Leg spread at the toes is 17"17 1/2" Height is 15 1/4" Table top is 13 1/8" x 13 1/8" Tile is bordered with heavy iron around the perimeter and also a sheet of iron on the underside. Tiles are tight and not chipped or cracked but do show some age crazing. Iron could use a fresh coat of rustoleum paint. Weighs over 12 lbs before packing but will incur even more dimensional weight due to the large box needed to cover that leg spread. Beautiful, Very Rare Hamilton Ohio Tile, Playful Cherubs, Dog, 12 by 6 Inch
A beautiful and rare Hamilton Tile Works pottery tile with a playful scene of cherubs and a large dog. One cherub is riding the reluctant dog while two are pushing him from behind. And two are pulling him with a rope from the front, while a couple of others can barely be seen in the background. One who is pulling him looks to be a faun, with goat legs. The back says"Hamilton Tile Works Co. Hamilton Ohio. This fascinating tile is 12 inches long; 6 inches wide and about 5/8 inch thick. It has a few tiny flakes in the glaze- on the edge and on one cherub's lower leg and foot(see photos) The tile is from the late 1800s. Hamilton Tile Works was in business 1883-1901. 1996 Pewabic Ceramic Tile - Green Glazed "Museum Trustee Association".
Pewabic Pottery was founded by Mary Chase Perry Stratton in 1903 in Detroit. Michigan. The company made many types of art pottery, including pieces with matte green glaze and an iridescent crystalline glaze. By 1911, Pewabic Pottery was using its famous Persian or Egyptian blue glaze. The company continued working until the death of Mary Stratton in 1961. It was reactivated by Michigan State University in 1968. For your consideration is a terrific Pewabic"Museum Trustee Association" ceramic/pottery tile in green glaze. It measures approximately 4" x 4" x 1" The Pewabic stamp on the bottom is clean and is dated 1996. The maker's mark is distinct and clear stamped in the bottom. 1940's Orange Flowers on Tile Kitchen Vintage Wallpaper
This roll of vintage wallpaper has orange flowers on a white tile background. If you look closely in the last photo you can see there is some water damage. But it seems to be in the trim edge and shouldn't affect the roll at all. The width of the roll is 18 inches and measures 13 yards in length.
