Unique Antique Gone With The Wind Parlor Lamp Converted From Oil To Electric
Gorgeous gwtw lamp! This lamp has an asymmetrical look with its quilted top and painted base. Yet the colors from the base are mimicked on the top globe creating such an interesting piece! The lamp stands 22 inches tall and the shades are about 9 inches in diameter. This is a converted oil to electric lamp and is quite old however the exact age is unknown. The uniqueness of this lamp is evident in it's shades. The bottom shade has lovely tulips on both the front and back posted against a two tones green background. The condition of the lamp is wonderful. There are a few age marks on the paint and the top shade has a few chips on the very top. They are very slight and hardly noticeable even up close. Hi There! This is a classic pair of Electrified Oil Gone With the Wind Lamps. That are actually a little unusual. They are solid Brass, with Marble Base's and Duplex Burners. They stand 27 inches high(2 ft. 3 inches! about 15 inches wide at the widest. There are 21 crystals on one, and 11 on the other. I plugged them in and they do light up. The part where the lamp actually goes in is loose. And the on/off switches are loose. The Ruffled Glass Shades,The actual glass is Amber Colored. PITTSBURGH DOUBLE DRAGON GONE WITH THE WIND PARLOR LAMP
Description I bought this wonderful Parlor Lamp many year's ago at which time the owner told me it was made by the Pittsburgh Lamp Company and was called"The Flying Serpent" I was surprised a few year's later when a friend came over. Saw it and said, Wow! I was in Ole Miss and drove by an old Victorian house and there was a piano sitting by the window and on it was this same exact lamp in blue! Until 10 day's ago I had never seen another one. It was here on ebay and listed at $2,795.00 or best offer. I put it on watch and within 10 days it sold! This measures 26 inches tall with out the chimney. Total measurement on the chimney is 14.5" which adds 3 or so inches to the 26 inch total. Ten inches in diameter. This has been electrified and has a switch that lights the top and bottom section's at the same time. ... moreWe did replace the bulb's after the first photo's showing it with no light. We would strongly suggest that this be rewired. We normally cut cord's but did not have the heart to on this one! According to the other fellow ebayer's ad this is a very rare lamp with only a few known examples. As you can see from the photo's heat has made the paint run on the top section in the area's shown. I noticed the other one had a heat discoloration also. The color's are actually red and pink and the dragon's are raised with very wonderful detail. RARE!~1920's Dillard Smith Hanging Gone with the Wind Library Lamp~Signed~Grapes

I have included a lot of photos because this light is far to incredible not to show every angle. This has all the Victorian charm you would expect from the Dillard M Smith Co. The hardware is all wrought iron. With 3 chains that meet in the center just above the 14 inch diameter shade. There is a decorative smoke bell at the top along with the matching wrought iron collar that sets loosely on top of the shade. There are many tear drop crystal prisms that adorn the bottom ring all the way around. Lastly the shade is Drop Dead Gorgeous! There are 4 raised/embossed grape cluster ... moreand leaves that wrap around the entire shade. The colors are even more beautiful in person. The bottom of the shade is signed Dillard M Smith Co. which is shown in the last photo. The Library Lamp measures about 18 inches tall to the top of the canopy. This is a ceiling mount style. The 14 inch shade when it sets in the ring is about 18 inches in total diameter. The condition is absolutely amazing for a lamp of this age. The shade is free of any chips, cracks, scratches or paint loss. I don’t think one as complete as this one will surface again for quite some time if at all. Beautiful 19th century Bradley& Hubbard electric lamp. The"globe" features a beautiful hand painted floral design. It looks like it came right out of Gone With the Wind! The lampshade is not original(please let me know if you would like it included or not) The lamp looks great but is not in completely perfect condition. The sides of the globe show a bit of wear. Antique Gone with the Wind Lamp electrified vintage perfection
Here is a gone with the wind lamp that I had electrified and a custom made shade. It measures: 27" high including chimney and shade; 13" from bottom to top of prongs that holds the chimney; 9 1/2" bottom to brass rim; iron base is 9 1/2" foot to foot; bowl is 9 1/2" diameter at widest part. The colors are green and pinks. Yellows with tulips on 2 sides. One side shows some light blotches,not white, just lighter within the base colors. The shade was very costly, very elegant and finely made, it is still perfect, no stains or fadeing. It is 14 1/2" diameter from point to point and the top opening for chimney to stick out is 8 1/2" across. The base is cast iron, font and rim around font are brass as is the burner. This auction is for an Absolutely Beautiful 27" high Mid Century Modern Gone With The Wind lamp produced in 1971 by Loevsky& Loevsky(L& L) The lamp has a floral motif. Muted gold and brown tones, has the switch that turns on just the night light at the bottom, just the top lamp or both at the same time. In very good condition with no chips or cracks in the glass, works as it should. The electric cord has black electrical tape in 2 places but the cord is solid and works just fine but probably could be replaced at a later time.

