Antique Staffordshire Transferware/Pearlware Teapot Early 1800's
This very early Staffordshire teapot has a scene of"Nesting Birds" on the sides of it. You can see the blue color pooling around the edges of the teapot. This indicates pearlware and was probably manufactured in 1820. This teapot has all the attributes of being made in the late 17th or early 18th century: the shape, style and intense stylized hand work are definitely old. The blue is a rich blue and the creamy ivory has a lovely glossy finish. There are no markings on the bottom. It measures approximately 9 1/2" by 5 1/2" by 5 1/2" I do not see any chips or cracks, it is in outstanding antique condition. It is such a delightful little picture of birds around their eggs in the nest. Truly a piece for the discerning collector.

I can always list an item you are interested in so just let me know! For sale is a superb figure of the tailor on his goat after a German original. This one here seems to be made of Pearlware or possibly Creamware and was made in the Staffordshire region in the 18th century. One of the nicest ones I have ever come across from this region! The tailor is sitting on his goat holding the horns with a basket of baby goats on his back. The goat has an iron in its mouth and the tailor has a pair of scissors on his coat as well as a pair of guns that I am ... morefairly sure was not on the original German edition. The base has some nicely modeled flowers on it as does the stump underneath the goat. All in all a superb and fun figurine! Not sure who exactly made this piece but it is of top quality! The figurine is about 8.25 inches tall. 4 inches wide and 6 inches long. The piece is in superb condition with the top of the scissors missing, a glaze chip to his coat, one of the guns has the barrel missing and the base has some chipping to the bottom edge most of which is likely original to the making! Old Antique Pink Lustre Pearlware Sauce Boat / Cream Pitcher Hand Painted Floral
Presented for your consideration this old antique pearlware cream pitcher or sauce boat. It has a white background with hand painted floral decoration and highlights in a pink lustre glaze. It measures 6-1/4" from handle to spout and stands 4-1/4" tall. It is in good condition for it's age. But not without character. There are no chips, I did find a very very light tight hairline under the spout approximately 1/4" away from the seam. There is obvious age discoloration especially on the handle, which make sense, it would have been touched there more than any other surface. It does have some light crazing as well. Please take a look at the photos as they describe the pitcher best. Most of the items we sell are estate finds. And are presented to you in, as is, as found condition. They are described to the best of our knowledge. ... moreSome wear is to be expected, unless described as flawless or mint. We can't know everything about every item we offer, so please take a good look at the photos and ask questions if need be. Thank you for looking! 0726

c 1785 Scarce Early Pearlware/Creamware Figurine of Putto on Plinth with Seashel
Well made. Early small pearlware/creamware figurines are hard to find. Over the past 40 years, I have only found a handful that were worth collecting. This is one of the better ones. It depicts a young boy(putto) holding a seashell to his ear. He stands 6⅝" tall and has a base about 1¾" square. The glaze has a blue/grey-ish hue. There are no markings, but the style and the plinth seem to indicate perhaps an attribution to the Woods family of Burslem, Staffordshire. The detail is quite remarkable and it is obvious that time, care and skill were used in making this beautiful piece. In overall very good condition, the figurine was once broken off at the feet and simply re-glued. Also, there is the loss of one fingertip on the left hand, and a microscopic piece missing from the tip of the front hair curl and the thumb of the left ... morehand. There are a few minor glaze skips and a small flake on one of the corners of the base. Please note that my close-ups over magnify the minor defects. Overall, it displays extermely well. This would be a wonderful addition to any collection. We will contact and invoice you shortly after the auction. We guarantee what we sell. Winning bidder pays actual postage and insurance. PayPal payment we ship the next day. Personal checks must clear first. Usually 7-10 days. Please acknowledge your winning bid within 3 days. Attractive Staffordshire or possibly Scottish pearlware POTATO FLASK, circa 1840
rhusrluk rhusrluk Antique pottery in good taste– harmic.little A delightful English pearlware pottery flask modeled in the shape of a knobby potato with cobalt blue'eyes' and a blue washed neck; Staffordshire or possibly Scottish. Circa 1840. These simple. Very tactile flasks were made using a two-part mold. Quite why they were designed to look like a potato is not clear but they presumably found favor in small rural communities where they would have been used as containers for gin or whisky or some other spirit. They would fit snugly in a small pocket if you were out shooting in the cold weather and would provide a welcome warmer for the hunter on long days in the countryside. The flask is 6 1/4 inches long and is in really excellent condition- no chips. Cracks or restoration. A great item to collect or display.
