This is a nice antique early 20th century Art Deco period Thomas Francois Cartier signed spelter snarling panther on rocks sculpture clock on a marble base. Both the rocks and sculpture are spelter. In pretty nice shape as the pics show with some minor wear/ losses to the patina on the top from age and being touched and it comes exactly as shown and is in working condition. The base measures 12 3/4" x 5" it is 11 3/4" tall and it is 17 1/4" at the longest/ widest point. Antique Gilt Ormolu Spelter Figural Roman Mantle Clock Case For Restoration
Up for auction is this interesting antique gilt ormolu spelter figural mantel clock case. The figure appears to be a Roman God or Goddess wearing a cloth dressing like the Romans did with flowering leafy vines going up the arms to the arch. This auction is the case only as the original clock is no longer with it. I am not positive but there may have been more to the piece when it was original. On either side of the arch there is what appears to be possible candle holders but there may have been something else there originally but maybe not. The piece is being sold as is with tlc needed. Antique Spelter Indian And Dog Figurine Signed NMS N.Y. No. 681 (Nicolas Muller)
Signed on underside NMS NY No 681. This approx. 18" classical style Indian with dog piece is made by Nicholas Muller's Sons which produced clocks and statues from 1850-1899, first in the name of the father than the sons. I googled the piece and found one attached to a clock with 2 other pieces in a mantle set that sold for $7800. It is spelter plated with imitation bronze in a grayish finish. ANTIQUE SPELTER WHITE METAL ORNATE HANGING LIGHT VINTAGE NEEDS PRISMS CHANDELIER A lovely. Vintage, spelter or white metal chandelier with a gold finish and a gothic look. There is a steel support on the inside of each of the 8 panels, an ornate white metal ceiling cap, a steel piece that the chains hang from, a steel cross bar that the sockets are attached to, and it hangs from 4 ornate steel chains. It has three light sockets in the middle that turn on or off independently. There are tiny holes all the way around the perimeter where prisms originally would hang from. There is also a hook on each of the four(flat) sides(probably a large prism was hanging there) Also, there is a metal ring around the outside of the sockets that connects to the sides, see photo(probably something would hang from that too) This unusual chandelier measures approximately ... more14 1/2" across x 14 1/4" across x 4" high on the sides x 34" long(from the top of the ceiling cap down to the bottom of the middle socket(hangs a little below the sides) The condition is good with no apparent breaks to the metal parts. It definitely needs to be rewired because I tried to connect it to a plug and it blew a breaker. There are some bends to the scalloped trim, where the prisms go, but I'm sure they will bend back. There is some where to the gold finish but it still looks very good. This will be a beautiful old Chandelier when it is complete! Being offered as is and with No Reserve. ANTIQUE SPELTER DECO / NOUVEAU NUDE MERMAID NYMPH LAMP
This sale is for a beautiful antique art nouveau spelter mermaid nymph lamp. It measures approx. 18" tall to the top of the shade and the wooden base is 6" across. The lady is probably more of a sea nymph than a mermaid since she has fins on both legs. I estimate it to be around 1910-20. It has a Czech shade but the shade has a chunk out of the rim and has the tip broken off one of its points but still displays beautifully. The wiring looks newer than the lamp and it probably had a pull cord at one time since there is a hole in the shade holder to accommodate it. I think the switch at the back was added later. For the sake of accuracy there is one small hole in the bottom rim on the base as seen in pic# 5. It works well but as with all older lamps. The wiring should be checked.

