Reverse Color Vtg Lamp Plaskon Bakelite Style Victorian Pictures Glow w/Light On
Unique and Adorable Vintage Lamp! It seems to be made of some type Plaskon or Bakelite-type material. I am NOT an expert in this type material. So I can’t say for certain. We purchased the lamp at a local antique faire to use with a display at a home and garden show. The Lamp is Ivory colored with carvings on the base and pedestal. The Shade is compression molded with 6 sides and has etchings of Victorian Girls and Floral Bouquets. When the Lamp is turned on. Soft colors from behind the shade glow and bring the etchings to life. Very pretty. The photographs do not show some of the pastel colors in the girls’ dresses and floral bouquets. the camera tended to wash them out. The Height of the Lamp with shade on is about 17 inches. The Shade is about 7¼ inches tall and about 7” wide across the bottom. The height of the base and pedestal ... moreis about 7½” Felt on bottom of base to protect furniture. The Lamp is in very nice working condition. Other than one of the little spokes in the very top part of the shade having a crack– see photo#11– probably caused by using too high bulb wattage. The Lamp has been re-wired with a modern toggle switch on the cord. Probably a 40-watt incandescent bulb is as high as should be used. I’m not sure if the lamp would work with newer fluorescent or halogen bulbs. I bought these to put in my 1951 Spartan trailer but the fitter end is too big. I need 3 1/4 and these are 3 3/4" I have no idea how old they are but they are not new! Antique EAPG Swirl Fleur De Lis Victorian Era Old Glass Miniature GWTW Oil Lamp
Check my other listings for another miniature lamp from this same estate.we do combine shipping. Old late 1800's/early 1900's miniature GWTW oil lamp. This one has its color right into the glass. It is not painted on to the outside. Swril pattern appears on both the font and matching shade with embossed/raised Fleur De Lis pattern on both base and shade as well. The Fleur De Lis on the base is a pastel green and the shade a pastel yellow. The font needs to be cleaned. There is a golf ball size repair on the shade that has a little hairline extending from the top of the repair to the top rim. You can turn the repair to the back of the lamp and it won't be seen. The top rim has some chips and there is no chimney. This little gem measures about 8 1/2" tall X about a 3 3/4" diameter at the largest. Up for auction are Two Vintage Victorian Era Frosted Glass Lamp Shades Globes. Have a Raised Embossed Lattice Pattern with Vines and Scalloped Opening. Thick Frosted Glass Shades. Very good condition and will fit any 2-1/4" fitter hardware mount(most common) Approximately 5" High with a 5" Diameter at Bottom Opening. Fitter hole measures 2-1/16" diameter outside and 1-1/2" diameter inside fitter. Thick heavy shades approximately 5/16" thick glass at fitter end and 1/4" thick glass at bottom opening. Nice condition with no chips or cracks. Some markings on fitter end from previous screw hardware mount. Which is considered normal and will not be noticeable once installed. With minor surface rust, scuffs in metal finish on base(felt on underside of base, indented, but this is not noticeable as it is under the piece) There are some small dots of missing paint on the porcelain(which look to be caused by manufacturing, not by damage, but some could be small chips) there are also some light scuffs in the porcelain from years of storage. Awesome antique victorian 3 standing cherubs table lamp early 1900s* This is an awesome antique victorian cherub table lamp which stands 17 inches high and is 6 inches wide at the base marble base. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a fancy ruby and amber glass bead pull on the chain. The lamp has a fancy pierced brass floral shade ring which is adorned with 34 strands of fire polished bohemian crystal lustres. I used a short round standard watt light bulb in this lamp which doesn't extend down beyond where the crystals end. These decorator bulbs can be found in any home center or home depot. Victorian Cherub Figural Banquet Lamp, NB&IW, Electrified, Repaired
A previously owned and used old Victorian figural Cherub Banquet Lamp. The lamp has been electrified. It does work and has an on/off switch on the base. The Cherub Figure has had a repair to her Neck. It is a sturdy repair. No movement, but it is there and can be seen when looking closely. I have not tried to cover it up. But I guess it could be covered with paint. The lamp is 21" tall to the top of the chimney holders and 25" tall with this glass etched chimney in place. The base is about 8 3/4" wide with the feet that flare out. It is marked on the underside of the base, NB&IW(National Brass& Iron Works. It uses a regular sized base light bulb.
