1800's hand turned single piece hard wood bowl sturdy with no significant flaws
This early wooden bowl is hand turned from single piece of hard wood. It has shrunk nicely and. Is sturdy, has been well waxed over the years, and well cared for. It shows some cut marks for cutting herbs etc.The bowl is 10&3/4" in diamiter and 2&1/2 tall. It has a defined 3/8' lip. These wooden bowls were a nessary part of every kitchen.

It is an antique Westmoreland Milk Glass lamp(with original sticker) and an antique red velvet shade by Rosanna Originals in Ca. The lamp is a punch bowl style on a wooden base. You can fill the bowl with various seasonal items for a special effect all year long. This fabulous lamp shade is an antique dating back to the 1940's or earlier. It is a very pretty red velvet with a silk interior. It also features a bow and cream colored trim around the scalloped edge. It has the original Rosanna originals label. The lamp including the shade is 35.5" tall. The bowl is 11.5" long and the base is 8" across. The shade measures 21" across at the bottom. The top is 8.75 ... morewide and it is about 14" tall. Both the lamp and shade are in excellent condition especially given their age. There is a little wear on the wooden part of the lamp(refer to the picture with the electric cord) The shade is also in excellent condition. The velvet is in perfect condtion. Has beautiful wood grain look to it and a turned design on the side. It is 11" across and 2 1/2" high. This one looks better than most I have seen. Beautiful Costa Rica Wood (Cocobolo?) Large 12"Salad Bowl w/Fork & Spoon Servers
This beautiful wooden set was acquired at a local estate sale here in Las Vegas. We were told it is made of a wood called Cocobolo but we do not know this for sure. It does have a sticker on the underside reading EL SUENO-Sarchi Costa Rica and that it originated from a place that provides souvenirs. The son in the family stated his parents had visited Costa Rica in the 1970s but was not sure if this was acquired at that time. It is heavy and including the serving pieces it weighs approximately 3 lbs 10 oz. It measures 12" across the top diameter. 3 5/8" high and has a base of 7 1/2" The matching serving fork and spoon are about 11 1/2" in length. This is gorgeous and the wood grains are really highlighted. 1940s Primitive Wood Dough Bowl Butter Hand Carved Marked Munising 2nd 10.75 x
This is a a great old butter bowl. The different shades of natural aged colors. In a soft yellow aged wood with the scratched signs of use and a split as shown that hopefully is simple to repair-can be used as decorative in your old country kitchen-would look fantastic with bright green apples or sunny yellow lemons for Spring into Summertime. Typical age and dry old surface cracks. Yes there is that one crack as its old and has been used showing lots of character. The bowl is oblong and not perfectly round measuring 11 1/2" x 10 3/4" measurements taken from the outer most points. It has the Munising 2nd mark on the base in that calligraphy style that dates it circa 1940s. It is about 2 1/2 inches deep, perfect for mixing butter, dough or simply decorative.

Vintage Made in Mexico Wood Tray & Gourd Bowl Painted Red,Yellow Bees Wax Design
For your consideration we are offering this wonderful vintage example of finely detailed Mexican folk art. This is a recent find from a local estate/moving sale. The wood tray and gourd bowl are painted red with a yellow design applied. There appears to be a lacquer applied. I am not sure. The two pieces had a paper slip attached stating lost Mexican art made with bee’s wax. I do not know how this technique was exactly used. I only can state that the yellow design has fine details cut into it. I tried to show this in a close up photo. There is wear inside the bowl from years of being used. There are also some areas on the outside where some of the yellow applied design has flaked off. The tray also has some areas where the design has flaked off. And some rub areas on the red paint. These shows the age of these beauties. These minor areas ... moreof use only add to the pieces patina. I do not know the exact age of these two pieces. I could not find any examples resembling these two items on the internet. The tray is large it measures approximately 20 7/8” long and 13 7/8” wide from top to bottom and sits up 6/8” from table top. Beaded Wood Bowl Basket with Milk Glass Beads, Ribbon, Sequins and Fabric
This beaded basket is in great shape with all of the beads. Sequins, ribbon and fabric intact. It measures 9" in diameter and is a little over 3" tall. I'm not sure of the age. But one very similar to this one that sold on ebay was described as"old" A lot of workmanship went into making this basket and it really is a piece of art. Thanks for looking!