Circa 1870s spelter metal horse and roman figure statue HUGE
HUGE spelter statue- base has been recently repaired to a professional standard having sustained some damage about 50 years ago or earlier. The detail is amazing. Size- approx width is 15 inches and height is 18 1/2 inches- it's HUGE but okay size still for a city apartment which is where it is. Weight- approx 7.3kgs The base in my opinion is the original base which is wood and then the statue is made of spelter metal. It will take me about 1.5weeks to source a box big enough to post it- I presume it can be posted. Unfortunately I'll have to charge for bubble wrap as I have run out. Here is an antique figural spelter cast Bird pin cushion. It has several old flower stick pins in it. There is a little hole at the back of the head. It looks like this is where it was filled with filler to support the pin cushion section. It's almost like sawdust or crushed leaves/wood. It still retains almost all of it's original brass coloring. The pin cushion fabric looks to have been originally a purple color but is now faded/stained. It measures about 2 3/4" tall. Shipping is available Monday-Friday. Up for auction is a gorgeous antique late 1800's-early 1900's Art Nouveau table figural table lamp restored and rewired ready to use. This is a beautiful example of the Ant Nouveau spetler lamps. Turned wood base has been refinished deep mahogany. The old finish has been carefully removed and refinished in a matte light gold/bronze. The old original cloth wiring has been carefully removed and rewired to all three gorgeous brass flower sockets. This is an over-the-top decor light for a high end Victorian home. Vintage Pair spelter Deco Egyptian Revival Woman Basket lamp Glass Frame Shade
From original owner comes a pair of Egyptian Revival spelter metal lamps. A matching pair. Cast metal with a coppery bronze finish. A kneeling woman holding a basket on her head. These are in original condition with the exception of the wiring(were rewired in the 70's and a switch on the back base added) and the glass inserts in the shade. Per the owner the original glass inserts(long broken) were an reverse painted opaque glass and cut pointed on both the top and the bottom. He had this textured amber glass cut for replacement purposes. There are extra(spare) cut glass panels that will come to along with the lamps. These lamps belonged to his mother and he inherited them in approximately 1949. Lamps date to the 20's or 30's. They stand 16" tall and the metal frame shade is just about 4" wide. The figure is mounted on a turned wood base; as a whole the piece measures 17 inches or 43 cm high. A Rare Tall Austrian Gilt-Spelter'Fantastique Dancer' Lamp. By Josef Lorenzl, with the period frosted cut-glass shade, created circa 1930. Josef Lorenzl was one of the most famous and prolific sculptors of the Art deco period. He produced figurative pieces in both bronze. Spelter and porcelain, where he worked along side Stephan Dakon in the famous Austrian Goldscheider factory. His pieces depicted the style and elegance of the period, where his ladies with their slim elongated, almost boy-like features found fame throughout Europe and the world. His sense of oppulence and sexual liberation, reflected the revolution in society of the roaring nineteen-twenties and thirties! This period lamp. Designed by Lorenzl, is cast in cold-painted gilt-spelter, with varieing hues of coppery-browns and silver high-lights throughout. It depicts ... morea Ballet Russe dancer, striking a dynamic pose on tip toes, holding a classical urn above her head, that becomes the gallery for the lamp and shade. Her dress shows the revolution in moderne-costumes that found fame through the Ballet Russe at the time in Europe, where her slim elongated figure is pure Lorenzl, with almost boy-like features to her sculpting. She stands atop a tiered geometric square pedestal base, to which she is seperatly bolted. All is in lovely original condition, with the cold-painted finish as fresh as the day it was created, showing the subtle hues throughout. The vintage frozen-iced cut-glass shade diffuses the light beautifully, and sits snuggly into the elaborate fluted-urn gallery and is free from any chips etc. All is free from any breaks or damage, remarkable for the lamps age as spelter is such a fragile metal. Item Photos, Item Photos, DETAILS Vintage French Clock Statue Bronze with Marble Base Cherub playing the Harp with Woman Horlogerie J Made in Paris France This listing is for a beautiful vintage French statue clock. This is a really amazing piece that we think dates back to the beginning of the 1900's. The clock is housed in a solid bronze statue that features a cherub playing the harp and a woman looking down upon him. The base of the clock is marble with a red/pink and white swirl pattern. This is an absolutely beautiful piece with ornate decorations typical of the French