French Carriage Style Clock ca. 1884-1900
This is a French shelf clock in the style of a carriage clock. The case is ebonized wood with painted spelter decorations of garlands and ornate plaques. The decorations are complete; nothing is broken or missing. There is a chip in the wood on the top left side of the case. The porcelain dial is 4" in diameter with Roman numerals and beveled glass. It is also in good condition with no chips or cracks. The movement runs but will probably require some attention. It strikes the hour and half hour on a bell and is marked with a Japy Freres et Cie. La Chaux de Fonds mark. The clock measures 11" high x 6" wide x 5" deep. There is a key. Sold as is and as found; no guarantee.

It's is in an excellent condition regarding its age and it comes in SOLID METAL having beautifully decorated bronze features. You will definately NOT find a second one easily. This piece has not been cleaned or polished. The inner brass edge around the dial is shining like new. There is(real) glass in front. The bronze base is richly decorated; the same goes for the bronze carriage handle on top of this clock. Beautiful French antique travel alarm clock of diminutive proportions. It really is sweet and in good working order, it is completely untouched and has a wonderful patina created from around 100 years of use, the alarm is in working order and is stopped by the handle type piece on the top. The case is stamped on the back Sonnerie and Mouvement for the winders and Reveil for the alarm, it has the patent mark and has an unusual feature which is 2 adjustable feet at the front, such attention to detail would not have been cheap when it was made. VINTAGE FRENCH STATUE MANTLE CLOCK VERY DETAILED BEAUTIFUL
Up for auction is a vintage French statue mantle wind-up clock w/key. I don't see any marks on the clock I am not sure of the age. It is in good condition but can't seem to get it to work. I know nothing about clocks tried to wind but got nothing from it. The clock is made of metal looks to be painted some small chips. There are plenty of pictures please look at all very close. BEST EGYPTIAN REVIVAL PAINTED & GILT MOUNTED SLATE FINE FRENCH MANTEL CLOCK
The enameled dial with red Roman numerals are rather unique in this genre of Egptian Revival clocks and quite attractive. The dial is set in pylon-form case with wing-and-disc decorated cavetto frieze which is difficult to make out in my photos. Surmounted by an Assyrian winged bull and flanked by seated Egyptian figures, the plinth base is decorated with Egyptian deities; The measurements of this clock are approx 20 1/2 x 18 x 6 in. This certainly is one heck of a Great Looking and running Clock. It carries an extremely Fine French Movement and is 19th Century and not post 1922.Examine the pictures closely. The clock is in working condition and runs 8 days with a strike on the bell for the hours and half hours. I purchased t out of a Collectors clock collection along with 6 other French Beauties. 19c Brass Inlaid French "Portico" Clock C1880.
For auction is a french brass inlaid ebonised portico clock C1880. The 8 day timepiece movement[non striking] is stamped on the backplate"Babbard&Vignon" Ft D'Horlogerie Rue Commines 7 Paris and is in good working order and keeping time. The enamel dial is signed"Florimond-Lemaire" there is a small amount of damage at six o'clock but does not detract. Breguet style hands. The gilding is superb and still bright after all these years and i suspect that originally it was under a glass dome. All the brass inlay is intact as are the coloured stones and mother of pearl. Lovely gridiron pendulum, the barleytwist columns are inlaid with fine brass wire. Stands 18 inches high[46cm]x 6 ins deep[15cm]x 9 ins wide[23cm] A very immpresive clock in excellent condition and working well, comes with key, selling with no reserve.

Colors are of the Se'vres style with shades of turquoise, burgundy, yellows, green. etc. done in porcelain floral decoration. The trim is gilt at the edge, top, corners and top surround. I t is rare to find a clock circa 1860 in this condition. The beautiful figural scene is made of spelter and shows a lovely young girl sitting in the garden. She is wearing a nice hat and spinning in the morning sun. A little bird sits watching the lovely girl. As she handles the spindle and thread. A basket sits beside her. This figural clock is absoulutely beautifully fine cast. Original enamel dial is in mint condition. The original hands are made of blued steel. Featuring an Arabic man resting under a palm tree. The clock is an early example, likely manufactured between 1830- 1850. Orientalist pieces such as this are currently in high demand, especially those from the Napoleon I period. The clock measures 15" tall, 10" wide, and 5.5" deep. It is made of solid bronze, which has been mercury gilded in pure gold. The movement is stamped"LIN. Aine, Paris. The clock is in excellent condition. Free of dents, dings, or apparent restorations. In our preliminary research we did find another piece by the same artist but the clock did not have the hand writing on the clock face as seen on this piece. For sale is this wonderful antique Victorian mantle clock that has a sitting Roman soldier on top. Not sure who the maker is. I have been told that this is a French made clock and I have been told that it was made by Ansonia which is an American made clock. At any rate its a great decorative and collectible piece. The clock measures 17 3/4" tall by 18 1/2" tall by 8" wide. Condition of the case looks good for its age. However the clock does not work and does need a minute and hour hand. Buying clock AS IS. For sale is this Japy Frerese& Med D’Honneur alabaster mantel clock w/ granitures. The clock measures 15 3/4" tall by 11" long by 4 1/2" wide. The granitures each measure 10 7/8" tall with a 3 1/2" square base. The face has some wear around the key hole. The alabaster or marble has flea bites. There is a little play to the handles of the granitures. Along with the side pieces of the clock. There is also a foot that needs replacing on one of the ewers. Never seen one before an original French art deco pendule luminescente. The short of it is it has a glass front with iron objects letting through light that is inside the case. What we see is a woman and her kid waving to father who returns from fishing in the sun. The glass also makes up for the waves and the sea as it is for the sky. Nicely done in iron, looks hammered or a technique with a center point. Whatever they used it is extremely nice. All the original 1930s French fittings are still present but the original cord to the power inlet of the clock is lost. Weird lamp is needed in the original fitting. I found it better to keep it original and I have added ... more2 modern E-14 lamp fittings and a modern cord inside the old as an addition. My wiring is good it can only hold 2 x 25 w bulbs which together produce 25 w. I contemplated doing it otherwise with a cord dimmer but this is just enough light to light it up as a sunset. But if buyer so desires he/she can change that its brighter with a cord dimmer. I will remove plug of the cord as it will not work elsewhere then here, so buyer needs to fit a new plug to its country standards. The clock works excellent and keeps good time, has an impressive bim bam chime one time for the half hour and a full set for the hour. All in all it is in excellent condition, some rust on the iron. A rare find, with a tag on the back that it is an original luminescente clock. It is a heavy clock, it stands approx. 10”or 26 cm tall and 25” or 64 cm wide and 6.5” or 17 cm deep.
