This auction is for a matching set of 4 Old Ironstone Polychrome Mulberry Transferware Plates. I am not certain of the exact maker but I believe they date to the late 1800s. They are each marked on the back"Marone Dresden Flowers" and with the number 1955. Which is clearly a pattern number and not a year. These plates are very rare and are especially hard to find in this quantity. If you can find them. It is typically one plate at a time. They measure 8 inches across and each have 12 sides. I believe they would be considered lunch plates. There are no chips or cracks in any of the plates. All the plates have fine. Even crazing as is expected from ironstone of this era. One plate is in very good condition without any discoloration. One plate has some discoloration on the back only. One plate has moderate discoloration on the front ... moreand back. One plate has considerable discoloration. The base transfer images of flowers are in Mulberry or a soft purple. Each plate has splashes of colors- yellow. Red, blue and green- that are hand applied to the under glaze. The hand detailing gives an individual feel to each plate. Although they are from the same pattern and set. An exceptional Dresden porcelain cabinet plate decorated by the workshops of Ambrosius Lamm using blanks from the KPM factory. The plate is exquisitely decorated. Hand painted scene of the Three Fates. E nhanced with heavy gilt Impasto work typical of Lamm's better cabinet pieces. Ambrosius Lamm operated a porcelain decorating studio from 1887 to 1949 in Dresden. Germany. He was known for painting in the style of Meissen, Vienna, and Copenhagen and produced work of exceptional quality. He did not manufacture the porcelain but purchased blanks from Meissen. Rosenthal, Hutschenreuther, as well as KPM. Favorite decorating techniques were his use of detailed figures, lustre glazes, and Impasto work(raised gilt paste decoration. 1870s Wax Angel, Gold Dresden Wings. 7.00" German Christmas Ornament
Early 1870s Large Wax Angel with Gold Dresden Wings. This is at least 1870s. And I would venture to say, well before. It does have its issues. One hand has been replaced and repaired. And the wings need some work. I purchased this early in my teaching career while attending a writer's conference. This conference was in Rhinelander. Wisconsin. It is molded of solid wax. And I would also say, made by a baker who used different molds to make wax ornaments. This was in the very early years. Wonderful face. Blond mohair hair. With some missing in back as you can see. A metal gold crown pushed into hr head. The one arm is perfect. And the other arm was replaced. This a professional doll person could restore. But I never did get to do that with this angel. The wonderful silver. Gold, and lace fabric to cloth the angel. Cardboard Dresden gold ... morewings on back on springs inserted into back of body. But they too. Could use some restoration. Metal hook inserted into back of body with original wire used to hang it on the tree. Detail is amazing if you look closely at hands and toes. A very early angel. Often hung by rubber bands so they would sway and seem to fly through the boughs. 7.00" and in very good shape. At least I say, considering her very early age. And add to that. Solid wax. It is almost a miracle that she survived down to day. There is nothing wrong with angel OTHER THAN WHAT IS MENTIONED ABOVE. In fact. They are in very good shape. They are vintage, not reproductions. I guarantee that. I start all my auctions at.99 cents as it is an auction and I just never cared when I went to live auction and the auctioneer started very high. And then spent time backing down to get a bid. I am more than happy to combine postage on multiple orders to save money. Antique Dresden Porcelain Figural Group Lamp Seated Woman and Boy - Ernst Bohne?
Stunning Dresden Porcelain Figural Group as Electric Lamp This is a beautifully painted Dresden porcelain figural group(lamp) of a seated woman with a lapful of fruit and a little boy at her side who clearly wants his just desserts. She has a long flowing dress richly decorated with an all-over floral pattern in all the colors of the rainbow and a lavender top. She is wearing a beautiful plumed bonnet on her head. Note damage to back of bonnet and the loss of the lady's right foot. The boy is wearing a pair of black trousers and a green jacket with peach trim. Note damage to lower right of jacket. There is a basket of fruit tucked behind the little boy. Both mother and son are exquisitely painted with incredibly life-like features. Simply gorgeous! The base measures 8" in diameter and the height to the top of the bonnet is 9" ... moreThere is a a column(into which the lamp is set) which measures about 9 1/2" high and overall height to the top of the harp is 19" I will attempt to remove the harp for shipping but it's tight. The base has a lovely repeating gilded pattern with gilding to the column as well. There is a Crown N mark in blue underglaze at the base of the column in the back as seen in the last photograph. I am not certain but I believe this to be the mark of the Ernst Boehne factory. The bottom of the piece seems to be signed in pencil I Wahl and the numbers 4656 but hard to be certain. This may be the name of the modeler or a previous owner. I have tested the lamp and it works! The lamp socket appears to be one GE introduced in 1907 so I'm guessing that this group dates to then or earlier. I am an extremely good packer and will take great care to package this for delivery to your door. Shipping price includes insurance. Please ask all questions before bidding. This is a a beautiful and quite rare to find figural lamp created by the Muller Volkstedt factory of Germany. A lady is sitting at her vanity powdering her face as a young boy puts her shoe on her foot. It is a rare example created by this factory and dates 1920s-40s. The lady has a tiny chip on the end of her pointer finger and the boy has a broken thumb. Minor on display. There is some lace chipping to her gown as well. I did not test the lamp to see if it works however the cord is intact. Measures 8 1/2 inches high by 5 1/2 inches wide. Very special piece for the collector! Nice Old Vintage Antique 1923 Dresden "Adolph Adler Sr." 1 Pc. Back Violin - NR
Up for auction is a nice old antique German made 1 pc back full size violin for restoration. The nicely figured 1 pc curly maple back measures 14 1/8 by 7 7/8 inches. There are no bassbar or soundpost cracks on the violin. The scroll and pegbox are in good shape and the neck is solid. The fingerboard and pegs are ebony and the pegs turn smoothly. There are no open seams and the soundpost is standing. The violin is labeled as a"Model Nicola Amati Made by Adolf Adler Sr. Dresden 1923" There are 2 small hairline wing repairs on each F hole. the repairs are stable and holding(please check pic) Thi s nice old vintage German made violin is for restoration/setup. This is a magnificent Richard Klemm signed Dresden pierced floral candy dish. That frankly equals or even outshines the Meissen pierced dishes, and uses a Meissen blank. The Meissen name is imprinted into the dish itself, along with two canes and another name I cannot read. The reverse also has the Richard Klemm mark, along with Dresden and Made in Germany. This was a grandmother piece, and I would date it at the early 1930s. The dish is in beautiful condition, no chip, cracks or crazing, or problems of any kind. It will come double-boxes to arrive safely to you. The dish measures 7.5" across and stands 1.5" tall. It is hand-decorated with gold leaf. Two Dresden rabbits. One has a drum while the other appears to have a soccer or basketball or maybe even a ball of yarn. Set of 5 wooden hand-worked choirboys from Dresden, Germany in box.
Here is a charming little set of German wooden choirboys for use at the Christmas holiday. They include five boys. Four with an open hymnal and one with a star to hold. Colors are black, white, and natural wood. These were purchased in Dresden in 1995. I believe it says hand-worked in German on the front on a little white seal. Very cute for display at Christmas. All labels are in German. Size: Overall box is about 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" Each boy measure about 3 1/4" tall.

