 slot soda crate The crate itself is in very good condition(The wood) The banding shows some rust on the bottom but most crates have a little. The Box is 17 1/2 inches long and 12 1/2 inches wide by 5 1/2 tall. I think this crate is pretty rare because I believe it held 1 quart bottles but i am no expert on the subject so do your homework. The Paint is fading a and it definitely shows some signs of wear from being used. Check the pictures closely because what you see is what you get.
