Vintage Aluminum Pheasant Sculpture in a Frame ~ Academie Canvas For your consideration is this terrific vintage aluminum pheasant sculpture that has been framed on a vintage Academie Genuine Canvas. I've seen the pheasant sculptures as a stand alone wall hanging. But it appears an artist attached this metal bird sculpture to a very nice Academie Genuine Canvas. The background canvas is a very rich looking brown velvet. It has a light colored wood frame. The outside of the frame measures approximately 18-1/2" x 14-1/2" The dark brown velvet background field measures approximately 12" x 16" The bird measures approximately 10" x 15" The thrifty artist strung this piece with string. Hello and welcome to the auction for this lovely vanity mirror. I don't know the age. But I'd bet it's from the 50's or earlier based on the style and patina. It may even be much older. There are small scalloped edges all around the beveled edge. The white you see is from the price tag at the sale I bought this from. I think that silver is silver plate only as there are chips and wear on it. The mirror appears to be in excellent condition. The mirror seems to be above the frame in some places and below in others. I do not understand why. I don't clean these vintage items anymore because when I was brand new at this I ruined a very expensive piece trying to spiff it up. So.the dirt and dust is FREE. No charge at all. Condition is so often in the eyes of the beholder. I can believe that something is in terrible condition ... moreand you can think it's average. Vintage Solid Brass Frame with Dragons and Flowers for Pictures or Mirror
Solid Brass Frame Old Frame for art. Photo or mirror. It is heavy brass with motifs of Serpent Type Dragons and Lilies. The dragons are wearing Crowns made of three leaves and seem to be eating the lilies. It has large Acanthus leaves in the corners. The backing is screwed on, one of the screws is missing but easily replaceable) There are two holes which might once have held an easel for this frame to stand on a table, or perhaps there was wire through the holes for wall hanging. The frames outer dimensions are 11.25" x 10" and the frame opening is 7" x 5.75" This would look very good with either a picture or a mirror in it. I don't know its age. I have not cleaned it, in case you like the patinated finish, but if you want the bright brass finish, I suspect it would clean up nicely. The box weighs 2 lbs.13 oz.

Large Vintage Wicker Basket stands 27.5" tall and 12" across. With beautiful brass hinges and corner caps and handles on the side the brass looks to be hand hammered with doves as can be seen in the photos. There is excessive damage to the top as and the wicker is missing around the legs all which can be seen in the photographs. if you are handy a rewrap with decorative rope would be a option. It is very sturdy and straight as can also be seen in photos. I don't know the origin it looks to be possibly made in India. FLORAL VINTAGE 1851 HUGE Important Genealogy Sampler Burwell Family in Frame
This amazing genealogy is a very large and colorful sampler! It is from Connecticut I believe though bought at Brooks auction about 20 years ago and is signed and dated"Catharine Burwell 1851" It has the 10 Burwell children named. The earliest born is Henry. 1806 to the last born in 1846. You can see that when Catharine did this. The only person to have passed away was the first born who died in 1846. N ine of the 10 family members had died and were memorialized on this one document. Note how the color of the thread changed as more died and the document was updated. Catharine died in 1896. A true history of a Connecticut family. This sampler is done in a tight wool on linen. It is in its period mahogany frame. It measures a whopping 27.5" x 22.5" overall.