I have lots of antique lighting listed and more on the way. This is an amazing set of 4 antique matching lamp shades from the Victorian era the detail on these is awesome these should be in a museum. You never find shades from this era still intact let alone a matching set of 4. They have minimal fading and wear and really look unused probably only stored all these decades. The family these were bought from loaned their furniture to the film Gone With The Wind but I can't say these were used in the movie because they look unused but it's possible after use they were shipped back to the family and then never unpacked until they were purchased. After a lot of research. And thanks to other EBay sellers, I found out that this is an electric 3 way hurricane lamp, with a frosted off white lower globe. It has a footed base with crow on the lower globe. The lamp has a lower night light, upper light or option to light both. From the bottom of the base to where the bulb screws in is 14 1/4" The round piece at the top is 10" in diameter, the bottom is 8" wide. The bulb in the bottom is one of those old fashioned Christmas tree bulbs. If you get a top piece to fit this lamp you are definitely going to have a great center/conversation piece. The glass portion is in great condition and the rest is metal. All funds received will be going to the Honor Guard for VFW Post 9644 in Colorado. The lamp is exceptionally clean and in excellent condition. Exact age is undetermined. However. The original electrical cord with non-polarized plug suggests the 1960's or early 70's. The cast metal(spelter) base has a brushed pewter finish. Other ferrous metal parts have a pewter finish. There is no manufacturer identification on the lamp. The lamp is shown with a pearl top chimney which is included with the lamp. The lamp has a 3-way keyed switch. The lamp has a cast iron weight in the base. The lamp is in excellent working condition. There are no electrical hazards ... morein the cord or molded plug. The height of the lamp is approximately 23+1/4 inches. The lamp is significant weighing nearly 8 pounds. The 10-inch(actually 9+7/8-inch diameter bottom rim) glass shade is in excellent condition. There are no cracks. Chips, or repairs on the glass. The pie-crust/ruffled top edge is smooth; the bottom edge is ground and slightly rough which is very typical of glass shades. The metal base is in excellent condition showing no detectable defects. With a very close inspection other metal parts show random and small. Barely noticeable areas of discoloration(often referred to as age-related wear or age appropriate wear) which is a common on this type of lamp. Antique Gone with the Wind Hand Painted Pansy Flower Oil Lamp Electrified

Just the top is electric when turned on(see photo of it lit) It is hand painted and has bright and cheery colors. There are no chips or cracks. The conversion to electric seems a little primitive as just the top is lit and the mechanism to hold the top shade in place is adapted pieces of the oil lamp. In other words not a really professional conversion. But still it works. The brass base has a really nice design and the brass that is on the top of the glass bottom is also detailed with the oil stopper having a flower design on it. This stopper still unscrews. The base is about 11" high from the base to the top brass rim. The top shade measures about 6" high and top opening is about 4 1/2" wide. The paint on the top shade ... moreis not perfect at the top. There is some discoloration to the yellow base color and a spot that is darker. Also some places that the white is not covered. I've taken 15 photos so I hope this shows what I am talking about. I think you can see when the lamp is on a table this does not detract and hand painted things from over 100 years ago have flaws. The nature of antiques. If you have any questions. Up for auction is a Vintage 1950's-Gone With The Wind Lamp. Pink and White with a Central Hand Painted Rose Flower arrangement. Stands 20" high by 8" in diameter. Supported by an ornate 8" by 8" square footed cast white metal base. This lamp features a 3-way lighting option with both the top and bottom lit or just the top or the bottom's internal night light as shown lit in the 7th picture. Natural aging to the fittings with one internal support prong missing as shown in picture 8, otherwise no chips, repairs, etc. The wiring is fine and all works well. Electrified with drop-in font pot. Glass with no chips. Cracks or color loss. Iron base is fancy with pansy flowers, flourishes and scrolls, popular in the Nouveau/Victorian era. Lamp measures 13 3/4" high to socket. Which is inserted into the draft tube, unsure if tube has been cut. Font does not lift out completely.
