A French carriage clock with bevelled glass on four sides and top.not running. The clock. 5 7/8" high by 3 1/8" wide and 2 3/8" deep, is in original condition as found in a local estate. I believe it had a gilt wash over brass or bronze and I haven't attempted to polish it at all so the photos don't show all that well.all of the beveled glass, four sides and top, is in good shape. The mainspring will run for a very short time, so I assume it needs cleaning but I'm selling the clock"as is" It is stamped MADE IN FRANCE on the support for the mainspring.on the back above the hand wind are the letters L and F in script(could be slow and fast, or some other letters. The face is enamel and in nice shape with good hands. The clock weighs a hefty 2 lbs 4.6 oz. and mechanically is very tight. It was our understanding that these items were from a store in Niagara Falls that closed down in the 70's. Which makes sense, because many of the items were wrapped in newspapers from the area and time mentioned. However, we also found many, many items that were wrapped in the La Presse(Montreal, Quebec, Canada) from the 60's, as well as several items that were wrapped in a Dutch Newspaper from the 60's. So it is a bit of a conundrum as to when and/or where these actually originate from. Neat. Vintage German Wall Hanging Mechanical Clock. Proudly featuring thick plastic, resin maybe, front done in a rich French Provincial ... moredesign highlighted with a reproduction Fragonard Painting of two Lovers in a Garden. The numbers appear to be brass with white and black enamel. Made in Germany by Franze Hermle& Sons. It is our understanding that the 72 on the back signifies this clock was made in 1972. This clock measures 11 inches across the face. Each weight weighs 2 pounds 14 ounces. Please note. These MAY be replacement weights, we can see no valid reason why the weights have such a significant amount of wear to them. Whilst we CAN NOT guarantee that this clock works s we see no reason why it shouldn't. It looks like it was taken out of it's original box simply to either display or ascertain if it was complete. The pendulum and weights are both in the box. We have kept one of these clocks for ourselves and after a bit of trial and error and a couple of online videos. We were able to get ours to function, it appears the big secret is balance(flat wall in our case) The wire holding the chain is still attached, but the chain itself has come lose. Nice bezel and beveld glass up front. and blue glass on back door. But it is cracked. The case is not in the best condition and came apart at base. movement looks ok. but is missing bell. The striking does work strikes hours and one strike on half. movement does say bennett 3347 in one circle and in the one where the bell goes says japy freres and other writeing i can not read. It is to small, in a circle. you can see the pictures. I thought it would work. But did not. Would tick for 30 sec. or. So. I bought it for 75.00. so i'm starting at 60.00. I got to have that or i will part it out. it doesn't have a pendulum. But as you can see i was going to see if a american suspension spring would work. Nope. and it had no key. You are looking at a Very Rare and Unique Antique French Miniature Carriage Clock. This little clock is marked on the back of the plate and movement. In the middle of the marking is a“T. M. and a picture of a scale. This clock is an alarm clock. The alarm seems to be working. But the hand of the alarm has broken off in the front. The hour and the minute are still in place. The clock face I believe is porcelain. It has a handle on the top. And the back plate can be opened easily. The two key winds hold the back in place. The clock is only 3.5 inches in height without the handle. 2 ¾ inches wide, 1 7/8 inches deep. With the handle it’s 4.5 inches tall. All measurements approximate. This alabaster clock is very unique. With a lot of brass decorations, four adjustable brass legs. It comes with a pendulum and bell. But the pendulum might not be original. Also comes with key. With some wear. The dial’s outside dimensions are 4 7/8 inches in diameter. With beveled glass. The clock basically has no damage. In excellent condition for its age, except at the front-center-bottom panel, the decorations are missing. I’m sure you can find replacement decorations on eBay. The cathedral-shaped case is made of some sort of dark hardwood with a glossy lacquered and exquisite wood veneer overlay and a contrasting front edge inlay. Stands on four(4) brass legs. The mechanical or key-wound movement is marked. On the brass support plate, to be made in France. By opening the 4" dia. hinged brass back cover plate- you will see the winding and the time adjusting shafts, and most interestingly and unique, the moving or