A stunning and rare old Paris porcelain hand-painted coffee set. Comprising 1 coffee pot[and lid] 1 sugar bowl[and lid] 1 cream jug, 6 cups and 6 saucers. Made in Paris in the mid nineteenth century, c.1850, it has an octagonal based shape, and comes decorated in a rare european chinoiserie pattern with elements of the"hundred antiques" following the chinese"precious objects" tradition. This is a fairly common subject in chinese ceramics, but very hard to find in european porcelain. Condition is very fine. All the pieces are undamaged and free from chips. Cracks or hairlines. The decoration is extremely well preserved. The only thing worth mentioning is a small firing crack in the sugar bowl(this is not a hairline, it is a small firing flaw) Overall in near perfect condition. Measurements: aprox. Presented here is a very Gorgeous Old Paris early porcelain plate encrusted with gold detail overlay with the heavy rare paste look gold detail. The flowers are so beautiful hand painted in a pretty display of colors in the center of pinks rich purples green and orange blossoms with green background leaves. The background primarily is a skyblue with gold reticulated pattern throughout with little background of white. Around the border are 4 cartouches with bouquets of flowers in each. For sale is something a bit different and I can honestly say that I have never seen anything like it: It certainly falls into the mild erotica subject nowadays and back then must have been very racy for sure. It is a plate made by one of the Paris makers around 1820 or sometime around that(could be better dated by the soldiers uniform but that's out of my range of knowledge for sure) It is nicely handpainted with a scene of two nude ladies fencing while a soldier is watching them. Presumably to see who gets to have the soldier. A bit reversed roles I must say: The soldier seems quite amused and I don't blame him. There is a bit of a landscape surrounding all this and one ladies clothes is towards the front of the scene. Gold and blue trim to the rim. The plate is in great condition with a little bit of wear really only in one spot ... moreto the left of the soldiers feet in the bushes. The piece is unmarked except for some incised marks which is common for Paris pieces of this time period. The plate is 1 inch tall and 9 inches in diameter. Great 19thC Dagoty Vieux Paris Porcelain Cup & Saucer Porzellan Tasse Gold Motif
For sale is a cup and saucer made by Dagoty in the early 19th century. It is handpainted with a gold leaf design on a brownish grey ground color that is quite stunning. Nice gold trim to the edges and handle. This set is in perfect display condition but from the underside of the saucer you can see a hairline on the rim and some other lines along the rim that do not seem to be going through at all not sure how they got there as I have not seen lines like this one a piece before. Something went fufu during the firing I guess. Some firing spots on the saucer as well. A little bit of gold wear on the cup. But having said that it really does display perfectly! Rare Paris Porcelain Plate Turkish Scenic Scene Porzellan Teller French Vieux
For sale is an unusual plate made by one of the Paris makers around 1800 likely made for the Turkish market. It is nicely handpainted with a large scene in the center of a Turkish scene(the seller had another plate that was in worse shape with the crescent moon and star on top of the building) including a camel or dromedary in front of a building I believe to be an old mosque with the minaret. A really neat and usual scene. Lots of palm trees somehow give you the feeling of being right there: The rim has some fancy gilding to it with a shield and the initials PD or DP in it. The plate is in great condition with some wear from stacking. Two spots of flaking of the paint on the little people in the scene and an unimportant chip to the footring underneath. This cup is superbly decorated with a handpainted scene of a bird walking around a landscape scene. Nice gilding to the top and gold trim all around with the same trim on the saucer rim. The center of the saucer has a landscape scene in it as well. Lovely OLd Paris porcelain jardiniere with polychrome floral decor
