Rare Majestic Victorian Antique Quilted Satin Glass Brass Banquet Lamp
Auction Wizard 2000 Listing Template- AW2KLOT#1073 FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION Absolutely gorgeous antique quilted satin glass brass banquet twin burner lamp with hand applied enamel flowers and an elegantly embossed shade. Can't say"1890's Victorian" any better than this. The lamp with chimney stands 29-1/2 inches tall to the top of the brass above the bowl it's 19-1/2" I was driving down the road one day about 30 years ago and passed one of those rural residential antique shops and this lamp managed to catch my eye at about 55 mph. I turned around and went back and bought it. We have enjoyed it all these years but now we're having to scale down and so this treasure is for sale. It is a two wick kerosene lamp burner which seems to be in good shape. Be prepared to argue with her a bit when you re-assemble her. She's ... morea bit finicky about being put together so that she sets straight and true. But at her age I don't blame her a bit. I have never put oil in the lamp so can't speak to how well it lights a room when burning, but it surely lights the room just sitting in it. What a glorious lamp she is. There are no markings on the burner and she comes with a double wick which is indeed one wick with both ends up into the 2 burners. If you need to be guaranteed this is an ANTIQUE Lamp I hereby state it is at least 100 years old. The chimney may not be the original, they were sometimes broken in cleaning but I have no way of knowing that. Lamps like this beautiful example were in several of the 1890's catalogues. We certainly hope you enjoy her as much as we have; she adds a bit of grace and decorum to any room. A lamp seldom seen for sale. Priced to sell. AMAZING and RARE Victorian Oil Lamp! This lamp is molded porcelain with beautiful hand painted panels showing 6 courting couples; very similar to lamps by Meissen and Dresden. The maker did mark this lamp on the brass neck. But it is unreadable, except the date of 1878! It has a Miller#2 small burner with the original unused flat wick and original set screw. It operates perfectly! Also included is the original flared chimney. this part does have a very small flea bite, rough bottom edge and tiny heat check on the edge due to age, see photos. The body of the lamp is perfect. No chips or cracks! Paint remains bright and beautiful! VERY little wear! The only imperfection is to the brass base that was damaged or broken and repaired many. Many years ago, can be seen in photos. This could easily be redone in brass solider to blend better. This ... moreis not noticeable unless you are looking very close or underneath and doesn't detract from the beauty of this lamp in any way! There is no damage to the porcelain! We have for sale a fine miniature Antique Lamp in Rare Victorian Art Glass. This is a Rainbow Satin Glass lamp in 4 color over teardrop or herringbone background. The bottom is a Mother of Pearl Satin.The Lamp measures 5" tall by 4 1/4" wide at the footed base. It measures 3" across at the top. The feet are hand blown applied. The neck is brass and the hole is about 1" at the opening. There are no chips. Cracks nor repairs we have to report. This is an excellent 19th century lamp base that is a Rare Bird to find. This is for a really beautiful Victorian Art Nouveau Kralik or Pallme Konig Art Glass Lamp Shade produced in about 1900. It is in great shape with just a couple of tiny nicks to the fitter rim and some small specks on the sides and near the fitter. Very minor roughness also on the bottom. Hello and welcome! You are viewing an absolutely beautiful Victorian style mid-century table lamp. This is in the best condition I have ever found for a lamp this age. It has a rose design which is not faded at all. The brass/gold on the lamp is in beautiful condition. The lamp works perfectly and has a nice long cord. It measures 26" from the base to the top of the finial. There are no chips. Cracks, blemishes anywhere that I can find. Awesome antique victorian table lamp early 1900s* This is a gorgeous antique victorian table lamp which is 18 inches high and 7 inches wide at the base. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a double cut crystal pull on the chain. The fancy pierced brass floral shade ring is decorated with 31 strands of crystal lustres. I used a short round standard watt light bulb in this lamp which doesn't extend down beyond where the crystals end. These decorator bulbs can be found in any home center or home depot. ANTIQUE HANGING VICTORIAN PARLOR OIL LAMP PROFESSIONALLY ELECTRIFIED - MUST SEE!
This is an antique Victorian Hanging Parlour/ Parlor Lamp that hung in our formal dining room in New York State. The home was built in the late 1880s. And had all beautiful antique lighting. This was originally oil/ kerosene, but it was professionally changed over to electric, and could easily be put back to oil, as no damage was done to the lamp itself. I of course, do not have the burner portion. The glass oil reservoir is beautiful and embossed. On 4 places on the reservoir, are 4 embossed diamond designs amidst the vertical designs. May be a makers mark. I don't know who made this, but it's beautiful. This hangs from the ceiling, and originally one would pull it down towards the table when in use, and raise it up towards the ceiling when not in use. This has been modified but I was told that too, can be changed back to original. ... moreNow the wiring goes up through that mechanism, which somewhat hides it from view. This is a beautiful piece, and is in excellent condition, for its age. Some of the brass finials are bent, as you can see in the third photo close-up. They can be straightened, but I'll leave that to a professional. The prisms are iridescent, and beautiful. The reason we are selling this, is because we moved from our Victorian NY home, to the south, in a modern home, and it just does not go with modern. My photos do not do this justice.
