VINTAGE DRESDEN PLATE VARIATION QUILT Selling a vintage. 30's-40's, Dresden plate variation quilt. This quilt is in excellent condition, no rips, tears, thinning. It has a cream color background and pretty multi pastel color material used for the circles. It is quilted 6-7 SPI. There are two small stains, and a tiny edge of one circle could stand to be tacked down. There is a 5" area on edge that came loose and needs to be restitched. See pictures. Very fine sewing on this feed and flour sack quilt top. Colors are vibrant. Made in Bedford County. PA. Unused- only one small area where a seam has separated- shown in photo. Has been stored lovingly! The photo of it on the bed is not very clear. But is mostly to just show size of the top on a queen-sized bed. This would be a great quilting project and a great representation of 1920-1930 feed sack quilts.

This quilt was purchased from a local estate. It measure 80"x64" wide. Piece and quilted with 24 pieces of dresden plates, each one measure 10"x11" wide. This quilt was probably made around 1930 period. It is beautiful medium weight quilt and most of the plates are colorful and strong. The four corners has a slit design to fit your bed better. The fabric at the back is floral, no stain and no damaged at all. The front of quilt has some age flaws such as fading located mostly on the pink background. Thinning of material is also present. Two of the plates is missing a few fabric but fixable. There is one patched located right on the edge-an indication of some repair? Offer fell thru.item still for sale 2/18/14* Magnificent German triple women Dresden Lace ballerina figurine. The beautiful girls are in ruffled lace and the approximate measurements are 5 1/2" high and 8" across. There are no cracks and I can't determine any damage to the lace. I am no expert so please look at the pictures carefully as they are part of the description. Ask questions if necessary. The mark on the bottom(from what I can determine) is from the period of 1900-1936. It would make an absolutely beautiful addition to your collection. This figurine with the famed"Dresden lace" is made by dipping real lace into liquefied porcelain and applying that soaked lace to the figurine. The cotton of the lace is burned off in the firing to leave on the figurine the actual porcelain lace.

URN VASE SEVRES STYLE CIRCA 1880 CONTINENTAL WITH DRESDEN STYLE FLORAL DECOR! These vases were produced in 1880s Europe to emulate the famous Sevres style. Most likely produced in France or Germany. The are hand painted with the Dresden floral glazed patterns. The marks within the caps of the urn are very close to the Sevres. They have Ormolu mounts for the gilded metal decorations. There are no chips or cracks. There is some minor wear on the porcelain and some minor marks on the metal mounts. Colors have remained quite vibrant. Geometric dark fuchsia background, 4 round medallions with flower baskets and 4 ram head handles. All of the flower baskets show some variation to the types of flowers. It shows extensive gilding of the design work with solid gilding of the ram heads. Maker’s Mark: 1901 Dresden Carl Thieme trademark. This listing is for a Limoges/ Sevres Watering Can. We sent photos to a china expert in London at the High End Bonhams Auction House to have a look at this Watering Can because it resembled an 18th Century Vincennes watering can which they sold for 79.000 thousand pounds or $129,000 US. They were very kind in that they replied to our enquiry and this is the reply that we received: Thank you for contacting Bonhams and sending a photo of your porcelain vessel. It is hard paste porcelain(you can tell by the glassy look it has in the light) So it cannot be Vincennes or early Sevres, but it seems to be a later imitation of earlier 18 th century porcelain that the Limoges factories made during the end of the 19 th century. As such. we are unable to help you sell it. This is a beautiful piece of porcelain and with this information it is most likely ... morecirca 1890-1899; the lid has chips to the flowers on top and one side(on the inside) lip of the flange that holds the lid in place is missing- there is also a firing crack just at the spout of the can- please see photos. We do believe that. Even if this is a 19th century reproduction, it is quite rare as after extensive research. We could not find any information or examples of a similar watering can anywhere over the internet- other than the one mentioned above. The can measures approximately 6 11/16 inches tall(without the lid) or 7 7/8 inches with the lid with a width of 8 3/4 inches and a weight of 1.9 pounds or 734 grams. The can has the Sevres mark in blue over the glaze( just as it should if this were a genuine 18th century piece) Please see my other items!
