Up for bid a beautiful unique huge white opaline embellished with gold flowers with pink minature flowers and gold garlands lamp. This lamp is inscribed on the top it says Carl Falkenstein Inc. Philadelphia apparently this company was operating from the early 1940s or 1950s to the 1960s. The lamp is dated but I can't see if it says 1966 or 1968 the previous owner owns an antique shop she tells me that the vaselike urn is european but it was converted to a lamp by this company that she knows it dates from the early 1940s. I know the lamp is quit beautiful it has crest like motifs they seemed they have erased with time but the gold embellished leaves and garlands are in great condition as well as the flowers. I took closeup pics so that you can see it. The lamp is huge it measures 32in to socket the harp measures 11in so it's probably ... moreabout 41 to 42in or so to the finial. The glass appears to be blown, as the stem is held in place by plaster of Paris. The box still has powder, and possibly the Original Swans Down puff. Puff is in good condition considering the age. Opalescent White Opaline Glass Box Waffle Cut Design Brass Fittings
Beautiful opalescent white opaline glass box featuring a waffle cut pattern and brass fittings. This lovely box opens and closes properly and evenly. During the manufacturing process the glass was cut to allow for a fitting that would include a lock but it was not finished in that manner. One image shows the notch. The box is in wonderful condition with a few bubbles and ripples in the glass pattern which appear to be part of the manufacturing process. Minor faint scratches on the bottom from moving the box on a surface. No chips. Cracks or repairs. The brass fittings have some age related patina and one minor scratch on one side. This waffle type of design is hard to find. Measurements: 3 5/8" long. 2 3/4" tall. 2 7/16" wide.

Collar and hinge are free from dents, splits or tears. The cap and collar are embossed with scrollwork. The collar has 2 rings where at one point this bottle had a chain and was probably hung from a chatelaine. The tiny glass stopper is present and also free from chips or cracks. Antique 19th Century Signed AHNE Bohemian hand painted glass Opaline Vases
Offering an Exquisite 19th Century pair of vases. Hand painted and hand enameled, signed by the well listed and celebrated Artist Josef Ahne(1830-1909) Ahne, a German/Bohemian artist specialized in figural decoration based on oil paintings done by Italian and German artists. He was recognized for his work at the world exposition in Vienna in 1873 and won a bronze medal in Paris, 1878. These vases measure 14 1/4 inches in height and 6 1/2 inches at widest point. These are Bohemian Opaline glass with a polished bottom. Each with a hand painted No. 2. These are exquisite hand painted scenic portraits of what appear to be Dutch? coastal scenes and signed by Artist"Ahne" to lower right. These are in wonderful condition for their age and are free of cracks or repairs. Flakes or any damage. The only flaw that I found was a tiny tiny chip ... moreto the inside of the rim of"one" vase and very slight wear to the gold gilt trim of each vase, along the rim and base. This is a fantastic antique late 19th century Victorian opaline hand-painted enameled jar or box. It is definitely French. The floral decorations are lovely and feminine. This may have also held jewelry. In the top of the box is silk. Unfortunately. It is a bit torn but does not distract from the beauty of the piece. The bronze is in excellent condition and the box snaps shut tightly. It has no damage, no chips or cracks. Amazing it has survived for 100 years intact. Size is 3 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" at the base. EXCEPTIONAL! We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique lamp. This lamp is features the finest in materials and craftsmanship. The lamp body is a large, fluted, white opaline glass vase with a narrow neck and wide lower section. It has been superbly hand painted in a delicate pattern of trailing vines, leaves and English roses. The leaves and vines are green and the roses are pink and peach in color. The glass is further enhanced with two different hand painted portraits/scenes. The first scene is of two 18th Century lovers in an intimate embrace. They are in a European court yard or garden setting. The second portrait scene is of an 18th Century woman who is peering from behind a tree.probably at the couple. All the characters are in noble dress and the scenes are exceptionally detailed. They are painted in a cameo style with each having ... morea border of raised, blue paint beads. The lamp is not visibly marked(I did not take it apart to look for marks) It does, however, have the look and character of Sevres. The lamp hardware is also exquisite. It is French Dore(gilded bronze) with exceptional and ornate design. The base features a raised square section where the glass body rests. It is adorned with a very stunning overlay of thick gilded bronze in a curved Acanthus leaf and Neoclassic pattern. This section creates the footed design of the base. There is a circular dore Acanthus leaf spacer at the top of the glass section as well. The lamp is completed with a beautiful silk shade. The shade is ecru to cream in color. The silk is patterned in a tone on tone fashion with rose bouquets. It is also fluted with an 8 sided design. Each section is borded with bric a brac as is the top and bottom. The bottom of the shade features strands of hanging glass beads. The beads are tiny at the top of the strands with a large bead to finish the strands. The lamp is a double socket with pull chains. Antique Tall 19th Century French Robins Egg Blue Opaline Glass Kerosene Oil Lamp An ornate gilt brass base surmounted by a blue opaline glass double pedestal. Decorated in gold fleur-de-lis designs, seperated by gilt brass fittings, topped with a kerosene tank and removeable fixture assembly and glass chimney. The lamp was in the process of being converted to electric at some point in the past, but this work was not completed. Pair of Antique Hand-Painted Opaline Glass Vases
These are very unusual hand-painted and blown glass vases because the glass is so unusual. It appears to be some type of opaline glass because of its colour. Translucence and texture. However, the surface of the glass is very rough and pitted with many inclusions in the glass itself. This is something I have never seen before in these type of vases. I would date the vases to c1850 based on the hand-painted design and style of the decoration. The quality of the decoration is actually very good which is quite a contrast to the quality of the glass itself. Both vases measure 20 cm tall and 12 cm in diameter. there are no chips or damage to the vases. First of all. I must say that I've ended my listing early cause the t here were some errors in the listing. Up for bid a pair of very beautiful antique vases typical to the victorian era more than one hundred years ago. These vases. That measures 12" tall, are pro bably French. I found them in the house of a 95 years old woma n who was an antiquarian in the 1950's in Quebec city. There were a lot of treasures for sale in her house when she moved. Among them. These 2 vases. They are in very great condition for their age with no major flaws. I would say that they have a few tiny marks and some gold paint loss but the overall condition is still excellent. I've remarked that on the underneath. A magnificent genuine original Victorian Cranberry opaline fount with a moulded pattern. Deep cranberry at the collar fading to dark pink at the rose piece. In very good condition. We have checked internally and there are no tiny hairline cracks beneath the collar. The collar is a standard screw fit DUPLEX size having an internal diameter of 1 1/2 inches.
