This is a beautiful Vintage SHERIDAN SILVER OVER COPPER SAMOVAR. COFFEE, TEA, OR HOT WATER URN. I usually used it at holidays for hot water for tea, cocoa or other hot drinks. I found this lovely piece at an estate sale and it is in excellent condition. The inside is oxidized as well as underneath where the burner goes. It was missing the burner when I bought it but can easily be replaced. I used a glass votive dish that fit underneath with tea candles to keep it hot. The only problem I have found, which is very minor, is on the inside of the lid. If you look really close, you can see a small dent in the inside rim that doesn't show. It may have a few minor scratches but can probably be polished out. I did a quick clean on it for pics but will do more cleaning before shipping. Everything works perfectly. Very Unusual Garanti Samovar - Brass Plated - Primitive Looking - Has Birds
Very Unusual Garanti Samovar stands almost 30" tall. Please note that most of the bells are missing off this. There are only 3 left on the towers. There are many holes(40+) where bells originally hung. All 3 birds have bells hanging from their beaks. All 3 birds are slightly different in size and shape. Two of the birds have a hole in each wing for yet another bell. I don't know anything about the history of this piece. I bought it at an auction many years ago because I thought it was cool and it has been in my attic ever since. Across the front. You can see 4 circles, all 4 say"Garanti Samover" inside the circle. In a way. Much of it looks very primitive. I don't know if it is extremely old or if someone added to it over the years. I am working with a new camera and still don't have it adjusted quite right; some ... moreof the pictures look like this samovar is copper. But it is actually brass plated. EGYPTIAN REVIVAL Silver Plate SAMOVAR Tea Urn Coffee Server Sphinx Arab Crescent
I have up for sale an absolutely wonderful vintage. To the best of my knowledge early 19th Century, unsigned but attributed to Sheffield Plate or atleast British in origin, Egyptian Revival Samovar Tea Urn. This is not an area of personal expertise but from the ornamental designs and item type, I believe that the urn would date from approx 1800- 1815, probably closer to 1815 due to the amount of ornamentation. I did some research on this and similar examples were from approx 1815 as the amount of decoration increased, shortly after this the style changed, no longer having the ball feet and long slender legs.It may date as to as far as 1850 but I believe it is earlier. The Arab Crescent is representative of the Ottoman Empire and the other design features consistent with Silver of the 19th Century. I would appreciate any input from those more ... moreknowledgeable. There are no manufacturer markings that I can see. The only marking is the word Patent which is located on the front of the spigot. Recently I read an article written specifically about Tea Urns in Sheffield Plate, by Gianmarco Baldini of the ASCAS Association of Collectors of Antique Silver, in the article a very similar urn was pictured- dated to 1810- also noted was that he said that Old Sheffield Plate was never marked. The interior is not lined and there is no heating device. This urn is very early. Made prior to the time when a burner was used for the heat. The majority of tea urns were made with no apparatus for keeping the contents hot. The idea was to heat a piece of iron and insert it in a small container fitted to the inside of the urn. In later version the tea urn was fitted with an internal cylinder for the charcoal. The Urn stands approx 17" to the top of the Crescent Finial. Approx 11" across the Ring Pull Handles, approx 13" from back to front spigot. Te approximate weight is 11 lbs. The sphinx figure on the bottom section is bolted into place from the underside. Vintage Silver Plated Samovar, Tea Urn, Beautiful, Classic, Resplendent, Tea
This gorgeous silver plated samovar is sure to attract attention! Works great as a vessel for serving liquids or as a display piece. No mark but Im pretty sure its Sheffield. Comes with lid and burner. The burner is filled with a liquid that is used to ignite the wick and then heat the samovar. A screw knob lowers and raises the wick depending on how hot the water needs to be. This samovar has very few noticeable flaws. The burner looks a little tarnished and could probably use a new wick. And the vent holes near the bottom have some soot build up. There is only a tiny ding where the spicket hits the pot. Aside from these minor flaws the samovar looks and functions very well. These are often hard to find in such good condition!

