French Gelt Shelf Clock
Up for your consideration is a: French Gelt Shelf Clock. This is a very nice looking and operating clock. The movement is an eight day time only. The dial is white with black numerals and hands. The dial appears to be porcelain. It has a solid brass bezel that is in very good condition. It has a very detailed golden gilt case. It is with out cracks and chips. French Shelf Clock No Reserve!
This is a glass French Shelf Clock. The clock is not currently running but looks to only need a cleaning to put it in excellent running condition. All of the glass is beveled but the piece on the back door is cracked and the piece on the front is chipped on the botton right corner. There are a few small hairline cracks in the porcelin dial at the top left corner but they are very small and do not affect the functionat all. The clock measures 4.5x3x2.5 inches. No Reserve!

Antique Parts ca 1880 French MOVEMENT w Open Escapement for Marble Clock
French Clock Movement and Dial Assembly AGE: ca.1880 The 8 day time and strike movement is unsigned. It is sold as non-running and as-is. The escapement works when pressure is applied to the verge. The strike side is very sluggish and does not always chime on every hour. The fast/slow adjustment shaft is missing along with the two mounting straps that attaches the movement to the case. The movement is very dirty and will need routine cleaning and oiling. This is an easy restoration project or just use it for the parts. The cast brass bezel measures 5 1/4" in diameter and requires an opening of 4 3/4" minimum. It has the original heavy beveled glass. Hands are original and excellent. The Dial is porcelain and has the usual hairlines. And several small chips. What you see in the photos is what you get. Sorry. I do not have any other ... moreparts for this clock. And it dominated the clock market in France from the 1930’s Art Deco period, through the 1960‘s. Antique French green marble mantle clock bell strike running Rotterdam
Up for auction is an antique french green marble mantle clock currently running. Clock case has chips off front top corners(see pics) Clock movement is only marked with numbers 16098. Sculpture on top was missing. I placed this ceramic sculpture of Justice on top and it looked nice, but statue is grey and green marble is screaming for a nice gold piece. I did not remove or clean the movement. I had too fabricate an old Ansonia pendulum, and its running great. Pendulum is adjustable for regulating the time. AWESOME LADY CLOCK This is a great lady clock done by new haven Co. in Conneticut. She is holding up the clock and she has a wrap cloth around her waist. And an ornate base. If you do a close up of her waist where her wrap starts, there is a line that goes all the way around, I cant imagine its a crack because there is no roughness, I think its the start of her wrap cloth, but I cant really tell. Antique Brass 1800s French Carriage Clock Repeater
I have for sale a functioning antique french brass and glass repeater carriage clock. It has been in my family for 40 years. It was purchased from an antique dealer in London in the 1970s and has sat on the mantle since then. I do not know of it's provenance prior to that time. The clock's dimensions are as follows: 5 1/4 inches high. 3 3/4 inches wide, and 3 inches deep. It weighs about 3 1/2 pounds. It has a handle on the top and a top button that makes the clock chime. The back glass panel opens allowing the clock to be wound with the included key. It is a beautiful clock. Clock is in good condition especially considering its age. That being said. It shows the typical wear of a clock that is well over 100 years old. There is a chip and some small scratches on the oval glass on the top of the clock. Another chip is located in the ... moretop left corner of the glass front-piece and there is a scratch on the top right hand side of the glass front-piece. The white face shows some cracking and wear in the top two corners. Prior to it coming into our possession, someone inscribed some tiny numbers at the very top of the door in the back of the clock. I do not know the meaning of the numbers, they are very difficult to see without a light and a magnifying glass. It looks like this was done a long time ago as the numbers are extremely faint and the brass is smooth. The clock comes with a brass key however. The key is likely not the original as it is stamped as"Made in London" whereas the clock is stamped"Made in France" The clock runs and chimes. It has a lovely soft tone. The repeater button/chime works fine. As far as I can tell it is a fully functioning clock. It will require polishing as it hasn't been cleaned in a while. While the clock is French, there is no discernible maker's name on it that I can see beyond the"Made in France" stamp. This clock has been in my family for about 40 years. Antique Copper Clock ... Japy Freres French Clock
This stately and very solid mantel clock was made by Japy Freres. C. 1870’s-1880’s. The container is solid copper with brass corner feet. With a wooden concealed base. The dial has a delicately sculpted hinged bezel door of 4 ½” diameter. With original curved glass. The dial is in excellent original condition; there is an exquisitely delicate metal filigree over the enameled metal dial. Which has uniquely hand painted arabic numerals. The metal hands are in excellent condition. The clock is has an impressive appearance and weighs 8.4 lbs. The movement inside the hinged back opening has brass medallion stamped with“Japy-Feres& Ce-Gde Med. D'Honner. Japy Freres(Japy Brothers) were awarded a medal at the 1855 Paris Exposition. And their later clocks continued to have the medallion showing their award. There is no key. But brass ... morependulum is included, which has indented stamped numerals“8503” The clock is 9 ¼ inches tall. 7 inches wide at base, and has a depth of 5 ½ inches. The medallion can be seen through the spring in one of the photographs. The bell has a deep resounding sound.

