Victorian Gas Portable Lamp Tulip and Urn Circa 1870's
Up for sale is a Victorian Era Gas Portable Table Lamp. Made of probably spelter and painted gold, circa 1870's. There is a patent date at top of"1867" and"reiss 1875" which I believe to mean reissue 1875. The lamp is all original gas, NOT CONVERTED TO ELECTRIC. The lamp base design is an urn and tulip. The ruffled shade is leaf and vine design with embossed cherubs. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs to the shade, the frosted part does have a couple of rubbed places near the top. The lamp measures 19-3/4" tall with shade, 16-1/2" without shade, base is 5-5/8" the shade is 8-5/8" at the top and the throat of the shade is 4" I do not know the identity of the maker, but I do have a couple of people looking into it, and if I find out the manufacturer I will post it on the listing. The Rayo Lamp was manufactured by Bradley and Hubbard for Standard Oil in 1895. The production of the lamp was phased out in the early 1950s. The lamp is 12 inches tall and is Nickel plated. There are no deep dents or creases and the Plating is still shiny. There are a few pinhead dents and a little wear to the plating from age and use. The gallery is in very condition with no issues. The burner is missing but the wick is still there. The wick adjuster moves back and forth but wick does not move. Here for your consideration is a gorgeous Victorian Austrain style antique porcelain lamp. We took this lamp to"Appraisal Day" at Pier Antique show and were told it dates to the early 1900's and mostly likely orginated from Austria. This piece would need to be rewired with hardware in order for in to function as a lamp again. Features a lovely floral design(which may have been added afterword" on the front framed within what appears to be a hand painted gold trim. And a rich dark burgandy surrounding. The lovely center is framed with one of most ornate metal finishings we have seen and rich patina that has developed throughout the decades. We are not certain what metal its made from. The piece measures 20 3/4 inches in height by about 5.5 inches at the center vase and weighs a little over 5 pounds. The brass base is pressed with a distinctly art nouveau pattern with a beaded edge. The edge of the brass pressing is brightly polished with the remainder bronzed. The fluted bronzed column is punctuated by bands of polished brass and is finished with a heavy polished brass inset threading collar that connects with the pressed glass fonts screw fitting. Antique Victorian Hanging oil lamp. Unmarked except for the burner which is a Queen Ann made in USA by the Scovill MFG CO. Complete with shade, hanging mechanism, oil burner, and soot protector. The shade measures approximately 6” at top and 13 ¾ at bottom,shade height 7” and overall is approximately 20” The height mechanism is in good condition and moves freely The shade is in good condition aside for tiny flea bite chips along top and bottom edges The bottom part of the burner measures 3 ¼” tall and the widest part of the belly is 5 ½” around. All pieces are in good and working condition, but could use a good cleaning. This lamp will be packed in separate pieces and will need assembly. Hi. I am selling a antique gone with the wind oil kerosene old parlor banquet Victorian lamp. During 1895-1910 The base and the shade are embossed with chrysanthemum flowers design. I think one time it was made in a electrified lamp. On the bottom it have a small chip one repaired it. For the age, its in very good condition. You see it is very old. I just don't know how old. The globe measures 27 in round, The top open is 3 1/4 wide. The lamp 14 in tall. The chimney measures 10 in tall. the top open 2 3/4 and the bottom open 2 7/8. 1871 Victorian B&H 6 arm cast iron hanging kerosene oil lamp chandelier. This lamp came out of a library in southern Massachusetts. The lamp is complete except it does not have any chimneys. Design looks like a Bradley& Hubbard but not for sure- very good detail. Patent date Jan. 31. 1871 inside the cast iron oil font holder. Gold color- finish looks to be original but I am not certain. No damage or repairs to cast iron oil lamp chandelier that I can find. There is a 6' extension arm and part that mounts through the attic. The lamp is 27" width; 34" tall. The shades are from the same period as are the oil fonts but the shade holders look newer to me. This is how I purchased the lamp. This hanging Victorian cast iron chandelier is very heavy and I will ship Parcel Post in 3 separate boxes so shipping will be a flat $125 ... morewithin the US. Offered is this Antique Victorian Era Center-Draft Kerosene Banquet Lamp that has been converted to electric. A casted white metal cherub figure decorated in cream enamel with gold highlights and supported on a gold colored cast metal stand. Holds a beautiful, once kerosene-burning lantern. Its all brass font and gallery are decoratively detailed in embossed floral cartouches. The original burner has been replaced with a brass 110 volt electric light bulb adaptor that looks much like the original kerosene burner. The shade rest is circled with an impressed daisy design and measures 4 inches in diameter. Its frosted glass shade measures 9 inches in diameter and is decorated in applied daisy transfers with hand painted detail. The overall height of the lamp To the top of its chimney is 30 inches. It measures 18.5 inches to the top of its light ... moresocket and 16 inches to the top of the font. The condition of this entire piece is excellent. The base sits flat and the lamp is stable with no rocking. The wiring is safe and the light functions properly. Vintage French Polynesian Victorian Tiki Carved Conch Shell Lamp NO Lamp Base
Up for sale is a beautifully carved conch shell lamp. It's missing the base. But the beauty is in the shell. I'm not sure where it's from. But lots of the estate items were collected while sailing around the world, from the 50's to 80's. There were a few other beautifully carved shell items from Tahiti. So I'm guessing this is from the South Pacific, but really have no idea. Please due your due diligence, or better yet, send some education on this piece, my way. There's a small chip on the tip and a little bit of wear on the bottom. The base is missing. But the metal rings to screw something in are in perfect condition.
