It is not marked on the back but dates to the 1830's. There is light utensil wear to the well but it is otherwise in excellent condition. Octagonal, 3” across, 1/2" deep· 5 graduated platters. Octagonal, 2 each@ 3 1/2" and 4 1/4" 1@ 5 1/4" long· 2 covered tureens with lid and 1 under tray. 3 1/2" tall, 4" across top rim· 2 vegetable bases(no lids) 5” diameter· Gravy boat or sauce pitcher 2” tall. 3 1/2" long and· 1 undertray. Round handled, 5 1/2" round(chip on foot rim) Decorated with an overall floral chintz ... moremedley of tiny primrose vine and fuchsia flowers on a 10-panel form. The pattern is especially earthy and beautiful in garden green with wisps of red and blue. The decoration was elaborately designed with impeccable detailing for the diminutive size of the piece. The pattern name is unknown. The pieces are unmarked. The pattern is attributed to Charles Meigh in the Staffordshire district in England in the early to mid-19th century. The set is in great condition with only the minor issues mentioned above. No other chips. Cracks or repairs. Mild patina to a couple of pieces, the rest are clean. Stilt marks, glaze ponding and other minor manufacturing flaws, original to the making, adding to the authenticity and not detracting from the beauty. The design is elegant and striking and will make a wonderful display and a rare addition to any collection of childrens or miniature dolls elegant table wares, pocket sized works of art. I see remnants of old glaze that has yellowed and is flaking off where some of the repaint was done and where the repairs were oversprayed. I also see an old repair to a chip on the edge of the cape. These beautiful early pieces are in the sprig pattern is two shades of soft beige with two green incised bands on both the cup and saucer. They have age crazing and could definitely benefit from a good cleaning, but I will leave that decision up to the new owner. Pearlware Painted Brushstroke Tea Bowl Cup& Saucer Staffordshire England c. 1800 This striking cup and saucer was originally part of an early tea set made for the Pennsylvania market. The tall handleless cup stands 2 1/4" tall. And the saucer stands 1 1/2" tall along the outer rim and measures 5" across. The set is hand decorated with grisaille monochromatic brushwork in dark sepia brown on creamy earthenware, leafwork outlined in a lighter shade of olive brown and finished with pearlware glaze. A lovely whimsical example of late eighteenth and early nineteenth century folk art. The set was made in Staffordshire or possibly Leeds or Yorkshire in England. Typically. 800x600 Rare Miniature Historical Childs Dinner Set Plate QUEEN OF SHEBA Minton Staffordshire England c.1830 This is a very scarce dark blue historical toy pie plate or side dish c. 1830. Originally part of the complete dollhouse miniature dinner service. The tiny plate measures 2 3/4" in diameter with a hand cut scalloped rim, impeccably potted and finely transfer printed with pearlware glaze. According to Coysh and Henrywood. This tiny piece of Chinoiserie, with elements of gothic and classical design, depicts a Queen escorted by a blackamoor holding a parasol and 2 children holding her train. Doris Lechler, in her book‘English Toy China’ attributes the pattern to Spode. According to the Transferware Collectors Club and others, it would have been made by Minton. It dates to 1820-1830.
