ANTIQUE REVERSE PAINTED FRENCH CHINOSERIE FIGURAL LAMP OPALINE GLASS SHADE 37"
We are pleased to offer this exquisite. Antique lamp. This grand lamp(37" with shade attached) features an ornate, bronzed spelter frame with intricate details. The base of the frame has ornamental urns with bellflower swags. There are geometric circles for contrast. The lamp base houses 4, bent, ribbed glass panels which are reverse painted in a rose or chrysanthemum motif. The base is lighted separately(functions independently) from the top of the lamp and operates with one standard bulb and a pull chain on/off switch. The center section of the lamp features 3 large figural putti. This trio act as the weight bearers for the large glass lamp shade. The opaline glass shade is a light tan color on the exterior and white on the interior. The glass is fairly thick and features a deeply swirled pattern. It sits into the ornate lamp fitter ... morewhich features a pattern of acanthus and shells. The top section also utilizes a single, regular bulb and also operates with its own pull chain on/off switch. This is a beautiful lamp. Neither the frame nor the glass is marked or signed. It has strong French characteristics with a chinoserie style. It is in very good condition with very little evidence of age or use. There is a general aged patina to the frame. But no rust or broken sections. The glass pieces are in very good condition with wear limited to the fitter sections of the glass. The wiring is vintage but has been updated at some point. The lamp is working beautifully. The lamp is 29" tall without the shade attached and is 37" tall with the shade in place. Antique Reverse Painted Moe Bridges Table Boudoir Lamp Handel Pittsburgh Era
Up for auction I have this beautiful Moe Bridges reverse painted boudoir lamp. The base is nickel or silver painted with blue enamel painted art deco motifs. There are 2 hairline cracks on the bottom edge of the base both are sound and stable. Not really noticeable unless your looking for them(shown in pics 5& 6) This is a Uncommon base the finish is in exceptional condition for its age, there is only some wear here and there. The shade has a really nice chipped ice finish. The scene features trees, bushes, mountains and water. There are no cracks in the shade, but there are a few tiny flea bites to the shade rim and a little paint by the fitter. The heat cap has some tarnishing to the finish as well. In total the lamp stands 13.5 inches tall, and the shade is 7.25 inches in diameter, its signed under the base as pictured. This reverse painted hanging glass globe shade is 7 inches in diameter with a 4 inch diameter fitter ring. Decorated on two sides with a parrot sitting on a leafy branch against a pale yellow background. This shade has been cleaned with a mild soap solution. There are small rust color specks in the glass on one side to the left of the parrot and above the branch. Reverse Painted Glass Lamp Ceiling Shade Art Deco Period
Up for sale is this beautifully reverse painted glass shade. That would have likely been hung from a ceiling fixture. The floral pattern is molded or embossed in the glass and hand painted. The rim has some flea bite like chips, but there are none to the rest of the shade. In the photos I show where there are some brownish lines on the top, I don't know what caused these, they are on exterior and present in some other places as well. Vintage Art Deco Aladdin Gooseneck Lamp #50 w/ replaced Reverse Painted Shade
This Aladdin gooseneck lamp is not all original such as the cord and socket and probably the shade which is vintage but looks like it was meant for an oil lantern and was inserted into its holder upside down since the original bottom was too large(it is a little rough on the inside rim) and the upper part of the shade was used instead since it was smaller and was a decent fit. The base and gooseneck are in excellent condition although starting to lose a little finish. Under the base it is marked Aladdin Mfg. Co. Muncie Ind. No 50 and shows a little bit of rust which can easily be cleaned. If extended fully it measures 21" tall and the base is about 7.5" by 5.5" with a 5' cord. There is a 25W bulb in the socket and the lamp works fine. See scans of items to make your own grading determination. I am not a professional grader ... morejust an avid collector selling off a 30 year collection so watch for my other auctions. It measures 9" long(not including hanging finial) and 5.75" wide at the top sloping down to 3.5" wide at the bottom. It has a 3" fitter as measured from the interior with a lip for affixing screws. Screws are not included. No cracks or chips in glass but there is minor peeling/chipping of paint on interior. And also some minor areas of worn brass/bronze overlay, see all photos. This is one of two that was in the hallway ceiling of an older large home. Would work on a lamp also. Find no damage has patina from being old and will need soap and water. Approx 5 1/4" tall top opening diameter approx 2 1/8" outside rim. Bottom opening inside 6 1/4" diameter. Three frosted glass sconces each measuring nearly 5" tall. 4 3/4" wide, and 2 3/16" at the widest point of the tapered top. These do have some chipping at the bottom rim and some paint splatter( mostly just on one) The flower design appears to be painted on the inside of the sconce and the paint work appears to be in very good condition. A very beautiful-all original. Signed- reverse painted"Jefferson" lamp, c. 1920s. The globe on the lamp measures 16" across with a circumference of 49. The height of the lamp is 22. It still has the original cording so it will need to be rewired. The lamp is in very good condition, no cracks or nicks. The lamp is signed"Jefferson 2800" and also what appears to be the initial of"D. The Jefferson Lamp Company was formed in 1900 and was located in Steubenville, Ohio. The company moved to Follansbee, VA in it's seventh year. The J.L.Co. closed after thirty-three years of business.

