$153.35 Shipping Location: Russell, United States Offered for your consideration is this Early Folk Art Inlaid Circular Tilt-Top Tripod Table. This table came out of a very wealthy early estate. Who said ... morethe table was in their family for several generations. The top of the table has a scalloped edge with a design carved into it. The table has an outstanding detailed inlay on top, consisting of goats and some sort of flowing heart design. We are not sure what wood the piece is made of. It appears to be a birdseye maple veneer top with inlaid marquetry and a dark walnut base. The top is supported by a fluted and carved pedestal base with carved feet that resemble a twisted root design characteristic of Black Forest. The size and shape of this table makes this piece able to fit anywhere! The top measures approximately 20 1/2" in diameter and the table measures 29" tall. Definitely an heirloom quality table that would make a fantastic addition to any home. I will do my best to describe the condition. The boards that fasten on to the bottom of the top appear to be crudely cut on an angle for some reason, we have taken closeups pictures that should tell the story. There is a few small spots on the top where the inlay is missing. Also, the shiney finish shows wear and loss on top of the table and could use a refinish job if that is a concern. However, it still displays well, having a nice antique, folky look to it. The tilt mechanism amounts to a simple board that moves forward and backward allowing the table to tilt. This is one of the nicest early Folk Art tables I have ever seen, a must for the serious collector. This table is being offered AS IS, if you need any additional photos please ASK BEFORE BIDDING. This is for a fabulous signed antique wooden cigar case and vesta case with some very fine Sorrento work on the front. The wooden marquetry depicts a 18th Century soldier. Possibly Ottoman, with the different colour pieces of wood picking out his traditional uniform. His bayonet rifle and even his clay pipe billowing smoke. It is very well detailed and signed'Micnon Freres' and it has what looks like'Pizza' on the back. Inside it is lined in its original red silk with two pouches to hold cigars, a rough paper for striking matches and a smaller pouch to hold the matches. It is in absolute excellent condition with no damage to it anywhere and it has a good strong catch. It measures 140mm(5.5" x 75mm(3" and the sides are designed to expand for wide cigars. Antique Middle Eastern Islamic Rafael Rus Alhambra Window Inlaid Marquetry Frame
This is a beautiful antique Middle Eastern Islamic Alhambra window. 18 Granada by Raphael Rus. It is in a lovely antique inlaid marquetry frame, which I believe is original to it. The frame measures 10 1/8 inches wide by 13 1/4 inches tall(25.7 cm x 33.7 cm) It has a back opening size of 6 3/8 inches by 9 1/2 inches(16.2 cm x 24.1 cm) It measures 2 3/8 inches wide(6 cm) The plaque measures 6 1/8 inches wide by 9 1/4 inches tall(15.6 cm x 23.5 cm) This frame has incredible detail all over. I'm not sure what types of wood were used. But they're quite beautiful. It must've taken a lot of work to make such a fine detailed frame. Each corner does have some little nicks. The inner part of the frame on the left side has a little nick approximately 1/2 inch x 1/8 inch(1.3 cm x.3 cm) There is a very light crack on the right middle side ... moreof the inner part of the frame. There are a few pieces of marquetry missing. But most of it is there(please see photos) It's developed a beautiful old patina. The plaque is a plaster or gesso hand carved scale model of one of the windows at the Alhambra Palace in Spain. It is painted in gilt and polychrome. It is signed Raphael Rus in the bottom left-hand corner and 18 Granada in the bottom right-hand corner. There is a hairline crack on it on the top left side going from the side of the plaque to the window(please see photo) There is also a tiny one just to the left of the number 18. This nifty clock is in a self-contained box that opens and closes with a key to lock it making it child proof(pictured#1) When closed it is a decorative box made from a light wood like pine(pictured#2) It has a beautiful wood grain to it and shows some Marquetry as the top. Sides, and bottom are framed with a lighter wood(pictured#2) French Marquetry began in France during the 14 Century and practiced today. It is a form of inlay where thin veneer is inlaid around a framing of another piece of wood like the six sides of this box. The clock contains itself under the inside lid and is held there by a magnet exposing a jewelry compartment below(pictured# 3& 6) There is a small leather strap that when pulled forward releases the clock from the magnet pull and props the clock forward making it a clock in a box. One-of-a-kind handmade antique inlaid marquetry box with hidden compartments
This is a primitive like box. Very nicely done, hand made likely, very heavily inlaid with detailed marquetry work. It has these lovely primitive storage sections inside. In images two and four, everything you see with marquetry design lifts out of the box and you can store things underneath in those areas. There were four tiny nubs/legs on the bottom and one is missing, which is an easy fix, or you can just take the three existing nubs off and it will sit nicely on a table. It is a unique, one of a kind piece of workmanship. Very rustic, yet immensely detailed which is evidence of it's"handmade" origin. It measures roughly 27 inches wide by about 23 inches and it is about 3.5 inches deep under the top.

