The crock measures about 9" tall and has a diameter of about 9 1/2" The crock is in EXCELLENT ANTIQUE CONDITION with NO cracks or hairlines. Butter Crock With Lid Stoneware Antique Mottled Color
This is one of the coolest butter crocks I have ever seen. And it comes with the original lid. The mottled coloring is a very nice touch. Looks English? At 3" tall x 4" widest its the perfect collectable size. People will want to know what this piece is. That's great conversation. The little crock is old and well used. The original vase color isn't yellow it's white. Butter has been kept in this crock for so long that the butter color has seeped under the glaze thru original glaze skips and crazing. The top of the lid is still fairly white but yellowed on the edges and bottom where the butter made contact for years. The bottom of the inside has crazing and glaze skips. That have turned black due to years of use, and then years of no use. The bottom of the butter crock shows where more of the butter has absorbed thru ... moreglaze skips and crazing. These are great for conversation starting. Collecting, or giving as gifts. Great for home, office, farm, cabin, or beach house. Good luck. Also. It has a rich, dark brown glossy glaze with a silvery/green iridescence. The 1st and 2nd photos are the closest in color to the actual. The shot of the interior is not as dark as my photo. It is not marked. Size: 7 1/8"d X 5"h- approx. dimensions Quantity: 1- Crock Condition: VERY GOOD- no cracks but there are couple. Shallow chips on the top lip. One is just inside the lip, and the other is on the outside. Neither are bad(1/4"d) and they just add to it's primitive appeal. There are many tiny scratches in both the exterior and interior from years of use. The glaze is fabulous and there are bubbles, glaze pops, skipped glaze, and flakes- all factory flaws. Antique Stoneware Ironstone Pot Crock With Lid Hand Painted Rose-Illegible Mark
Antique Ironstone/Stoneware Hand Painted Pot/Crock With Lid Illegible Maker's Mark- This is a nice old hand painted ironstone pot or covered container. With an illegible mark that I wish someone could help me identify. I've looked through every antique pottery mark I could find. But couldn't find this one. It appears to be written in English because one of the words in the center circle is clearly'ware' The pot is 4 1/2" tall and 6" to the top of the lid handle when the lid is on. It is 5 3/4" in diameter at the widest opening and the lid is 5 1/8" in diameter. The rose motif is clearly hand painted with a pearly. Iridescent glaze over it. Some of the areas at the bottom of the circles with the roses have a purplish hue. CONDITION It's in very nice condition for its age with some discoloration around ... morethe inside lip that isn't protected by the glaze.this is of both the pot and lid. There are a couple of minor chips. Or crazing under the pot. There are minor white spots on the lid handle. I'll say now that I believe it's ironstone. But it may be stoneware. Ruckel's stoneware 10 gallon crock with bales-excellent condition
This is a Ruckel's Stoneware 10 gallon crock in extra good condition. I have a Western Stoneware 12 gallon crock that looks small sitting next to this 10 gallon Ruckel's. In comparing it with the Western crock. It would look more like a 16 or 18 gallon size. The glaze is nice and shiny and the original bales are like new. No cracks anywhere- one small chip on bottom back side. It's 18 1/2" tall and 16 1/2" wide-not including bales. Weighs over 40 lbs so shipping will be kind of high. This one will be worth it, though. Antique 6 Gallon Stoneware Crock, F. Woodworth Burlington VT.
Up for auction is a very nice F. Woodworth. Burlington VT. antique 6 gallon crock. The crock is in very good condition, with 1 chip on the very back rim of the crock(see Photo# 5& 6) The Chip is 1 inch long at its widest point and is not noticeable when the crock is being displayed. There is another small chip that I believe happened during the firing 140 years ago, this chip has the original glaze over it. I can't find any other cracks or chips at all. The blue design is of a stylized flower, very nice dark color. I believe that the crock dates back to the 1870's or 1880's. The crock is very heavy weighing in at just under 23 pounds, it stands 13 1/2" tall and 13 1/2" across the top. 1850s WISCONSIN STONEWARE CROCK PROBABLY HERMANN OR BALCHELDER
From what I've been able to find out this is a 1850s stoneware pottery crock from WI made by Charles Hermann in Milwaukee or C. Bachelder in Menasha. The jar is 2 gallons and in near perfect condition.only a little rub and kiln blemishes. The thick heavy cobalt flowers are like blobs. I found only one Hermann piece like this and a similar Bachelder crock. Both makers hard hard finds for the earlier pieces. It measures 11 1/2" tall.6 1/2" dia. at the mouths other rim and 6" on the base. Take a good close look and decide for yourself and add it to your collection.you might not get another chance at one. Small Stoneware Crock, Repaired Cover
Small Stoneware Crock with damaged lid. Damage to lid is an area that has been chipped but repaired. There is still a small missing piece at the chip that should be visible in the close-up photos of the lid. It was repaired before I bought it. There are no other major defects to either piece. There are some small air bubble marks but that's pretty common with the older stoneware pieces. No markings on either piece to identify the manufacturer. Crock is just under 6" tall and is just over 6" wide without the lid. With the lid. It's just about 7 1/2" tall. I think this is a half gallon crock but it could be a 1 gallon. Vintage Or Antique 7" Dark Brown Glazed Stoneware Crock-Wide Mouth-No Lid
This dark brown vintage/antique glazed stoneware crock has an interesting shape. Different from most. It stands 7” high. Is 5 7/8” across the bottom and 4 1/2” across at the top opening. It is in very good condition. There is one small chip at the base. Almost invisible unless turned upside down. There is an interesting effect on one side where it looks like the glazing was applied unevenly. With some of the stoneware surface still showing through. There is no lid.

Rare blue and white stoneware salt crock with raised CHERRIES pattern. Fantastic early century stoneware pottery crock. Highly collectible blue and white. No lid. Excellent condition. No hairlines and ultra clean. Only has a one minor nick along the top rim edge. The white area around the hole that allows it to hang against the wall is factory with some blue glazing showing through. Typical stoneware manufacturing glaze pops and flaws.
