VINTAGE FRENCH GILT METAL CLOCK GARNITURE THREE PIECE SET This vintage set is a standard drum plated bell striking French movement of a type that was made in Paris. The base metal is most likely spelter is a relatively soft grey/ black metal that is easy to cast and perfect for very elaborate pieces like this P.H. Mouret is the name of the foundry where the case was cast. The movement would have been made in a separate workshop. The back of the clock has markings indicating the foundry. The maker HT Brevete' 500 C or G, and 8 Phmourey 71. The dimensions of the clock are: 15" in height. 11" in width and 4.5" in depth; each accent piece measures: 9.5" in height, 5.5" at base and 3" in depth.

I am a conscientious seller so if I come across these at a later date you can count on me to forward them on to you. I have not been well enough to make a good search for it as there are many boxes to go through. It is exquisite and has the rare feature of two figures of a man and a woman. Finely detailed. The woman sits somewhat loose on the base. I am not sure if she screws on to the base or if there is another method. Again. I am not going to try and effect any repairs myself. I remember as a child sitting and staring at this piece for ages on the fireplace mantel and imagining the figures dancing. Antique French Empire Period Ormolu and Patinated Bronze Clock c.1830
Beautiful French Empire Period Ormolu Clock of large size. The neo-classical theme featuring a lady sitting on a rock next to a stream with her right foot just touching the water while her urn is spilling out into the stream. The very detailed rock is patinated bronze and the rest of the clock is gilt bronze. The fine details to all of the castings are amazing. The clock retains it's original mercury fire gilding. The original 8 day spring wound movement has silk thread suspension and strikes the hours and half hours on a bell. The clock retains it's Breguet style blued steel hands. The dial center is gilded and retains the original signature of the maker which reads: Guyerdet Aine. Rue Meslay No.48 A Paris. Tardy lists Guyerdet aine at Rue Meslay c.1830. The silvered chapter ring has darkened with age but is in it's untouched ... moreoriginal state. The clock stands 23 3/4" tall which is 60cm. Note: The clock is in good running condition and has a correctly working but replaced pendulum and winding key. I believe that the back door to the clock which is glass and gilded brass is later. It would originally have been a plain open ring. There is some rubbing on the lady's knee which is more polished than the rest of her leg but the original gilding is still there and the color is right. The gilding hasn't been recently cleaned but is a lovely mellow color. The sides and back of the base are dirtier than the front but very acceptable. Please see photos. The 8 Day Time and Strike Clock is supported on 4 ebonized wood columns with gold toned supports. Chimes on a bell on ½ hour and on the hour. Weighs 1 pound 8 ounces. Clock is unmarked and is missing its handle on top as seen. Two Saint Bernards or Mastiffs appear to hold the handle, could be of French or Swiss origin. Beveled glass window is original, intact and nice, no damage. Enameled porcelain face with hand painted numbers, black steel hands, key wind on face. We had a key to wind and it does work and chime on every quarter hour, but was not the correct key, so were selling it without the key, but to be working, you must find the correct key. THI S IS A BEAUTIFUL. FRENCH VICTORIAN BRONZE MANTLE CLOCK. CIRCA 1880'S- 1890' S. I WAS TOLD BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER THAT THE INTERNAL WORKINGS WERE REPLACED WITH AMERICAN WORKINGS AT SOME POINT. NOT SURE WHEN. THIS MAKES IT EASIER TO HAVE IT WORKED ON IF IT NEEDS WORK DONE AT SOME POINT. THE PENDUL UM IS BUILT IN TO THE CLOCK AND THE CLOCK WORKS. THE KEY IS INCLUDED, THERE ARE 2 KEYHOLES ON THE FA CE OF THE CLOCK. THE LEFT KEYHOLE HAS TO BE WOU ND TO THE RIGHT AND T HE RIGHT KEY HOLE HAS TO BE WOUND TO THE LEFT. I bought this out of a cabinet in an old house where it had been for many years. I brought it home hooked up the fancy mercury pendulum wound it up and it has run. Kept time and chimed for the last two hours. The clock face has a couple of hairlines as seen in the pictures. The face reads FFANY& Co New York. The TI has been worn off. There are no chips or cracks in the beveled glass. The Gold finish shows wear. The back reads"Japy Freres& C" C de Med. D'Honneur" Made in France 90444. Vintage French Art Deco Bronze Clock Barometer Hour Lavigne France Angelus
