The case is dark walnut& measures 37"H x 16"W x 5-1/2" Deep. with four full fluted columns. The walnut dial has enamel number plates with roman numerals& all holding pins are intact& also look original. Please look at and enlarge pictures for detail& condition of this beautiful clock. This auction is for clock parts from an antique French carriage clock as shown. The clock is a standard size French made carriage clock. The case size(without handle) is approx: 10.5 x 8 x 6.5 cm side glass: 6.2 x 4.1 cm top glass: 4.6 x 3.2 cm door glass: 7.2 x 4.5 cm I also found 3 platform escapements which would fit these clock types as shown. Measurements are: Brass coloured: 35 x 23 mm x 10 mm(bottom wheel) 35 x 23 mm x 5 mm(bottom wheel) Silver coloured: 32 x 20 x 10 mm Please look at all the pictures. FOR AUCTION: This Stunning French Ormolu Spelter Rococo pierced clock. The fine detail suggests the case was cast by a firm well versed in making fine die-castings. The rich gold color of the finish is more than likely ORMOLU or FIRE GUILT. The clock is topped off with a pineapple with all kinds of designs and piercings down to a dog heads on each side with their claw under that foot. The clock has a total of 7 feet holding it up. The clock case is deigned to represent a moon flask with lotus petal decoration around the edge and lotus decoration to the body as blind fret work. To the top is a finial of mythical creatures. Candelabra are similarly styled with three lights on elaborately scrolling arms. The set is modelled in the round so could be displayed on a table but is also quite shallow in depth at only 5" and would therefore suit a narrow mantle shelve. The dial is designed as part of the case. It is deeply moulded in gilt brass and is fitted with 12 individual enamel cartouche letters. It isn't deigned to have a glass bezel. CASE BY JACOB PETIT WORKS BY PEPIN PARIS I have been very fortunate to have been able to purchase a single owner estate of very beautiful and choice.Mostly German and French Empire period to Napoleon III porcelains, circa 1800 to 1870. This listing is for a fine French Old Paris porcelain clock circa 1830. The clock measures 14 inches or 36 cm high. The clock case is all porcelain and made during the reign of Louis Phillipe. This case was made by and signed by Jacob Petit. Perhaps the most well known"Old Paris" porcelain makers of his time. The case is green and white with heavy gold leaf and floral accents. A glorious and early original antique French clock set featuring Sevres style porcelain and cherubs. It is most exquisitely modelled in the classical style of Louis XVI. Finely chased and crisply modelled in ormolu(finely gilded brass/bronze) and mounted with Sevres style porcelain panels. Porcelain has a blue ground and is delicately painted with floral swags. The panel below the dial is painted with a delightful scene of two cherubs. To the top of the clock is a cherub marking off time. Candelabra have porcelain mounted bases upon which stand cherubs, one boy and one a girl, holding the four branches aloft as burning touch é. Branches are modelled as stylised acanthus. 18th century Clock Keys These three keys were used to wind up the French made mantel clocks that saw more popularity with Americans than English or American made clocks. After George Washington died in 1799. The French made clocks with a figure of Washington along with popular phrases like: Washington, First in War, First in Peace" In His Countrymen's Hearts" E Pluribus Unum" etc. There is three different size square ends measuring roughly 4mm. 3.5mm and 2mm so a good selection that would fit a good selection of various mantel clocks including some American made examples that saw use during the 1775-1810 era. Crudely made with obvious signs of being hand made and finished with a hand file. 18th. century clock keys are very difficult to find.these were recently found amongst a large collection(over 1,000) of 18th-19th century ... morekeys of which only these three keys were found showing their rarity. It is a bell strike movement and comes complete with its opriginal bell. There is no pendulum- both springs are good and it appears in good working order. Looking nice and clean and tidy. The movement is signed'Japy Freres& Ce' and'Exposition 1855 Grand Med. D'honneur' which I believe dates it between 1855 and 1888. It also carries in script'FC' and the number 495. This number matches the number on the dial outer ring. It has soldered and rivetted to the dial outer ring a brass support which is not original- this could easily be removed. For auction sale is an extremely fine antique French Cartel Clock. As you can see. The wood is Walnut, with an ebonized oval surround, The design on the walnut backboard is inlaid ebony, the dial chapter ring is ebony with porcelain roman numerals and all in XLNT condition. The brass bezel is perfect, polished and lacquered for long lasting beauty. I have cleaned the woodwork, lacquered it with 3 coats of DEFT semi gloss lacquer, hand rubbed, and it is truly beautiful and looking like new. The clock dates back to circa 1900. I have overhauled the movement and put it in very fine condition so it is serviced and striking the hours and half hours correctly and running very well. I am a professional clocksmith of merit with 42 years experience. This clock will enhance the beauty of any fine home. Estate Rare OLLENDORFF Antique French Marble Brass Mantle Clock Garniture
You are looking at a rare OLLENDORFF NEW YORK(1868-1930) Watch co. collectable antique french marble and solid brass mantle clock with matching garniture set. Black and white marble clock set with 3 columns on each side of the clock is in very good condition. No cracks, but a small probably natural flack in the back of the lowest part of one middle marble column, see picture#11, also this clock was chipped on the bottom back left corner and was restored, nice job, see picture#12. Clocks Made in France movement is clean and in working condition. Original movements logo was eliminated for the watch company. But this could have been stamped with the"MARTI" round logo. This clock keeps good time. Has an adjustable french pendulum, rings on a brass bell all the hours and half hours, but the 1 o'clock rings twice just like the 2 o'clock? ... moreI noticed this after having this clock listed for over 2 weeks, all the rest rings as expected. There is a brass winding key with this clock. Not original. Enamel dial face with floral swags is also in good condition. No chips or hairlines, but I see some very small chipping around the adjustable hole above the 12 o'clock, probably made with a small adjustable key not available any more. Clock is clean. No tarnish or pitting, just few expected very minor blemishis, stands on turn screw solid brass adjustable feet. The french pendulum is possibly not original to the clock but over all this used old clock is in very nice condition for it's age. Clock is 17" high. 5" deep. Garniture 11" high, 5 1/2" wide with handles. Set will be very well packed for safe shippment. This is a vintage key wind clock. Made in France. It measures 7" across. It has a concave glass cover. It is running fast, will need an adjustment. The gold center looks lightly soiled. See photos.