The urn is stamped on its base with the following– E9169 and has patents from 1912- 1914. It is a large percolating type urn with a 12 cup capacity. This is a great art deco piece made of Nickel over I believe solid copper with what look like bakelite handles and spout knob. The inside of this 12 cup urn is clean with a patina typical for a 100 year old ... morepercolator that has seen little use and all the original internal parts come with it. All parts are in perfect working order. And I am including a modern replacement cord to be on the safe side. The finish has a vintage patina to it and it polishes up nicely but does have some minor surface pitting that can be seen. None of which is deep. I tested the urn and it worked perfectly. Here we have what I THINK? is a vintage copper Samovar or a urn for tea/hot water. I do not think it is complete I think there is part of the spout missing( the part you would turn to get the water out) and also I am sure there was something on the top. A magnet does NOT stick to this. It looks to be copper or brass? I am not sure. This measures about 11 1/2" tall and about 8" from handle to handle. I do not know if this was just for decoration? Item: Russian Imperial(c1832-c1882) Samovar. Complete with Tray and Cup Ladies and Gentlemen. I am happy to offer for sale this very rare(c1832-c1882) Imperial Russian Samovar. It was given to me when I left Sakhalin Island working for Shell& Sakhalin Energy. It originated from deepest Siberia from a town called Salym. It was then taken via Moscow internally and flown 10.75hrs to Sakhalin. Where it was presented to me on my departure. It is only through recent research that I have come to realise that this piece(dated between c1832-c1882 with makers stamps) is indeed very old and rare. I do not want it to deteriorate or get damaged and would rather someone else have chance to own it, either a private collector, museum, private family etc. who would appreciate its beauty and age. This is a fantastic circa 1927 Cambridge etch#710 Vaseline yellow glass large samovar. It is unclear who made the glass blank as both Paden city and Cambridge etches have appeared on it. The condition of the glass and spout are excellent for age. The rim is rough ground and has a few typical grinding flakes/chips. It has one large one that can be seen in the last picture. It appear to be factory made and is smooth to the touch and fire polished. The samovar holds water without any leakage and the spout is fully functional. A rarity for these old dispensers. The handle turns completely to both sides and center easily, There is some rust where the spout meets the glass and on the inside around the bolt area. The metal is intact except one foot that needs to be professionally cleaned and reattached. The metal has an aged patina and wear. This lovely automatic/electric 3 heavy-footed percolator/coffee maker features an URN/SAMOVAR style design. The center features a horizontal scroll pattern. It has a dome lid which has 3 air-holes. Heavy glass window on top, aluminium filter and lid, aluminium tube with porcelain piece. The pot has 2 hinged handles with black ridged Bakelite centerpiece. The ... morefaucet-style spout in the front has a black Bakelite handle for insulation. The back has the 2-prong connector where the original electric cord plugs into. The cord is 72" long. THIS BEAUTIFUL. DECORATIVE PIECE IS IN EXCELLENT WORKING CONDITION. I brewed coffee in it and it is just lovely and great tasting! The thermostat works properly. It shuts off when the coffee is made and stops percolating. The coffee stays hot as long as it is plugged in. This is a fine. Sturdy piece, in excellent, gently used condition. Please see the pictures. The chrome is excellent. No dents nor damage, the glass window on top is excellent, the handles are excellent, the spout works perfectly and after pouring the coffee shuts off when the handle is moved to the right. Vintage Old Dutch Toleware Hand Painted Pewter Samovar Tea Urn Compl w Burner NR
Up for auction is a hand painted pewter samovar/ tea urn. A beautiful Dutch folk art piece. The painting is a nicely detailed rural scene with a mill and farmhouse on a shaded background that goes from red to black. The tea urn is complete with the brass openwork under tray and brass burner. The tea urn has three legs with wooden ball feet and has a swan faucet handle. It is embossed on the bottom: Peltrato and has a mark of an angel. It measures 16 inches high including tray and lid, the samovar is approx. 6 inches wide at its widest point. Condition: it is old and does have overall paint wear. I have included many pictures to give you an idea of style and condition. The scene is still clear. No dents. The end of the swan’s beak is missing. Still a nice display piece, a nice piece of folk art! Please note: these were made for display. Not ... moreuse. This is a no reserve auction so happy bidding.