It is unmarked, however I believe it is most likely Italian in origin and ca. 1950s. The socket had an older F type switch, which has been replaced with a new socket. Vintage Brass Lamp base for slag glass or reverse painted shade . Deco lamp
Here is a vintage brass lamp base for a slag glass or reverse painted shade in good working condition. All solid brass. There are some areas of darkening as you can see and a small crack in the cluster body that is shown in photo no.8. Other than that there appear to be no cracks or damage. It is 22 1/2" tall and the base is 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" with 9 1/8" being the widest measurement across the bottom. The weight is a little over 5 pounds. Sockets are marked Monowatt. They both have porcelain and brass interiors, work well and are wired to a vintage style plug with modern cord. Securely packaged and shipped insured for the winning bid amount within the USA only. This is a lovely embossed puffy reverse painted glass lampshade. The shade has a frosted Glass on the outside with flowers delicately painted along the inside bottom edge in colors of yellow petals. Orange centers and green leaves. Shade 5” high 6” bottom diameter 2 1/4” top fitter diameter The shade is in very good condition. The bottom edge is rough which seemsindicative to this design. Around the top there is a chip and I find a hairline crack on the interior. Once in place neither would show. See the Photo’s) A very pretty piece that would add a touch ofelegance to any lamp. This fantastic lamp has the one large lighthouse and then 2 lighthouse on the back side painted as if they are in the distance. Stands 18" Tall 8 1/2"across the widest part of the dome. Huge Vintage Italian Reverse painted Laced Bulb Art Glass Putti Table Lamp
This listing is for a Huge Vintage/ Antique Italian Brass and reverse painted glass/ Art Glass base Cherub/ Putti table lamp. The Glass bulb/ base is decorated with six lace rose flowers adhered on the inner side against a gold field. All on an off white/ beige ground. The exterior is also decorated with frosting look wreath designs applied to exterior which in first view seems to be raised enamel type paint or maybe even some type of lace material dipped in paint and applied to the exterior of each rose medallion. But upon examination under magnification looks to be glass that is over applied to the exterior of the surface. A star design of such also decorates around the neck of the glass base, and more such decorations in form of circles around the very base of the glass base. The metal base and adornments all seem to be of high quality ... morebrass. Maybe even Dore quality. The Putti/ Cherub around the neck is brass also but could be some brass painted metal. None of the metal except some of the hardware adheres to magnet. The mountings are also high quality cast brass 37 1/2 inches to the top of finial. base bulb diameter about 12 inches About 7 7/8 inches square at the very bottom of the brass base. Some paint flaking/ loss on the very top and very bottom of the glass base on the interior. This could be original and or loss due to passage of time. Either way. Its absolutely unnoticeable and not in view, with main glass body having excellent paint throughout, and what can be noticed really looks like it was done to look that way originally or did look that way originally. Please see the images. The top of the square base and the cylinder on top of the crown above the putti. Shows oxidation and could use cleaning. The rest of the brass parts display minor oxidation and decent patina. I will leave cleaning and polishing to the new owner. The glass globe is a hand blown one. No lamp shade is included. The bottom was covered at one point with felt and is open now. Felt could be easily added to cover the base.

This lamp belonged to my mother and is in beautiful condition. The lamp is 24" tall and measures 28" around the base. Lamp shade has 6 reverse painted curved glass panels. The shade is 8 1/2" tall and measures 57" around the widest part. Lamp base also lights up and has 4 reverse painted glass panels. All 3 lights are in working order. Lamp looks spectacular both lit and unlit. The glass shade is in beautiful shape with only a few flea bites along the bottom rim. The shade is mostly reverse painted but the is also some obverse painting. The small nicks can't be seen when the shade is in the 10" fitter. The base is also in great shape.