This clock is in fantastic condition. The patinated finish is original. As-found. The clock and barometer are in an hourglass shape mounted to a frame and they pivot or spin within the frame. The clock is a wind-up clock and it functions fine. It does need to be adjusted(there is an adjustment setting which is accessible through the back) It is a little fast, about 8 minutes in five days running. The barometer might need adjusting as well. The faces of the clock and barometer are 2 ¾” in diameter and it stands 8 ½” to the top of the ball finial. It is made of solid brass or bronze and is quite heavy, about 3 ½ lbs. French 19th Century Very Ornate Six Glass Bronze Crystal Regulator Clock by Marti with Temperature Compensating Mercury Pendulum in Outstanding Fully Working Condition This is a superb clock- beautiful. In perfectly working condition and very collectable. It is very ornate and unusual- with six glass design, rather than four. The clock runs and strikes perfectly. The dial is superb, no damage at all. Movement is stamped by"Medaille D'Argent" Silver Medal from a clock exhibition) and Marti et Cie. The clock is in really fantastic shape- clean with virtually no damage whatsoever. The only thing that I could find are several small chips to glasses. Also, back door will not fully close- it hits one of the posts by just a hair. I am not sure what the reason is, but I am certainly not going to force it. French antique brass skeleton clock with glass dome on ebonized black wood stand
You are bidding on a gorgeous French brass frame skeleton clock with glass dome. Made probably in 1860-1870 time period. It is marked on the back of the gear plate which is covered by the bell and I cannot get a picture. Most likely Henri Marc of Paris. Etched brass frame and has two trains, one for time and the other sounds the hour and the half hour on the bell. Pendulum is lovely and etched also. Pendulum makes the gears tick but I cannot guarantee it keeps time; probably will need adjusting. Measures 16" clock, 19" from wooden base to top of clock; 8" across at base of clock. Has key thats winds well, probably not original. Dome appears old and is original to clock when we got it 20 years ago. Bought at a Paris antique market. Has blue Roman numerals. Antique French Louis XIV Bronze Mantel Clock Baroque Rococo Style Lady and Lion Head Decoration Blue on White Enameled Numbers Runs Not Striking Note: All items in our store include NO sales tax to our US customers! Here is a great antique Louis XIV Baroque Rococo style clock for your buying consideration. Recently acquired it at an estate sale. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself. My best guess is that this clock was made no later than the mid 1930s. Base that on the movement. Pendulum and case construction. The clock runs quite well. The clock is meant to strike it's bell once on the half hour and the number of hours on the hour. That part is not working. Not sure if the movement just needs cleaning for the strike or a bushing or two may be needed. So. The clock is in running, but not striking condition. Great case on this ... moreclock. Not sure if bronze or just lacquered to look like bronze. The clock case has a great look to it. There is a lion's head beneath the clock face. Then a woman's head above it. Then the topper is a large urn with hooks off it. I see no cracks, splits or repairs to the metal case. Great detailing over the rest of the clock with all sorts of raised or imbedded images. There is some corrosion to the clock case on the back where there has been some sort of reaction with the case finish with the screws used. Also some loss of finish on the left side bottom. I have not attempted to clean the case. I have only wiped it down. We leave items with the original patina that we find them in. We leave it up to the new owner as to whether that is the way you want it to be or if you want to further clean or restore the finish. The clock face has what appears to be porcelain white pieces that the blue roman numerals are then painted on. The clock also has blue hands. The bezel is firmly attached to the case. A most impressive antique. Circa 1850's, Napoleon III, onyx case mantel clock with ormolu brass mounts. The ormolu dial has a center pierced rosette, fine with black numerals, flat beveled glass in brass door. The case front has two top corner ormolu cupid heads. It is in working order, the brass works marked: Japy Freres. It tells the time, coil chimes the hours and halves. The clock measures 19" tall by 11-3/4" wide by 7" deep. Very good plus condition: the lower back case onyx stone has been broken into pieces and cemented back, all other onyx stones without damage. Ormolu brass in original finish, glass fine in door. Very nice Victorian French made clock signed Ferville Suan. The clock consists od a reclining lady in a darker gold and bronze wash. The figure is gilt metal and is sitting on a very fine marble base which is highlighted with gold dore leaf crests. The figure is signed in the back by Farville Suan and has a front Plaque that reads Printemps par Farville Suan. This three piece outfit has very nice covered urns with embossed decoration and ram heads. Even the inner liners are still intact. I have the original key and pendulum and the clock is in working order. However after shipping some adjustments may need to be made. The clock itself is large at 18 inches long and 5 inches deep.