Antique Dutch Marquetry three panel barley twist shaving mirror 19th
This three panel shaving mirror has outside panels that are removeable. The drawers are inlaid in the marquetry style with exotic woods. The central portion of the mirror is 26 ¾ inches wide. When the side panels are included it is 47 ¼ inches wide. The central mirror including the base is 37 ¾ inches high. The edges of all of the mirrors are beveled. The posts where the outside mirrors attach are barley twist. The storage portion at the bottom with the drawers is serpentine in shape. The drawers are dovetailed. The piece is in very good condition. It dates circa 1870. There are a couple of splits in the wood on the back of the large mirror.

The decanter is oval and is 3 7/8" at its widest and 6" tall. The goblet is 3 5/8" in diameter and 4 3/4" tall. Overall condition is fair. There are small chips to the lip of the goblet. A few very small chips to stopper of decanter. The stopper is stuck and we were unable to remove it. Fabric interior is worn and faded. Exterior has spots of missing veneer and cracks to the veneer on the back and side. Key is missing and it is not know if the locking mechanism works. Beautiful wooden inlay art. Unsigned, shows a pictorial scene of a faming village. The Woman carries a pot on her head and in her arm, while holding the arm of her child. Her child wears a shirt, but no pants, so it must be a poor family, though he seems to have a toy stick horse with him. The farmer on the left side houses his cattle in a stable attached to the house. The house is simple, lacking basic running water or electricity. There is another home in the right hand side that appears to be more affluent. The artist is able to capture even the shadows using only different color variations of wood. The lighter variations of wood can look like missing pieces, but if you run your finger over it, you will find that the picture is flight, and it is not missing at all. There are a few scratches. Louis 14th table sewing antique marquetry
This has been in my family for 120 years. It was brought in Europe as an antique by some wealthy relatives in about 1890 taken to NZ and handed down the family ever since. It is beautifully made with intricate marquetry and metal trims. I am not sure if it was always a"sewing" table or if the inside sewing partions were added 100 years ago or so. It certainly is a beautiful piece of furniture that deserves to be displayed in an elegant house.

This is a gorgeous pair of antique Louis XV style tables. They are in good condition. They measure about 19" wide x 28 1/4" tall. One of the tables top seems to be a little loose. But other than that, these are very sturdy. They have tons of gorgeous ormolu and very unique busts on the bottom legs of the tables. Beautiful marquetry work on the tops. The designs are different on each of the tops. I have had a consultation on these tables around October 2012 from J. Carmen, Inc. in Little Rock, AR. Here is the information she gave me: In examining these images I can tell you that these tables are definitely reproductions. Crafted in the Louis XV style. It is always a bit difficult to fully ascertain dates from photos, but it is clear to me that these date no earlier than the 1880s and probably not later than the 1930s. This nice wood plaque/ wall hanging I believe is of Jerusalem showing the Tower of David. It seems to be a souvenir type piece and may have been picked up during someone's travel to the Holy Land. 15" x 11" x 3/8" No maker's marks or origin, CONDITION: a little surface wear. Authentic Egyptian inlaid with Mother of Pearl purchased in Cairo Egypt in the early 70’s and was shipped to the USA. It is an unbelievable piece of art. Made of solid wood(probably in Cherry Wood, not sure) and inlaid marquetry borders and very intricate wood work. Some discolored areas are present due to its age and are not to be mistaken for scratches or damaged. Few pieces of the Mother of Pearl are missing. See last photo) We had this Egyptian pedestal in our living room by a door leading to our backyard; a plant was on the top shelf and a beautiful statue was rested on its bottom shelf.