ticking escapement wheel. Antique Seth Thomas French Marble Mantle Clock Open Escapement 8 Day 1890 Circa. This Clock works and keeps great time. The Clock is from around 1886 to 1893. The Clock was made in the USA by Seth Thomas. The Clock was started on 4/28/12. At 8:30 AM. Adjusted slightly to get it on time. Still need more adjusting. The Clock Chimes nicely. It chimes on the half and on the hour. Has a very nice clear crisp clean chime. Please, mote, it does not chime insync at times. Not sure how to get it to chime on the correct time. I thought I had it right. But notice that when it passed the twelve O'clock it chimed wrong. The Solid brass pendulum has a screw on bottom to adjust up or down. Has an s and f on each side. This pendulum has the same markings on both sides. So, it can be placed either way. Keep in mind when this clock is shipped the top hook ... morethat the pendulum is placed will or may move. Make sure that the hook is placed in the middle area. Otherwise the clock will not work. The Clock measures: The base on measures 12" long X 6.5" in depth. The middle part of the clock measures 9.5" long X 5" in depth. The Clock stands 10" Tall. The Clock has a big Chip on top left hand corner. Don't let this discourage you from getting this beauty of a clock. The Clocks is Made of French imported Marble or Onyx. All solid Marble. The Marble needs to be cleaned. Comes with Seth Thomas key. The key is not original to this piece. The Front Glass door is made of thick Beveled glass. The glass door measures 6" in diameter. The Front face is made of porcelain. The face porcelain has mild hairline cracks. Nothing major. The Marble has a chipped or missing edge piece on top left side of the Clock. Other than this, this clock is very cool. ANTIQUE FRENCH CLOCK BASE/ STAND Antique wooden French clock base/stand decorated with what looks like ceramic ornamentation. It is approx 15" tall. 9" wide, a little under 5" deep and weighs almost 3 pounds. The opening for the clock is approx 4" I was told this is French. But I can't find much info on this type/style. It is wooden, but all ornamentation is ceramic or a ceramic-like material. It seems to be in nice condition with nothing missing, but there are obvious touch-ups and minor repairs(most notably around the clock opening) that have been made over the years. There are age fractures in some of the"ceramic decorations" It has a gold/bronze coating. I know little about vintage clocks. So please feel free to contact me with any questions or corrections.

And hourly per time. It comes with the original key and features a porcelain face with gold-gilt accents and beveled glass. There are 3 small scraches on the glass as shown in picure, and the right side of the clock leg has small chips in it- which look like it happened a long long time ago. Antique 1860s Black Marble French Mantel Clock by S. Marti Medaille DeBronze
This French Mantel Clock is quite wonderful. It is made of black marble. The maker is S. Marti Medaille DeBronze. 4 11. It measures approximately12x6x9. The back opening has the little cloth lining so the chimes are soft. It is an 8-day movement and strikes on the hour and half hour. It works very well. There is an inlay design on each side. The face has a little damage as you can see in the photos. The glass casing over the face is all original and beveled. There is a small piece of marble broken off on the back top and is not noticable from the front at all. There is an engraving on the back that reads"131JOBC with 66 88" beneath it. I do not know what this means. The inside is marked S. Marti Medaille De Bronze AC. It is really a fantastic clock for its age. A perfect time piece for the collector. From the restaurant, and the other is a French fries clock that I found in a used goods store back east. They stand about the same height and look really cute together. Around 7 or 7 and 1/2" tall. Antique / Vintage FRENCH MANTLE CLOCK ~ STAND / BASE w/ Marble-like Inserts
ANTIQUE FRENCH CLOCK STAND/BASE Antique French clock base/stand with marble-like inserts(I don't know the exact material. But they are translucent) that have decorative metal inserts within them. There were some notes that came with the base that mentioned 19th century"gilt bronze" but again, I don't know details. The base is approx 15" wide. 5 1/2" at it's widest(center) 5 1/2" high and is heavy, weighing in at over 5 pounds. On inspection. I don't see anything broken, though there was something that screwed into the left and right sides(see holes) that were most likely support legs since this doesn't sit level the way it is. The face in the center is screwed in. Also, the back of the base looks like it was re-coated with a lighter gold material. I know little about vintage clocks. French Morbier VERGE Clock, Pre-1850's