East German (DDR) Criminal Police Warrant Disk. DRESDEN Issue. Rare!!! OBSOLETE!
I have an opportunity at times to find very nice. Rare, antiques through my estate sales, auctions, etc; this is one of them. This is an original, East German(DDR) Criminal Police warrant disk. It is oval shape and approx 50mm wide by approx: 32 mm high at it's tallest point. The disk shows wear and was certainly carried by a criminal police detective. It is numbered 2-265. The number" 2" represents the city of DRESDEN. The number" 265" represents the 265 th Kriminal Polizei detective to be issued the warrant disk. There were ONLY 675 disks like this ever issued and they were issued numbers: 2-1 through 2- 675. THAT'S IT. To say these are UNCOMMON is an under statement in my book. They are SUPER RARE. 2)1-675 an den Bezirk Dresden. = 675 Stück The key hole ring is enlarged due to use and sits a fract ion higher ... morethan normally seen This warrant disk did not sit in some high officials desk. One look at it and it speaks history.a"One look right" The back of this disk has some wear and there are some age spots on it. This East German(DDR) warrant disk was carried by the Kriminal Polizei from July 23rd. 1952 till the 1980's. The reverse reads, Volkspolizei Der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik" When the wall came down. These Kripo agents did everything they could to rid themselves of this disk so very few survived.let alone only 675 of these assigned to"Dresden" to begin with. I will attend Military shows and will say that you seldom ever encounter these disks at the largest military shows. There are more WWII examples(Which are also quite RARE) than there are DDR examples.hands down. So. If you are looking for a very RARE piece of history, something you can frame for a great conversation piece, this is it. The holder of this warrant disk was in the KRIMINAL POLIZEI. He was responsible for investigating crimes including murder. Crimes against the state, etc: The holder of this warrant disk gave the owner unlimited search. Seizure and arrest powers. T

Antique Vintage 1 DRESDEN PLATE Quilt Block originally from Lancaster County. Pa. c.1930-1940. This beautiful quilt block is approx. 14 inches across and is ALL Hand-Pieced. It is also basted around the center hole and outside edges very neatly. The 17 petals are a mixture of Apron and dress cotton fabrics of the day. Each petal measures 5.25" long and 2.25" wide. The colors are typical 1930's-40's purple. Pinks, blue, with white, etc. This block lies flat. Excellent/Mint condition and project ready. Clean. Strong and sturdy, no spots or stains or loose seams. Anton Reiche Dresden Chocolate Dutch Mold Shoe early 1900's, mold # 9753
This is an antique Anton Reiche Dresden 0( stamped at the bottom) chocolate mold in the shape of of a Dutch shoe! It is intricately double hinged at the top with an additional hinge at the heal. The clasps line up to close the shoe. However, it will require clamps to keep the item shut. The mold number is 9753 is incised below the sole, please refer to the picture. The mold is believed to be 1920's or earlier. The mold is well preserved with normal wear with age and use. The interior and exterior has not be cleaned and is original condition. The length is 9 inches x 3.75 inches.

Vintage 28 Feedsack Quilt Pieces Fans or Dresden? These fans or dresden quilt pieces have been machine sewn. The pink quarter circles and the outside edges have been sewn by hand. The outside edges have been turned over and hemmed with a wide stitch 4 stitches per inch and the same with the pink pieces in the center. Those haven't been turned over just stitched on to the other pieces in the fan. From the very tip of the pink quarter circles to the outside tip edge is 9 1/2 inches and from the widest parts across 12 inches. In one of the last pictures I put four of them together to show the possibilities of these pieces. There were a couple of these that did have some light spots but I think once this has been made into a complete quilt you can wash it and possibly they may come out. These pieces are in good condition and just waiting ... moreto be put to good use. These have been previously owned. We have other vintage linens in our store.