style at the time. This piece comes with the key and the chime bell. The back of the bronze statue is marked"Made in France" and the back of the clock movement is marked"Horlogerie J Paris" and has a"Marquee Deposee" trademark. As well ... moreas the number"6867" stamped into the movement. We couldn't find any other marks that indicate exactly where or when this was made. This is an absolutely stunning piece that would make a great addition to any collection, and will add a real touch of class to any mantle piece! Condition: This piece is vintage and used with some wear but the springs are in great shape. When the clock is wound it goes for a short period before stopping. There is no pendulum included which it needs to keep going and the chime bell needs a nut to keep it screwed into place. There is some light wear and tarnishing to the bronze. Which is typical of bronze this age. There is some light wear to the marble base, mostly at the corners where the is a bit of wear. The bottom of this piece looks like it was repaired at some point in its history. Please look closely at the photos for condition details and ask us any questions before bidding. Bookends, dating from the Art Deco period in France(1930's) Very nice achievement by Henri Moreau(1869- 1943) Elephants in spelter are set on a white/ cream veined marble. Together they form a bookends. Authentic with their original patina and preserved in their"own juice" It lacks their bakelite elephant tusks. This lamp is missing the nameplate from the front. There is a stamp on the rear of the lamp posts that says"Paris. Pair ANTIQUE ART DECO 1920's Flapper Era Spelter LADY BOOKENDS Statue Ladies
A Pair of 1920's Art Deco Flapper Ladies Bookends in Flapper Dresses with headbands and bare feet. They are quite heavy being made of metal. Possibly spelter we believe, a white metal, weighing almost 4 pounds each. Each one is Signed on the back with the number 500 and measure about 7" tall by 5" wide by 4" deep. They look to have their Original gold paint. With some loss from scuffs/scrapes and wear from age which we believe adds to their Vintage charm! There looks to be no breaks in the metal work, a few nicks in the edges here and there and their noses are a wee bit flattened, probably where they have been knocked over on them we assume. Pair Of French Art Deco Spelter Book-ends In The Form Of Horses On Marble Bases
This is a lovely pair of Art Deco spelter horses mounted on black marble(or similar) bases. Which I discovered recently at a flea-market in northern France. They display well as they are, but(in case you want a practical use for them) they were probably originally designed to be used as a pair of book-ends. There is a little gentle scratching to one of the bases and a very small chip to one corner of the same base. This hardly detracts, but I felt it worth mentioning, and otherwise, they are in very good pre-owned condition. Up for auction is this rare antique Art Nouveau large spelter vase. Exceptional artistry with a beautiful woman surround by foliage and flowers. The three dimensional flowers were applied by threaded rods and nuts. Original paint in flat black and gold with a bronzey-brown undercoat. The shortened right arm we believe was intentionally designed by the artist. Judging from the classic design and purposeful stippling underneath. Just exquisite, with the proper age with wear. As it is such a rare piece, we thought it would be signed, but we could not find an artist signature. We have here a Lovely Vintage Pair of Spelter Pink Marble Base Urns. They measure 15 1/4" tall. 5 3/4" wide at the base, 6 3/4" wide at the handles. The base is a lovely pink swirl marble with white and gray. The urns are very decorative with beads around the base.Designs, and scales. The bodice has swag bows with a summer hat and what looks like a bag pipe. Old Man Forest is under each handle with floral ivy wrapping around the handle. There is a drapery swag around the top. These would make a beautiful pair of urns. With a snug cover. In them is a metal cup that fits nicely. I think its for a candlestick, however there is no remnants of wax at all. It is unmarked. And was most likely made in the 1940's- 1950's or thereabout, in the USA or Japan. It resembles a Hound, Pointer, or Hunting dog. It is too small to be used as a paperweight. In good. Used condition, clean and smoke-odor free. No breaks or repairs. There are some mold mark lines. Three of the four feet have deliberate bottom holes(figurine is at least partially hollow) Surface has patina, but we did not notice any finish loss. The lady is holding a box above her knee and is examining a small round object from the box in her other hand. It stands approx. 7" tall and is 7" across the front by 3 1/2" wide. The back is marked in raised lettering: AM WRG Co. NY. I think this would date back into the Victorian era, circa late 1800's through early 1900's era.