French Brass Carriage Clock Porcelain Face J E Caldwell& Co Runs Here is a great brass carriage clock for your buying consideration. Recently picked this clock up at an auction. The movement required no cleaning. Servicing or oiling, has been running since I first wound it. The clock has a porcelain dial. The dial does have a chipped piece out of it in the top left corner(see pics) No cracks can be seen on the face. The face of the clock has black markings for the minutes. The hands on this clock are nicely done and do match. Beautiful brass case on this clock that has darkened from age. There is some finish loss and scratching to the metal case. The rear door of the case has both hinge pins on it as well as the knob. The inside of the door has the number"61" impressed on it. Did nothing to clean the case but wipe it down. All ... morefive pieces of the glass. Including the top piece, are beveled. The glass on the rear door is blistered on the right side and a chip missing out of the top right corner. I see no blistering or cracks to the other four glass pieces. Nice brass movement on this clock. The back of the movement has France impressed on it. A winding key will be provided with the clock. After the original sculpture by Pierre-Philippe Thomire(French, 1751-1843) The figures are set against a green marble pillar in the form of a cenotaph tomb which houses the original clock movement. We have found only numeric markings on the movement and the maker is unknown. Bronze and mixed metal mounts include a laurel-enframed lyre on sides and Juno on peacock driven chariot, and the rectangular base is decorated with gilt bronze mounts and raised on bronze feet. A most unusual French Empire period clock in a fine ormolu case. Surmounted by a fisherman reeling in his nets: a collectible subject for this period. The clock dates from about 1840. Evidenced in particular by the irregular, hand made nuts on the underside of the case securing all the mounts in place, pre-dating the incudustrial age. It has a petite. Here is a stunning and beautiful Art Deco geometric nude lady holding clock on wood box base from San Francisco Estate. Made by Henri Lagin. Fils Et Cie, France. Circa 1930's. She is exquisite! The deco lady has a 1930's modernistic hairdo, she has a pretty face, and she is kneeling with one leg bent under her, and her other leg stretched behind her. Her arms are up over her head, holding up a round French wind-up type clock. The overall measurement is 14" tall, 12" long, and 3-1/2" wide. The deco lady is made of some kind of metal with a silver painted finish, the clock is made of wood with metal& glass, and the base is made of mahogany wood, it has a pull-out drawer with a metal knob. The clock is signed"Henri Lagin Fils Et Cie" on the front. The condition of the statue is amazingly very good- shows ... morewear but no chips, breaks, or repairs. The box and clock are in very good condition too, except that the door of the clock has no latch but it does stay closed. The clock works great, and it still has its original key. The wood base has a dark walnut stain on it, felt on the bottom, and the condition is very good- no chips, breaks, or repairs. Overall, this wonderful deco piece is in very good condition, especially considering it is about 80 years old. The estimated value was $425.00 according to the estate. Our reserve is only $149.00. Antique Black Forest Barrois Mantle Castle Clock French Works
Up for your consideration is this Antique Black Forest Castle Mantle Clock. Made by Barrois Clock Co. of Paris France. I would date the clock to around 1900. I have had the clock for approx. 2 years and all I have done, is have the movement cleaned and oiled by a professional clock repairman. It runs great, has original pendulum and key and has a Marti movement. It chimes on the hour and half hour. The case is done in the style of a medieval castle with two Knights standing guard. They appear to be copper plated as are the hinges on the front door and the fret work atop the roof. The other decorations are brass. This is a truly unique and beautiful clock. The body of the clock appears to be Black Walnut but the rear appears to be a veneer and there is veneer loss as seen in photo# 11. The roman numerals on the dial are ceramic. The Knight ... morein photo#3 appears to have had his sword repaired sometime in the past. As the solder appears to be brighter, but that's just a guess. The clock stands 18 1/2" tall by 9" wide and 5" deep. The base that it sits on as you can see is wider and deeper. Although running I cannot guarantee it will be running once sent through the mail. This is an exceptional French clock. Made by C H Gottsleben, in Paris; I am not sure of its exact age, mid 1800's. It is 18" high and 11" wide at the top of base. I believe the case is bronze as its very heavy for it size. It stands 14" tall to the top of the finial and is 7 1/4" wide at the widest point and is 4" deep. The first few picture depict more of it ... morereal color as the camera flash is making the others look lighter. It has a porcelain hand painted ball at the top and same with the plate at the front. The front of the porcelain dial has a beveled glass and it screws into the case. I cannot find any flaws on the case. The works are not original. It now has Davall made in England key wind 8 day works. It runs great but needs adjusting as it is 20 minutes slow over a 24 hour period. Great addition to a collection. Happy Bidding. This is a French peg leg drum clock. Time only. This is an 8 day clock. The movement has a cylinder platform escapement. Movement is running fine. Brass case with a back cup that fits into the case. Very good porcelain dial, and nice steel original hands. The size is 3 3/4" in diameter and 2 1/8" deep. I have a key,not original, that is included.