An exquisite Old Paris porcelain jardiniere. The jardiniere has a wide gold band at the rim followed by 5 thin bands of gilt. Below these. On opposite sides of the jardiniere are two raised lion mask handles set against an apple green ground. Beneath the green band is a scrolled floral band in raised gilt. The lower body of the jardiniere has a motif of pink roses, morning glories, blue corn flowers and what appear to be purple and white chrysanthemums. This floral decor is followed by an additional 5 thin bands of gilt at the bottom of the pot. There is a small hole in the bottom to allow for drainage of water. There are some rust stains on the underside of the pot and in the interior that could probably be removed with some soap and water. There is a minor hairline glaze crack on the underside of the pot not affecting the porcelain body ... moreitself and invisible when the pot sits upright. The number 1 is impressed into the underside of the jardiniere. The approximate dimensions are 4 inches high by 4 and 1/4 inches wide, from handle to handle. The diameter is approximately 3 and 3/4 inches. This would make a distinctive accent piece for the connoisseur or collector of Old Paris porcelain. Antique Game Bird Porcelain de Paris Tureen w/ Cover NR ~ France
A delightful small French porcelain tureen or covered baking dish with the lid in the shape of a bird. Most likely intended to serve a game bird delicacy. The rim is fluted like a pie crust so when the lid is on it resembles a baked pie with the bird's head protruding from the crust. The base of the dish is decorated with raised, alternating white and pink stripes while the bird is highlighted with light gray strokes to represent feathers. Not sure what type of bird decorates the lid- possibly a grouse or ptarmigan. Both the lid and base are fully glazed with the exception of the inside rim, the lid fits loosely so it rocks slightly. Signed on the bottom with a stamped blue ink mark"Porcelaine de Paris, France" and crossed arrows; also has an impressed"3" in the base. Dates approx. 1890 to 1920. A 19th Century Paris Porcelain Vase with Mask Handles ~ Wraparound Painted Scene and Gilding ~ As Found ~ 6 3/4" tall ~ 4 3/4" across the top ~ weighs 1 lb. 5 oz. The top vase section is bolted to the pedestal and is loose on the base but can be made to sit straight. If its not set perfectly, it will lean as shown above. Rare Porcelaine de Paris Vieux Porcelain Miniature Wash Bowl & Pitcher Porzellan
For sale is a superb and unusual miniature wash set(I think or it could be a small creamer and open salt but I doubt that! made by one of the Paris region factories around 1800. Both pieces are superbly decorated with a handpainted gold design on a blue background color that reminds me of velvet when touched since it is not smooth liked normal colors but a bit rough to the touch. Lots of gilding to top and bottom. The bottom of the handle has a mask on it which is nice. The set is in perfect condition with one larger spot of gold missing on a flower on the pitcher which might be from the making! Otherwise very minor wear nothing else. Neither piece is marked to the underside of the base which is normal to this period and region. The pitcher is 3.5 inches tall and the bowl is 1.75 inches tall and it has a diameter of 4.125 inches. For sale is a cup and saucer made by Nast around 1800. The set is nicely ahdnpainted with red cornflowers with green leaves and a nice gold trim. A typical design of this period though the blue cornflowers are more the norm. The set is in good condition with a tight hairline to the cup. The saucer is unmarked but the cup has a faint Nast mark in red. The cup is 2.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. PORCELAIN DE PARIS TURTLE
This Porcelain de Paris turtle is approximately 9 1/2" long. 6"wide,with a 5 ½” X 3 ½” opening that is 2 1/2" deep. Its original cover is missing. It is painted with delicate flowers and leaves and has web-patterned gold design on feet and neck. Gold painted facial features are whimsical and quaint. It is free of chips and cracks, and the only blemish I can find is slightly to the left of the logo on the underside. It is more a rough spot, not smooth like the porcelain and does not alter the logo as a scrape or chip might do. It is inconspicuous and seems almost a pottery mar prior to the logo stamp. I thought it might be residue from a price sticker but that doesn’t seem the case. Unusual. At any rate, I envision this cute table top piece as a small planter. Perfect for the turtle lover or collector.