History: Clocks made in the village of Morbier. Near St. Claude, France from 1750 until 1900. They were usually of a long-case variety and also the lantern type of wall clock with long pendulum. The OLDER MOVEMENTS were made with a VERGE ESCAPEMENT(see photo#1)and this is a VERGE. Estate Sale: We just purchased a large amount of Clocks and Pocket Watches from an Estate and will be listing approximately 100-items over the next several weeks. The items were purchased from a Midwest Estate of a clock collector who was 91-years old. The collection has some of the finest(moderately priced) clocks and watches. Up for auction: This is an early VERGE ESCAPEMENT MORBIER CLOCK. Likely made in the late 1700's or early 1800's. The Morbier's made after the mid-1800's did not have Verge movements. So when your looking at the variety of ... moreMorbier's for sale, keep in mind the characteristics of the EARLY MORBIER.They have a much better movement. A more complicated movement and are said to be much better time accuracy. EARLY BELL STRIKES: This early Morbier strikes one-bell on the half-hour and strikes accordingly the hour. ON SALE I just lowered the price. Enjoy! Nice antique French Slate Mantle clock with Brass Pillars. I do not know the maker. It is stamped 11122 on the inside. Check the last picture. It also is stamped 8 and 1. I do have the original key. It seems to work fine but you might want to have it serviced. Size. It is 61 pounds. Very heavy. It is 21.5 inches wide. 15.5 inches tall, and 6 inches deep. It is in good shape for how old it is. Please note that it looks to have been repainted black. The hour/minute hands have been painted white so that you can see them. There is brass around the outside edge of dial. And the dial is porcelain. All of the Pillars are brass. The bottom right corner has a chip. And right above it there is another chip. When it was repainted the paint covers the chips(color wise) The chips are not that big. I am offering a diamond in the rough a beautiful antique French gilded bronze and hand painted porcelain mantle clock made by the renowned French clocks maker Samuel Marti et Cie. This piece was made between 1860 and 1870. Based on the early serial number of 1989. Movement stamped“S. Marti et Cie Medaille de Bronze” in a circle. Samuel Marti was awarded the Bronze Medal in 1860. as well as the hand stamped serial number and the makers mark, there is an interesting mark in the left side of the back plate which is a square with the capital letters C,J,C,C. Please view all photos for these marks and for the overall condition and appearance of this beautiful time piece. This is a working mantle clock and it strike the chimes on the half and whole hours. The condition of this piece is excellent. But need a cleaning to make it glow. The hand painted ... moreporcelain dial and the associate plates are in perfect condition. The back cover is missing, but can be replaced. The front glass cover is perfect. The key and the pendulum are replacements. The pendulum is an original for this type of movement, but comes from a different clock. This clock measures approximately 15.5" tall by 9.25" wide by 5.5" deep. Samuel Marti et Cie were well known clock makers in Paris in the mid eighteenth century. In 1860 it's known that their premises were situated at Le Pays de Montbeliard and in 1863 Marti worked with two other well known clock maker's Roux. And Japy Freres in promoting their clock movements. This type of clock is unique and valuable. Other examples sell for well over $2000 at auction and higher on the open market. Maintain this piece and it will only increase in value. I am offering this clock for a very reasonable starting bid with NO RESERVE. I am selling this Huge Vintage BOULLE Style Neuchatel clock with beautiful INLAID decorations. This giant has it all! A perfect running movement from Hermle. An incredible size and weight, lots of bronze decorations and a stunning appearance in general. I was told that the body is Tortoiseshell but I do not have the knowledge how to recognize this. Even inside the clock. On the"floor" the same material is used as there has been used outside the clock. All Gold decorations on the body are inlaid. The dial has enamel cartouches. Showing the time in Roman numbers; the centre of the dial has a bronze decoration matching the other decorations of this clock. The"legs" come in beautiful shaped bronze as well. The door opens by pulling the handle at the side. The clock has a pendulum which can be seen through the(thick) glass ... moredoor. It comes with a brass(Gilt? dial with Roman numbers. The colour of the case is deep red and gold. Apart from the beauty. This clock has a 2 bell chime, which has an unexpected, remarkably clear sound. It will let you know each half hour and on full hours what time it is with a"tiiing tiiing" The sound leaves the clock through a brass vent which is located in the backdoor. French Crystal Regulator: Antique Brass, Glass, and Porcelain Clock
