I ncluded is three sizes: Large measuring 13" L x 13" D x 10 H. Medium measuring 13" L x 13" D x 7" H and the Small measuring 8 1/2" W x 8 1/2" D x 6 1/2" H. The large crate's capacity is 7 1/2 dozen eggs and has 3 pulp fiber cardboard separators each holding 30 eggs. The medium crate's capacity is 5 dozen eggs and has 2 pulp fiber cardboard separators each holding 30 eggs. The small crate's capacity is 1 1/2 dozen eggs and has 2 pulp fiber cardboard separators each holding 9 eggs. T hey were used on farms for gathering the Hen's eggs from the chicken coop that were to be sold. The eggs would be transported to the Country Store or Market in these to prevent the breaking of the eggs. They are constructed with a sturdy wood slat design with a wire and wood handle on the secure lock top. The top's design is made to not come off while they were being carried. Up for auction is this VINTAGE 1954 WOODEN MILK CRATE FROM MODERN DAIRY. ELGIN ILLINOIS(First year they opened) The crate measures 15" x 12” by 12" high. I say it held 6 half gallon sized bottles. As you can see in the pictures, the create is in good condition, the wood is weathered, but the wire inside that separated the bottles were cut off. 9-63 Carnation Wooden/Metal Milk Crate. 19"X13"X10" High. Great Condition: LOOK!
Original 9-63 Wood/Metal Carnation Delivery Crate. Very nice used condition. The wood slats show years of careful use with some dings. And two small cracks on the interior side. The stamped"Carnation 9-63" on one end is sharp and clear while the other end was not stamped as well from the factory but still good. See photo's for condition. The galvanized metal frame and bottom are straight and solid. The interior galvanized bottom did have some slight surface rust when I got this crate 30+ years ago. I sanded and waxed the surface to stop further rust. All the rivets are tight and the box is solid. Use it or display it as I did for many years in my historical home. The crate measures: 19"X13"X10" high. It weights approx. 14 lbs.

This is a neat old 1950's Coca-Cola wooden case/crate full of 12"Family Size" bottles that are in near mint shape. In the 1950's Family Size was"One pint. 10oz" or 26 ounces! That's smaller than an original"single serving" Big Gulp! Obviously this is a much larger crate than you are used to seeing. It measures 17" long, 12.5" wide and 6" high. The bottles themselves are 3.5" wide and 12" high. The original paint and graphics are excellent, as are the wood sides and galvanized steel edges. It reads"Drink Coca-Cola in Bottles" and"Family Size" on the front and back.
