The piece is chain driven ceiling mount for antique oil ceiling lamp. Works great. Chain pulls down from inside ceiling mount and back inside when finished dropping lamp for cleaning or replacing oil. There are 2 different dates on the piece. Inside cast says Pat Oct 5, 1886& Aug 23, 1885 on other side of cast piece. Outside metal piece says Pat Aug 18,1885 and other side says Aug 18, 1886. Check out my other piece similar to this find. Size: Chain pulls out to 36" from casing. Mounting is 7" x 3.5" deep and 6" from hook to bottom of ornate casing. Weighs 3lbs 8oz. Condition: Original. Chain mechanism pulls down easily. Vintage Cast Iron Eastlake Victorian Wall Sconce Electric Lamp w 3" Shade Fitter
For your consideration is a vintage cast iron Eastlake style electrified wall sconce with 3 inch diameter shade/globe holder/fitter. This is a very nice quality fixture. Please note however. That THE MOUNTING BRACKET IS MISSING. The round part that would insert into the bracket is 5/16 to 3/8 inches in diameter. The socket is good quality. It turns smoothly and works well. It has a very nice brass key. The screws which secure the shade are also brass. The cord is good. This fixture does not have any makers mark or indication where it was made(other than casting numbers'2' and'3' I think it was originally made as an electric lamp but I suppose it's possible(but unlikely) that the electrics were added later. Antique brass hanging oil lamp with milk glass shade. Victorian made in England. I know little about old lamps. What I know about this lamp is that it came with the pair of ship lamps and another hanging lamp I have up for auction also, not sure if it was used in there sailing ship/ yacht or in there Victorian home they owned. They converted this to electric but looks like they kept all the original parts, the chimney might be a replacement part and the celing plate, but the milk glass shade is original to the piece. I believe you could convert it back to oil but would have to do a little work on it, also if you wanted to keep it electric I would re wire it and get a new socket, just for safety. Made in England. I did not polish it. I left this as I found it in a box from an estate sale I bought out. Antique Victorian Gone With the Wind Oil Lamp Electrified Hand Painted Blue-Green Floral Globes Description: This exquisite Gone With the Wind Electrified Oil Lamp cannot be done justice by the photos. It is hand painted with a gorgeous. Rich turquoise or blue green background and pink flowers. This lamp has been electrified and while it does work, it should probably be rewired given its age. The upper globe has been repaired toward the bottom of the lamp and thankfully on the backside. Monumental Victorian Nouveau Bronze Patinated Spelter Figural Lady Newel Lamp
Offered for your consideration is a very large newel lamp of the finest quality formed by a neoclassical art nouveau lady lifting a vessel atop her head. From which 5 vines emerge with lighted flowers at their tips. She stands on a black wooden plinth. I suspect that the base metal is spelter, due to the weight, but perhaps it's bronze. The lamp is monumental in size, about 50 1/2" high by 16" wide. The piece is in remarkably good condition. It looks like portions of some leaves may be missing on the vines and around the sockets at the top. The only other possible flaw I see is a line across the base of the woman's toes on her left proper foot where they join her draped robe/gown. It may have been there from the time of casting. As it shows evidence of age. The wooden base shows a line from shrinkage over time, but is still ... morecompletely stable. The patination is lovely, with only minimal signs of wear, likely the result of a century of cleaning& polishing by previous owners. The wiring was recently professionally updated/replaced with fine silk cord and a new plug. I do not believe that the lamp originally had coordinating shades. Per se; I suspect that regular light bulbs were used. As its purpose was to provide useful illumination. Alternatively, a variety of old and reproduction bulbs& bulb covers are available from various sources, if you do not already have them and care for that"look" If you are the winning bidder. I want you to be thrilled with the purchase. Returns, however, will not be accepted, due to the high costs(and risk of damage) incurred when shipping fragile valuable items back and forth. This is a good heavy quality Victorian faceted and cut glass/crystal oil lamp font. It measures 6.25"15.8cm in diameter across the top and the glass is 3"7.7cm deep. The font is fitted with a brass undermount with a 21mm screw thread. It also has a bayonet fit oil lamp burner collar that has traces of silver plating to the top surface. No cracks to the glass. The facet edges on the top and sides are crisp. The base surface has some scratches to the facet edges. Other than that the font is in very good overall condition. This is a good quality late Victorian/Edwardian Vianne etched glass oil lamp shade that is decorated with bands of flowers and leaves. The Vianne name appears on the side of the shade(see pic) It measures 6.5"16.5cm in diameter and stands 6.5"16.5cm tall. Vintage Victorian Southern Belle Doll Lace Skirt Chalkware Lamp Light
Up for your Collection is this Wonderful Vintage 1930s Chalkware BOUDOIR Bed Lamp Southern Belle Lady LACE Enchanting boudoir lamp from the 1920's or 1930's. This elegant lady made of Chalkware; complete with rhinestone earrings. The composition is in very good condition with no repairs. She is wearing a hoop skirt of tiers of ivory colored lace adorned with tiny pink porcelain roses. Her"hat" is a matching shade of the same tiers of lace and embellished with a grosgrain ribbon bow. The shade is lined in silk.All the lace fabric is in excellent condition and is all original.She is however missing her wrap for around her chest. I believe this is why there are pin holes in her back for ware the fabric should have been adorn to. The lamp measures approximately 20 1/2 inches tall. This is from the bottom to the top of the shade ... morewith bulb in socket. It appears that the original has been changed out.The wiring on the top is in good working condition. The switch is 3-way and allows for the bulb on the base and the top bulb to both be on or just the base to be used as a nightlight under her skirt. I did not get the bottom light to light up. Also. Beautifully hand-crafted Victorian Era/ Steampunk/ Machine Age style Lamp. Flat black cast iron base and tubular steel shaft with bronze accents. Working vintage Voltmeter responds linearly to bulb brightness. As the rear-mounted bronze machine nut is turned. The lamp gets brighter and the voltmeter needle rises accordingly. Rather visually appealing. Steel pattern-stamped shade was salvaged from a very old Bausch& Lomb optical transformer housing: the original labels have been left intact as shown. The cord is fabric covered wire(reproduction: safe) with an older vintage in-line on/off switch. The standard-socket bulb receptacle is a newer unit, safely wired with the same gold colored vintage-style wire. For sale is a vintage ceramic Victorian transfer vase that is actually a tv light/ night light planter. It measures about 8 inches high and about 7 inches wide. The light is in excellent condition without any chips or cracks. There appears to be no loss of the graphics of the Victorian scene. The planter light does have some gold accents around the top and bottom and is missing very little of it. The item has good working wiring and has a bakelite bulb holder.
