They are ¼” thick ... moreand have a white clay base. Condition: Overall excellent condition for being 100 years old. There is a small chip on the top right corner of the bottom right tile. There is a burst bubble in her hair. There is some wear on the high points around her left hand. There is a small chip at the bottom of her hair near her belt. There are a few other burst bubbles and a few other smaller than pin head nicks thought. It has clean even crazing. This is very hard to photograph. I never noticed how this sparkles in any light. It may look like there is damage where there is not. Please look at all the photos to judge condition. Please use the photos as part of the description. Maker: I do not know the maker. I have not examined the back of the tiles. Age: One side or the other of 1900. I purchased this 30 years ago and have had it hanging in my house ever since. It turns out that my wife really does not like it so it must go. This came out of a clothing store and was framed in the 50s. I have removed this from the frame that will not be included. It really deserves a proper matt and frame. This is currently mounted on a thin stable plywood panel measuring 22 ¼” square. I have not tried to remove the tiles. The white spots on the outside edge of the plywood panel are remnant of shims for the old matt. This is ready to reframe and enjoy. If you do not like this for any reason just send it back. Auction description A beautiful painting. Mid-17th century in my view, of a little duck amidst vegetation. The style is imitative of Chinese porcelain, but this is a Delft tile or plate acquired in the Netherlands a few years ago. These bird subjects are highly prized. It's mounted into a wooden box. Which indicates that its state of conservation is fragmentary. The central medallion, however, shows very well and is a genuine source of delight. I see a couple of small areas of repainting and some surface grime, but the image overall makes a very appealing effect. Original 17th century art for a trifling price! Antique Delft Tile Man Eating Fish (?)
I got this from an estate sale. I am not an expert whatsoever. However. After doing some research on this tile, I do believe it is an Antique Delft Tile. It was framed in this beautiful old wooden frame. My husband thought the frame was"old looking" and decided to take it out of the frame. The frame was"old looking"because it WAS OLD. Oh, needless to say, I wasn't happy when I saw what he did. Anyway, it is an absolutely beautiful tile. I hope someone out there would like to add this to their collection.

Offered a nice old delft tile depicting two victorian children at play. The tile is about 5" square and about 3/8" thick. It is in very nice condition. I don't think it has been used. I purchased it out of an estate along with another one that I have listed. The other one has been used and has some damage. I assume that they are the same age. Up for your consideration is this lot of rare salvaged Victorian 1880's fireplace tiles. They have a textured mottled finish in different shades of green with browns and gold's. All are marked on the back with the symbols for the International Tile Company from Brooklyn. New York, 1883-1891. The tiles were found in a wooden box in an out building of a farm house in Morganville, New Jersey. There are 24 tiles that measure 3 by 3 inches; there are 47 tiles that measure 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches; and there are 4 tiles that measure 2 1/4 by 2 1/4 inches. One of which is a rosette. They are each about 1/2 of an inch thick. Overall, they are in good condition with some edge chips on a couple and grout on the edges of some. The International Tile Company was actually formed in 1883 by sons of Irish and British nobility who brought all of the ... moreequipment and tile artisans over. They later sold it to an American coffee company who ran it until it closed in about 1891. The building was then used by the Vitrified Tile Company. Signed Wall Plaque Art Tile Fat Lava Courting Horses Stadler Mid Century Modern
This listing is for a wonderful Mod Century Art Tile Wall Hanging. It measures 14" tall by 14" wide. It depicts a pair of courting horses. The stallion hovers over and the mare looking back at him. The black and white glazing is quite interesting. The art was drawn in the thick frothy white over glaze. The piece is signed on the lower left although I can not make out what the name is. On the back it bears an impressed makers mark and an original retailers label from Stadlers in Switzerland. This is a very striking piece that screams of the 1960 period of europena art pottery. While I couldn't find the makers mark in my research. I suspect it is West German.

For your consideration. A really cool picture frame. Frame is all tin(metal) with tiles inlaid as a border. The tiles are blue and white Talavera style. I believe this to be a modern(in the last 30 years) picture frame that was produced and distressed to look old. There are no markings. It is in the Mission style but would fit an Arts and Crafts setting as well. View the pictures thoroughly and draw your own conclusion as to the age.I might be wrong in my assessment. Fantastic Arts& Crafts Cabinet With Minton's China Tiles depicting Aesop's Fables The details on the doors suggest this may have been made by Kimbel and Cabus. Given the use of Minton's tiles, the decorative flat hinges, and there is a paper label on the back with a New York address(but most of the writing is obscured) It is also possible this was made by another NY firm that was influenced by K&C, since this probably dates to the 1890s, maybe even up to 1910, which would have been at the end, or past the end of the Kimbel and Cabus business. Another possibility is that the doors were repurposed from an earlier K&C cabinet and this was made by someone else, circa 1900 and it was built around the doors. The keyholes do not have an actual lock and there is no sign of a lock ever on the doors. The patina matches on all ... moreof the wood. Overall good condition with great old patina and and lots of wear to the wood. A few of the teeth across the front are chipped off. This has a castle-dungeon look and while the roughness is part of the style, it still needs a good cleaning. The hinges are fine and custom-made, not hardware store stock. There is an old, partially obscured paper label on the back with a New York address.