Exceptional Old Paris porcelain urn topped by reclining Turkish figure
This important Old Paris porcelain piece is good example of the high level of craftmanship achieved by the French porcelain industry during the 19th century. The modelling in biscuit of the sultan that serves as finial is simply magnificent. From the movement of his clothes to the majestic mien. The 3-dimensional effect of the sultan figure overflowing the mouth of the ewer/urn is stunning. Under the figure, the glazed body with gilded garlands and high relief leaves and fruit complement the piece, and makes one wonder: Sculpture or domestic ware? Although the piece is in good condition generally speaking. There are some problem areas that must be mentioned. First, the sultan is missing part of the opium pipe; a finger in his right hand is broken. In the glazed part, some old repairs show, and there is gold loss. If you have any doubts. A lovely antique 1800s Old Paris Porcelain handpainted ormolu mounted trinket box. Beautiful handpainted flowers on top and front. The nice old gilt gold as only seen in this age pieces. Wonderful gilt brass very fine detail. Nice working hinge. On the bottom handpainted in old Tuscan red MADE IN FRANCE. Very nice condition. Alot of the gilt remains and no wear to the handpainted flowers. No chips. A tight 3/4" tight old hairline in the top, which is of no consequence. Over 3 1/2" at 3 5/8" x 2 3/4" x 2" tall. CASE BY JACOB PETIT WORKS BY PEPIN PARIS I have been very fortunate to have been able to purchase a single owner estate of very beautiful and choice.Mostly German and French Empire period to Napoleon III porcelains, circa 1800 to 1870. All of them will be listed here on eBay over the next week or so. Please see my other listings for more out of this strong grouping of antiques. All with no reserve. This listing is for a fine French Old Paris porcelain clock circa 1830. The clock measures 14 inches or 36 cm high. The clock case is all porcelain and made during the reign of Louis Phillipe. This case was made by and signed by Jacob Petit. Perhaps the most well known"Old Paris" porcelain makers of his time. The case is green and white with heavy gold leaf and floral accents. The case is signed ... moreon the bottom with the"J.P. in under glaze blue. This is the monogram of Jacob Petit(1796 to 1868) The brass dial has green inset plaques containing Roman numerals. The dial is surrounded by a brass 1/2 inch wide bezel cut with vertical groves. The porcelain around this bezel is decorated with gold rays ending in scalloped edges. Thus giving the dial the look of a radiant sun. Very clever and effective. The measures 4 1/2 inches or 11.5 cm across.The movement is of the silk suspension type and eight day time and strike. The movement is signed"PEPIN A PARIS" Pepin was a Parisian clock maker from the 18th through the beginning of the 19th century. one of his clocks is in the British Royal Collection Trust) Here is the condition. The porcelain is in immaculate condition with no damage or repairs. The clock does run. The movement is all there. Both springs are good and the clock has it's original pendulum and key. The clock mechanism I don't believe was ever cleaned in it's nearly 200 year old life. The base has three varying width gold bands as accenting. 16 3/8" tall; 14" width from leaf to leaf. 6 5/8" top diameter. 5 1/2" base diameter. Unmarked but for two parallel incised lines- see photos. Ca. Mid 19th century. The vase is in good condition- no chips, cracks or crazing. The back of the vase is undecorated. There are some areas w/ gold wear- typical for Old Paris- see photos. I also believe that at some point a previous owner may have touched up the gold in a few spots on the leaves. Each features hand-painted figural scenes depicting females and cherubs in neoclassical settings on salmon colored ground. Gilding decorates the handles. Base and rim. They were drilled and mounted, most likely for use as table lampes, sometime in the early twentieth century, and mounting clay residue remains on the underside of one vase. Again. This is quite large and measures a full 17 inches wide, 11 1/2 inches tall and 9 inches wide or 43 by 29 by 23cm. The centerpiece has as it's main decoration a hand painted outdoor scene of a young mother looking on as her child holds a small bird. The other side has a painting of purple flowers.