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This unique and beautiful clock was made in 1880. It was officially appraised by Mr. Bob Hamm(NAWCC 87134) of The Clock Shoppe. Restoration Professionals, Specializing in Sales and Service" or"Antique Clocks& Watches" and"Rare& Unusual Time Pieces" in Dallas, Texas to be worth $3,500 on September 10, 1993 and is likely worth even more now, twenty years later. It has a lovely chime on the hour. At 1:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. It chimes once, at 2:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. it chimes twice, etc. You can listen to a recording I made of the clock's eleven chimes at 11:00 p.m. a few days ago here: The clock is 27 cm tall. 18 cm long, and 12 cm wide. The brass key(5 cm by 5 cm by 0.5 cm) used to wind the clock, the original copy of the 1993 appraisal, and the envelope from The Clock Shoppe ... morethat contains the appraisal will be included. It reads exactly as below: Appraisal September 10. 1993 Type of Clock: French Crystal Regulator Approximate date of manufacture: 1880 Description: Brass with beveled glass on all four sides. The front being curved beveled. Porcelain dial with filigree hands and a gold-plated overlay. The inside circle of which is also decoratively filigreed. The front side posts. The top and bottom plates, the dial ring, and the pendulum are covered with half-round blue glass decorative beads. On the back plate is stamped"J.C. Caldwell& Co. Philadelphia. Centered on the back are the words"Made in France" And on the right side the serial number 875. This clock was made for the above jewelry store as a store name. Comments: Very good to excellent condition. No visible chips in the glass or the dial. The plating is somewhat tarnished from being touched. But only in a minor way. Antique French Bullseye Clock
Late nineteenth century French oeil de boeuf wall clock in excellent condition. Roughly 25" x 19" with a dial diameter of 9.1/2" The eight day movement is of the standard French type and has been hanging in my kitchen for the past five years and performs faultlessly. The dial surround is heavily encrusted with marquetry mother of pearl with silver filigree borders and the hinged frame is ebonised black. A very nice example reminiscent of French bourgoise country life and would be equally at home in a English sitting room. Please contact me for shipping quotes as they vary considerably.

This very nice clock was just bought in our shop last week and it is a very clean french 1890 signed Japy Freres alabaster and Marble mantle clock! This piece has measurements of 15 3/4 x 8 3/8 inches. Also. This comes with a porcelain dial with roman numerals that measured 3 3/4 inches in diameter. It as a thick beveled glass over the dial in the brass bezel. There is a brass eight day movement that is signed by Japy Freres, a very famous french clockmaker on this mantle clock. This movement strikes on a bell on the hours and half hours and it is pendulum driven. This french piece would look very nice on your mantle, and add a'homey' feeling to all who see it and hear it ticking and striking! ANTIQUE FRENCH/ENGLISH( CRYSTAL CARRIAGE CLOCK.Ca 1890-1900's Brass and crystal vintage Carriage Clock in excellent condition.Measures approx.4.25" high and 3" wide at the brass base.panel.There are two tiny nicks to the corners of the back glass door.Very hard to spot and absolutely not detracting.Apart from this,the clock is in excellent + condition and appears to be in full working order.The brass has taken on a pleasing patina and some parts are numbered 59. The mechanism appears to be in good shape and it started as soon as it was wound up a couple of turns.A wind-up key is present and seems to be original to this clock. Clock is marked John Hall and Co on the porcelain face.A couple of addresses were present at one time but have almost faded away.Liverpool" can still be read.Albeit with some effort. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN FRENCH REPEATER ALARM CARRIAGE CLOCK BY HENRI JACOT
A fine Carriage Clock by perhaps the finest of all Carriage Clock makers. Henri Jacot, working in Paris from 1855 to 1900. This beautiful French clock is an hour repeater with alarm in a gorge case. All glass panels are bevelled and free of any chips or cracks. The clock is number stamped 11789 and also stamped with the Henri Jacot Logo. H and J with the Parrot motif on the back plate. Stands 13.5cms high(with the handle down) x 9.5cms wide. The clock comes in its' original carrying case with original escapement and key.
