For sale is a rare antique vintage wood advertising shipping box or crate for Power-lube Motor Oil. Approximate size is 24" long X 13 1/2" wide X 11 1/4" tall. Printing done in black. Front says. Power-lube Motor Oil' Smooth as the tread of a tiger' with a great image of a tiger printed. One side says, 100% Pure Pennsylvania Oil Guaranteed' other side says, Power-lube Motor Oil Refining Company No. 3' and the back of the box has a shipping number, 16' printed on it. Box is constructed with nails that have rusted over time. Printing is all legible, but box is a little dirty, some light scratches, and the inside has some white material like some cement had been spilled. Up for auction is a vintage Pepsi Cola wooden crate. This measures 18 1/2 x 12" and is 4 1/4" tall. It was meant to carry 24 bottles. It does not have the wooden bottle dividers. It is marked Sedalia. Mo. On both ends. It is in overall nice shape with normal wear and tear for its age. It has various spots of discoloration from age and the red Pepsi Cola is a bit faded on one side. The wood is cracked on one end completely across. WELCOME- Up for bid is this small wooden crate box. Light weight, time-worn, with printed lettering is clear but faded. Print in black lettering from San Juan Fishing and Packing Co. Kippered Salmon, Seattle, Wash. Print is reading on both long flat side, end sides have no printing. The box 11-1/2" length. And depth of 7-1/4" stands 4" tall. Condition is solid, sturdy and built with lighter weight wood. The wood construction is made of solid boards on ends of 1/2" thick, longs sides and bottom is made of 3/16" thickness, no dado, and all are nailed construction with large head nails. This has some dust buildup just on the bottom, as this was removed from a garage and was used as tool or parts storage with some general wear and ageing, I would consider normal characteristic for its age. 1 board loose/lifted from bottom ... moreas has split loose from nail head. could tack down if so wish. Primitive antique wooden dairy bottle crate. From Virginia Dairy Inc. Measures approx. 14 12" long. 12" wide and 7" tall. It has space for 24 bottles. Each space is approx. 2 3/8" squared. It is in good condition though it does have 3 slates broken at the handle& rust on the metal etc. All separator wires look to be intact. I have put coke bottles in it& carried them around so it is solid. The bottom is open as seen in photos there are wires on the bottom to hold bottles in not wood. This is an item which was used daily& is to be expected to show wear. I am 76 yrs. young& grew up on a farm. I would guess this to be from 1920's-1940's. this weights 8lb. 8oz. before pkging. Napa Valley made many media containers but you hardly ever see them for video. Though I'm sure they're out there, this is the only one I've ever come across in all my travels and I've been collecting& using Napa Valley storage crates for many years. It holds 12 video tapes in a nice neat easy to see& select wooden storage display holder. We are going to list MANY of these for various media and all of them have typical common signs of wear/use and all may include small dents nicks stains ... morespots housepaint drops etc. Still they are in overall good condition. These are not furniture-grade wood products because of the rustic style of the factory construction method(rough-cut wood. Only medium sanded, unfinished bare wood) which is part of their charm. These are meant to be finished by the owner but for some reason many choose(perhaps after sanding them a little) to leave them bare wood. This box/crate has some miscellaneous wear but is still in good condition and may just need a little cleaning or TLC. These can be treated with lemon-oil or butcher's wax to give the wood a richer color. Or with wood stain to bring out the wood-grain, or just clear-coated for a natural gloss or satin finish, or even painted your favorite color. These holders were made in the 1980's& 1990's by the Napa Valley Box Company. Napa Valley Co started out making similar heat-branded California wine crates for the wine industry(est. 1872) As an offshoot. Still mounted to the wood, not a reproduction. There are some numbers printed on the wood border. Label is good condition. One tiny piece is missing near the lower right hand side. There appears to be a slight slit in the wood and label near the top 1/3. Really does not affect the piece. No fading. Has been stored in a cabinet in a garage for years. Email with any questions. It is made of wood with metal strips nailed on the corners. Cut-out handles on each end. Overall measurements: 10 1/2" tall x 13 1/2" long x 9 1/2" wide This old crate is in pretty good used vintage condition. It is very dirty and has stains and paint splatters. This is what is called a'Home Carrier' and required a 6 cent deposit. This nice vintage wood crate is 12-1/2 inches long. By 9 inches wide, and 10 inches deep. This crate does not have dividers. This is a great old wooden box for carrying eggs. It is about 14" by 12" On the ends is" Farmers Safety Egg Carrier- Goodwin Tenn- Jackson. Miss" The sides have" Fresh Eggs" more I can't read. It even still has the cardboard egg separators. There are 4 of the waffled support pieces, but only 3 of the dividers.
