For bid is an original 1904 St. Louis. Missouri“Louisiana Purchase Exposition” souvenir miniature pewter metal BEER STEIN that was made in Germany and features an image of the“CASCADE GARDENS” at the Exposition grounds in St. Louis. This is a fancy Edwardian era German drinking stein that stands about 5 inches from the base to the top of the finial. The lid opens as they do with the real steins. The maker’s information at the bottom has been scratched out for some reason. It used to say“D. R. PATENT/ Made in Germany/ 158585. Most of this is scratched out below the liquid area of the stein/ drinking cup. There are some signs of wear but no major problems. Super Rare - 6 Piece Ceramic and Pewter Cup Set With Original Case - Feinzinn
I DO NOT SHIP OUTSIDE THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES. This is a nice super rare Feinzinn set. Does come in original case. There are 2 white ceramic cups with silver trim around the top. On the bottom of each it says"MPA" They measure 2 and 1/4" high and 2 and 1/8" diameter. I see no cracks or chips. There are 2 pewter cup holders. They have an ornate design on the tops and the handles. On the bottom of each it says"Etain Fin 95% Fein Zinn" There is some dings on the outside of them. There are scratches on the inside of them from taking the ceramic cups in and out. This looks like normal wear. There are 2 pewter saucers that sit under the pewter holders. They have the same ornate design as the holders around the top edge. Both say on the bottom"Etain Fin 95% Fein Zinn" They measure 3 and 7/8" in ... morediameter. Very little scratches on the saucers. The original box is hard cardboard. The top and sides are covered in velvet striped grey material. Has gold latch. Inside there is a red ribbon that attaches to top and bottom. There is red silk material that the cups. Holders and saucers sit into. Under the lid is red velvet material with original sticker that says"95% Feinzinn, Etain fin 95% There is some damage to the outside of the box. When closed need to push top back so you can close the latch. This is a very nice set. Would make a great addition to any collection. I am not an expert or collector. Nice condition pewter teapot by Boardman and Hart from NY. Most likely made in CT as they had a sales office in NY. The Boardmans were a very successful pewter making family. This pot stands 8" tall to top of finial and is 3 5/8" wide at base. Wooden finial is missing. This pot was made between 1830-1850 and is in good shape. It could use a gentle polishing. Small dent on handle and there appears to be evidence of hammer marks where someone peened out some denting on the body. Still displays nicely. See pics and ask questions before buying/bidding. RARE Old heavy Repousse Pewter Plate with Crowned Hedgehog and Fleur de Lys pattern in background all around the plate. The pewter plate has both the European CROWN& ROSETTE Quality Mark plus the ANGEL. Commonly used as a Quality Mark in France and the European countries. The piece has some blemishes but is in beautiful condition for its age. The HEDGEHOG with CROWN was the personal emblem of Louis XII. This piece could have been part of the Royal household pewter plate of LOUIS XII when he occupied the Loire Valley. Louis XII became king in 1498 he moved the entire royal residence to the Chateau de Blois. This auction is for an antique/vintage metal head on a marble base. Possibly made from pewter but i am not sure. It is signed on the back of the neck which i have shown in one of the pictures. Antique English pewter half pint measure, marked
This antique measure has a very faded inscription on the front that seems to date it to May 15. 1811. It is very hard to read, and the rest is even more rubbed off over 200 years. There are two touch marks, one on either side of the handle: one is E R with a crown in the middle and one is WR under a crown. There are also the letters LCC and 239. Which I believe means the region. W R means it is made to the pre-imperial William III ale standard. ER is an enigma. May be William and Mary?The measure is quite heavy(I believe this one contains lead) and in good shape for its age. There are some marks on the rim and faint dings consistent with age. This measure came from a collector’s estate. With a note that said“18 th century. Antique Pewter Primitive Battery Candle Early Colonial Style Country Home Decor
I took and old antique pewter cup and filled it full of brown bendable pip berry twigs with red berries on it. In the center of the arrangement I have added a grungy brown battery operated primitive flicker taper candle. The candle takes 2 AA batteries. Batteries are not included. The cup has scratching and patina to it. It is marked Preisner Pewter 2142 on the bottom. I took some pictures of the cup before I decorated it to show you the condition and what it looks like. It measures approximately 7 inches tall with the candle in it and about 5 1/2 inches wide with the berries included in the measurement. This beautiful Pewter work of Art has an engraved Stamp on the backside sen in photo 3. Stamped with"SCARBOROUGH AND CO. INC. 1891. I looked it up on the internet and this company architects different designs for companies. This may very well be made in 1891. Unknown The design on this item is an interwoven vine with 3 roses on it. I do not know the significance. It weighs about 5 ounces. Make up of Pewter: Pewter is a malleable metal alloy. Traditionally 85–99% tin, with the remainder consisting of copper, antimony, bismuth and sometimes, less commonly today, lead. Silver is also sometimes used.
